Same here. Got the success mail, and I was scheduled 2 weeks ago for an interview. Hoping to get a positive response from them.

Bro! Reading this piece just reminded me of the past. I started writing SFM and FR in November 2011. I struggled with these papers until the syllabus was reviewed in 2014 and i was made to write Case study as an additional paper. In summary, i was faced with SFM, CR and Case study.
I struggled with them till i finally came out victorious in November 2015. I passed CR and case study in November 2014 and failed SFM again for the 6th time. i wrote it in May, 2015 and failed again making it the 7th failure.
I was almost giving up but i felt i had gone to far to call it quits. I wrote it finally in November 2015 for the 8th time and passed with a whooping score of 74 marks.
My colleagues were always laughing at me prior to this and at a point i was keeping my exam information secret as i told them i had stopped writing ICAN but i was secretly going to write it without their knowledge. You know what that means.... i had to be using my annual leave to write my exams instead of my exam leave so they dont figure what i was up to.

Today, i am proudly an ACA as I was inducted at the last Ceremony held between 10th to 11th of May, 2016 with membership number 0395

Never give up bro. Exams are not true test of Knowledge. You only have to believe in yourself and pray for God's grace. You will surely qualify one day and the good thing is that when it comes, you wont feel all the pains you are going through now. You would rather feel very fulfilled.

Generally speaking, "all auditors are accountants and not all accountants are auditors". if you can ponder on this assertion critically to get the deep meaning of what i mean, you will come to realize that auditing can be boring when you do not have the quest for knowledge. As an auditor, you stand to gain a lot because you are exposed to a whole lot of information in different areas of the industry you find yourself even though you may not be an expert.
A financial accountant for instance may be limited to the preparation of income statements and other relevant reconciliations. But an auditor can have knowledge in what the accountant does and other aspect of the business like, HR, Strategy, Admin, capital markets, treasury functions, stockbroking and foreign subsidiaries. I can boldly stand her to say that the experience i have gained so far was because i was an auditor in a bank with challenging assignments and this brought out the curiosity in me and i consciously or unconsciously learnt a lot. I am currently and auditor in an oil coy where the experience too has been quite rewarding. NOTE: I just became an ACA lately and my journey just started .

My dear, I can only tell u hw many hrs it is frm auchi in edo to kano which is 11hrs. I can authoritatively tell u dat u have notin to be scared of abt dis town... I have been here working with a bank for almost 2yrs after my nysc and spending 25yrs in lagos. I was actually transferred frm lagos to dis city. I have seen corpers come n go n urs won't be different. Kano is peaceful compared to yobe,borno, and bauchi. I live my normal lasgidi life here. If u r coming frm lasgidi, take a bus to Osogbo. Its usually easier from oshodi park and tell d driver to drop u at nysc camp juntion along d express and cross 2d other side where u will get a bike stright 4 jst #60. If u r coming frm d east, u can get a direct bus frm onitsha park near d bridge to ile ife. Frm lagere in ile ife, enter a bus to osogbo and drop at d orientation camp juction at ede. Alternatively, u can also get a bus goin to ore then, u can get direct bus frm dere to ede. If u r coming frm d north especially abuja, u can get buses frm either nyanya b4 bridge, jabi, or zuba park. Enter a bus to ife/ibadan or lagos straight and drop at ife. Frm dere get a bus to osogbo. Well, I think dis will do d map's job. I won d Mr NYSC contest during my time and passed out last year. Well I served in osun state and won the MR Macho contest. Osun is a peaceful and strees free place to serve. If given d opportunity, I will serve dere again. For dose influencing their postings witout having a strong ground in where they r going to especially places like Lagos and Abuja, am sorry for u guys. I have stayed 23yrs in lagos,2yrs in abj and currently working in Kano. Served in Osun as I said and I graduated frm UNN in Enugu. I have moved to almost 18 states in d country and I can confidently tell you abt d way tins are in some regions. For dose posted to Kano, Don't be scared as tins r calm 4 nw.
