iwriteall:Lol. You're expressing yourself. Proves that you are the same person. Hopeless scammer. Get a life. |
iwriteall:You are the same person. Lol. Bro ask for help if you need help. Why accusing people falsely on Nairaland? Is this the new yahoo yahoo style? |
Lol. Is this how you want to start the new year? Accusing people falsely on nairaland? You are a hopeless scammer. You just went to the job opening I made, copied some information from there, composed this writing and posted. What do you want to achieve with this? Who are you seff? You commented on the job post two days ago on December 29 and you're claiming you've worked with me for 28 days. Haha. Hopeless scammer. I feel sorry for your life. I will report this post. This is defamation of character.

Happy new year fellow traders. I want to start this year here asking this question: Can crypto really make one rich? If you don't mind, share your success stories make we take motivate ourselves. Some of us have lost more than we can think of making in this den of lions. Thanks and I wish you all a victorious and prosperous year. |
GRACEGLORY:One thing I have learnt about this crypto market is that it is far more heartbreaking to get left behind than to be in a losing trade or lose a trade. Also it is a thrilling adventure to just watch your money go up and down with the tide and then eventually pump (or nose dive lol). This has made me give up day trading and I'm glad my patience is gradually increasing to be able to watch the market even when I'm in a losing position. I can't tell you how many times I have ended a losing position and then woke up to see that the asset has pumped. At that moment, I just say to myself - "If only I had just a little more patience". But I still wonder how people manage to hold positions for months or even years anyway. That ability definitely takes some years to master. Kudos to all the veterans in the house. Meanwhile 1000Bonk is pumping hard. That stupid coin that once wrecked me. Pepper body coin. I have vowed that I will get rich with that coin. |
GRACEGLORY:Very powerful words to start a very promising and bullish day. |
GRACEGLORY:Yes sir. Thanks for the input. I have made up my mind sha. This 2024, I no go gree for this crypto market. |
GRACEGLORY:Hmmm. Did you know I actually read that article after I greedily longed Eth and one other useless altcoin two days ago in anticipation of more bull run? It's funny how (we newbies) become interested in reading more about the market after getting into a position that immediately goes against us. Lol. Omor you go serious start to dy read everything that time. Haha It's even funny that I just lost huge money few weeks ago which made me swear that I was never going to do this again; look at me now. It's like the fear of missing out is stronger than the fear of going bankrupt honestly. But this crypto thing, everybody says one thing and then you follow and the next day, everybody is saying another thing. Lol. It will then feel as if you have been deceived. Chai. Body dy pain me. Look at the market now. Everywhere is showing red red red. Somebody help me please. GRACEGLORY help me. What I am doing is just overzealous gambling. You always say you are not a gambler - help me not to be a gambler. |
Really old post. |
It’s that time again — when your friends and family members who know you’re into Bitcoin text asking if now is the time to buy. A time that signifies we’re at another peak in bitcoin’s price. I know, I know. How bah-humbug of me. But the truth is, if you’re thinking about buying bitcoin right now, it might not be the best time to make a sizable purchase — despite the fact that we might see spot bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds) approved in the near future (possibly as early as January). Why? Let’s start by looking at bitcoin’s price action during periods leading up to the last two Bitcoin halvings. (The next is due in late-April, when block 840,000 is expected to be mined.) Bitcoin halving cycles last about four years (210,000 blocks produced at approximately 10 minutes per block). At the commencement of each cycle, the block subsidy reward that Bitcoin miners receive is cut in half, which triggers a bitcoin supply shock. Historically, bitcoin’s price has risen dramatically during the year and a half that follows the halving. The price then tanks and trades in a range for the cycle’s other two and a half years. From late-2013 until mid-2016, when the second halving occurred, bitcoin’s price fell from $1,166 to $156. It then rebounded to $780 — 67% of the previous all-time high — before falling 40% to $472 in August 2016. The $472 price point marked a local bottom just one month after the second halving took place. From late 2017 to late 2018, bitcoin’s price fell from $19,666 to $3,150 before rebounding to $13,882 — 70% of the previous all-time high. By March 2020, its price had fallen 72% to $3,867. $3,867 marked a local bottom two months before the third Bitcoin halving, which occurred in May 2020. Another two-and-a-half-year period that precedes a Bitcoin halving is coming to an end. This period began in late 2021 and will end in April 2024, when the fourth halving is scheduled to occur. During this period thus far, bitcoin’s price has fallen from $69,000 to $15,522 before rebounding to $44,759 — 65% of the previous all-time high. This 65% rebound — the current one — is awfully close to the 67% and 70% rebounds we saw in the two previous cycles. And so the big question now is: Will bitcoin’s price retrace significantly leading up to the next halving as it has leading up to the two previous halvings? If bitcoin’s price were to fall 40% from these current