Ex-Governor Aregbesola of Osun State once boasted of a comprehensive economic blue print that will link Osun State to tap from the economy of Lagos State by supplying agricultural produce to Lagos State but got derailed in his second year in office.
I believe supplying agricultural products to Lagos should further improve and strengthen the economy of southwest as whole.

Take for example, I was at a village after Iseyin in Oyo state sometimes last year where a full basket of tomatoes was sold for ordinary N400 while such basket should fetch nothing less than N5000 in Lagos.

The same story could be seen all the Villages of Oyo and Osun where cheap food are sold for almost nothing but one can make a fortune selling them in Lagos.

If both Oyo and Osun state government can work something out with Lagos state government and trade union leaders in Lagos, the economies of the South West would further improve and the fortunes of the Yoruba people would be better for it.

He was comparing a woman getting money from ordinary 1000 to 2000 barrels of oil a day to a woman getting money from over 25,000 barrels of oil a day.

I don't even ordinarily need to project wealth of others because Alakija's billions doesn't benefit me in anyway, but I already know the intention of Anambra village boy has an ethnic angle to it.

Why hate on her just because of her tribe?

Her oil well is not even on Igbo land to begin with!

Stop fooling yourself. Famfa oil receives 60% after Supreme court judgement. Before then, it was 10%. grin
Bro even if it's 10%

That is close to 1million dollars a day

25,000 barrels × $30 before covid 19

That is $60 - $30 cost of production

$750,000 a day and × 30

$22.5 per month in revenue

Imagine making this kind of money for 11 years

They have started claiming Lagos igr too. Lmao. Look at what one of those deluded people posted and compare it with what nbs reported as the source of Lagos igr... Bulk of Lagos igr comes from PAYE which are taxes from wages and salaries of workers in the formal sector, that's civil servants, bankers, etc. The taxes from markets are under other taxes as listed below. Cc forgiveness, Grayoso, oyatz, akin physicist, legendhero, kayfra, sunshineg5
Bro, we have maintained that the huge population in Lagos is not exactly a blessing to Lagos because very few of the population pay taxes, especially the small scale igbo businessmen.

Many of them came to Lagos because of the prosperity of Lagos and now claim to have built Lagos despite having contributed very little in taxes.

What we need now is for other South west state to tap into the Lagos story

Oyo and Osun in particular needs to start producing 75% of the Agricultural needs of Lagos.
PoliticsRe: South-East Surface Areas Barely Surpasses Oyo State Landmass by Sunshineg5(m): 12:04pm On May 26, 2020

77,818km2 - It is also known as the south west geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The area lies between longitude 2 31 and 6 00 East and latitude 6 21 and 8 37 N (Agboola,1979) with a total land area of 77,818km2.

76,363 km² - Size of Niger State, Nigeria.

where do u get ur own stats from biko.
phew

So we are doing this again

Oyo = 28,454

Ogun=16,792

Osun=9,251

Ekiti=6,353

Ondo=15,500

Lagos =3,345

Total = 79,695

Niger state =76,363

So = 79,695- 76,364= 3,332

Anambra = 4,844 km/2 = 2,422 km

Hence, the difference between South west and Niger state is bigger than the half of Anambra which is my original statement.

Hope you have learnt something. cheesy

The production level is there

Fanfa gets 10% of 250,000 barrels per day which is 25,000 barrels
She is improving, DPR yet to release 2019 , the capacity of the Ajapa field is 40,000bpd, her company is the one doing the exploration unlike Famfa, that's enjoying what Chevron throw to her on behalf of IBB grin that's the point
So you have given up trying to prove she is at the same level as Alakija ? cheesy

So Uju is still an upcoming artist? cheesy

Shebi Uju bought her own oil fields from the market without having any connection with government officials whatsoever?

Bruv, the name itself "Marginal oil fields" should tell you that the oil fields have very limited production capacities. The largest marginal oil field in Nigeria out of 10 currently operating produces 15,000 barrels.

Even in 10 years time, Uju would never reach the level of Alakija's wealth cheesy
Information I'm giving is from DPR, Famfa stake in Agbami field is 10%, Agbami is production sharing field unlike Ajapa that's marginalike firld
Marginal fields means the field's estimated reserves is small and anticipated production will be minimal.

Most top companies were not interested in the marginal fields because it's not cost effective, hence Nigeria investors were given.
Check out Ajapa as at 2018
So how is 1million per year equal to 20,000 per day, the production is two thousand plus per day at best.

20,000 × 30 = 600,000

600,000 ×12 = 7,2000,000 barrels a year

Lol you’ve destroyed on his own thread. I hope he doesn’t cry to the mod to close the thread down like pazienza did with the other thread.

These guys just lay hand on a source and just rush to Nairaland to display it thinking it favors them. However superior argument by intellectuals can easily dump their point to the trash.

This is something else they are doing these days. They lay their hand in a source which most times always favor the Yorubas. But they purposely bring few bit of the source that favors the Igbos and rush to Nairaland to post it while they claim the source is anonymous.

The reason for that is that they know if they post the actual source, people can always go to the link to verify the whole thing and their cover will be blown.

On Alakija matter, no one needs to trumpet her achievements coz a king that has to say I am a king is no true king.
Thanks bruv

The Anambravillageboy is quite relentless unlike some of his ipob brothers that would rather cry when beaten at their own game, he would still come back with some other angle to save face, even if it is last resort which are the pictures of Two floors "skyscrappers" at upper Ukwa

Sorry, my bad.

Have forgotten that oil exploration is rocket science. Only aliens can actually dare to try their hands on such technology.

Alakija is not an alien , wonder how one would expect her to actually be involved oil exploration.
No! She would carry Hausa to the offshore field and tell them to start digging inside the ocean for crude oil.

So why is she into the partnership with Chevron and Petrol Brazil

You think drilling an oil well is like drilling drilling a local well for water.

Or building an oil rig is building a three bedroom bungalow? grin
