Well their method has been to build defenses into their country’s infrastructure, build lots of tank barriers, lots of bunkers into their mountains that can take all its citizen Incase of war, and make gun training for their citizens for as young as 5 and mandatory between 13-30s. In fact they have a govt sponsored snipping competition for kids.

Effectively they are ready for war, and defend their homeland while stay non-aligned. These plans started during the nazi regime I believe.

There’s alot of documentaries on YouTube about these defensive measures.