levels — as it did in 2015-2016 — we’d see bitcoin’s price at $26,855. (As of writing, it is approaching $44,000). If it were to fall 72% — as in 2019-2020 — we’d see bitcoin’s price at $12,532. I’ve seen very few people mention such numbers in the wake of the euphoria bitcoin investors are currently experiencing. So, will this time be different? Aren’t we waiting for billions of dollars to flow into bitcoin almost immediately after the spot bitcoin ETF is approved? Maybe. No one knows whether an approval of a spot bitcoin ETF is priced into the bitcoin market yet. Some believe it is and that the announcement of a spot bitcoin ETF will be a “buy the rumor, sell the news” event — a situation in which bitcoin’s price rises in anticipation of a spot bitcoin ETF announcement, as it has been, but then sells off once the ETF is announced. Others say it’s a “buy the rumor, buy the news” event — a situation in which bitcoin’s price rises in anticipation of a spot bitcoin ETF and rises again once the ETF is announced. The truth is that no one knows what will happen in the wake of a spot bitcoin ETF being approved and coming to market. And with Bloomberg analysts predicting a 90% chance of approval by January 10, 2024, hardly anyone seems to be asking the following question: What happens to bitcoin’s price if the spot bitcoin ETF isn’t approved? (Though CoinDesk did.) This scenario could easily be grounds for a significant drawdown in bitcoin’s price. The drawdown might not be as severe as the previous two, but it would likely be notable. Also, what happens to bitcoin’s price in the event of a hard landing? While the powers that be and major institutions will have you believe that we’re on our way to a soft landing or, at worst, a mild recession, those of us who remember hearing the exact same rhetoric in 2008 aren’t so convinced. A number of reputable outlets have stated that we may be amid a “melt-up” — a situation in which asset prices rise parabolically before crashing catastrophically. This isn’t hard to believe given that the Dow Jones Industrial Average is at an all-time high, while the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq are almost there, as well — all while we’re still in an environment in which investors can earn over 5% risk-free in money market mutual funds. If a melt-up is currently taking place and bitcoin’s price is going along for the ride, then there are two more questions we have to ask: How high does bitcoin’s price rise before it comes crashing down, and what sort of investing strategy is best to employ if this is the case? While the first question is difficult to answer, the second isn’t as challenging. By all means, continue to HODL your BTC and DCA (dollar-cost average) into the asset, as these investment strategies have proven fruitful for anyone who has held BTC for more than four years. The one thing you might want to avoid amid this euphoria is aping into a large position at these levels — especially with any sort of leverage. (To quote the Founder & CEO of Custodia Bank, Caitlin Long, “A fool and their leveraged bitcoin are soon parted.”) If we see a massive drawdown in bitcoin’s price, you’ll want to have some cash on the sidelines to buy, not find yourself bitcoin-less and cash-strapped due to acting like an overzealous gambler. As always, we don’t know where bitcoin’s price will go from here. Maybe it actually will move up only both into and beyond the halving. But if history repeats itself and bitcoin performs the way it has right before prior halvings, we may see bitcoin at a significantly lower price as the halving in April 2024 approaches. GreatManBee:The payment goes to a friend's paypal account and after taxes in the person's country and bank charges, I only get around 60%. I've not been able to find another way to solve the issue. |
Hope they will not allow people perform crypto transactions with their banks for few months and then later close it, then start targetting accounts that have been used to do such transactions. P2P has been serving well and it's very anonymous. Transacting with the bank leaves too many traces. The only problem is that banks will offer reduced USD exchange rate for buying and that will attract people. Somebody whisper to CBN that we also want them to allow Paypal operate freely here. I'm tired of collecting only 60% of my salary every month. |

Stamina777:I use to work as a cleaner in a bank branch a few years ago. I resigned in 2021 after working there for 4 years. During my work there, I was the youngest person in the entire branch so everybody sends me on errands. Those 100, 50 naira change on top was what I was after because they help me alot. After buying the food for my colleagues, I would use their change to also buy for myself too. At a time it became too much as they almost turned my primary job into an errand boy. I had to fight and stop the errands and focus on my future. At the time, I only had waec which I even failed. It was with that cleaning job that I was able to write Nabteb and then furthered my education. If a school is around you, it will be easier. After morning cleaning, you can just go to class and if nothing is going on in school, you can return to the office and it is important to also have somebody telling you what's going on in school. Before you know it, you will be done with school and have the result to apply for a better position in the bank if you wish to continue working there. You have to focus on your future. Fast forward to the topic at hand. Most young guys who have worked as cleaners experience this, especially if you are the one running errands for everybody. The ladies especially will treat you very well, you will almost think they like you. Most of them just want to continue using you. And you may just be having that feeling because you feel she can help your life easily. I think some can be genuine anyway but the challenge is that the gap is too much. Cleaner and banker. They will always look at you lesser except it is just genuine love and the lady loves you too. The chances of this ever working is very slim and the stress is just too much. Both of you will not be able to work in peace in the bank anymore. If she really really loves you, she will tell you to stop running errands for others and will also be commanding you sometimes because she is above you in the office and you will not be able to take this for long. The challenge is just too much. There was a particular petite lady at the bank where I worked as a cleaner. This lady just liked me. I almost felt she wanted me to be screwing her. She would come to the cleaner's office where I use to sit down most of the time (if there's nothing to do) and just rest her head on my shoulder. My preek go just stand. She does not do this to any other person in the bank. She was so close to me and just like touching me every time. The connection was very visible that my fellow cleaners were even telling me to advance that she was giving me green light. I was just too scared and afraid of doing it abeg. In my own case, I believe I would have been able to nack this lady if I was a bad boy. Even apart from that particular lady, there were plenty of others in the bank who were just too nice to me that I had feelings for. Many, fine fine girls o. But I'd rather go and stand outside and toast one customer or student (because the bank was close to a big polytechnic) than toast a staff. The problem is that you are bored. It happened to me too. So after morning cleaning, I would just go upstairs and start pressing my phone. I loved writing so much and so at a time, I started applying for writing jobs on this nairaland. When I got a job, I would use my free time to do it and that filled up the gap so I was no longer bored because it was like doing two jobs at the same time. I eventually resigned and started writing full time. Now I earn in a month what some of those my former colleagues earn in 6 - 7 months. No jokes. For now, what you should be focused on is how to build yourself up and get yourself a better future. On the other hand, you will definitely leave there one day so if you want to have some adventures and be able to tell those funny stories later, you can try asking her out. The world will not end. Just do it casually and don't count on her saying yes. She might say no and you move on with your life. Whatever happens from there, you can face it. You are a strong man. I wish you good luck bro. |

I wish you strong men out here more wins and less losses. I believe soon, I too will be telling this horrific story of mine to another newbie and using it to advice them. |
nna777:Thank you for the kind words and advice. I am taking down notes. This over leveraging was also an addiction for me. I used 100x leverage to short Bitcoin in one trade. Abeg carry cane beat me. Lol. |
twosquare:Thank you for the advice. For now, though, I will just stay away from this thing and nurse my wounds silently. |
I can't do this anymore abeg e. I just lost all the money I used to invest in this crypto market. It happened first week of December when Bitcoin pumped. I was busy shorting the market. My heart was always racing like it wanted to explode. I don't know how I managed to enter the industry at such a wrong time. I don't just know what came over me. And the money was even a loan o. Now I have to pay for 12 months from my salary and the interest is high. I see people mocking somebody who just died because of 2.5 million. That's not even up to how much I lost. My heart almost failed me too. Some of you here have become so used to losing huge money that's why it does not move you. I takes years to develop that kind of big heart and not everybody can survive that lifestyle. Yesterday, I tearfully withdrew the remaining $120 from the $1500 I enthusiastically deposited into my account in early December. Now I have decided to focus on my writing career. This was not what I planned o. When I took that loan, I thought I would pay everything in a month and still have enough money to splash around during Christmas. Chai. I had big expectations. But I lost everything in less than a month. What a bad luck. Crypto is not the only thing that can make somebody rich jare. It looks easy but is very hard. If not greed, why will somebody put in a particular amount and be expecting 100% profit in a few minutes or hours. This greed particularly took over me and impatience made it worse. Sometimes I would make profit but I wanted the profit to increase and then I would watch it go down again until I am losing and will then go and cancel the trade to prevent further loss. I was such a phool. I watched hundreds of dollars getting swallowed continously. And I was trading very aggressive-moving assets like 1000Bonk, 1000Lunc and Matic which even made the loss faster with their rapid movements. I started to feel the market was particularly against me. I felt somebody was looking at me and just directing the nets to catch me. I started looking at everything with suspicion. I was angry with everybody. I was angry with myself, my family, I was even angry with God for what I did to myself o. I just ask God for forgiveness. It affected my relationship and career so much. I almost resigned o because I thought I would be rich soon. That would have keeled me. I wish we could rewind time so I can undo this financial hole I just put myself. I still bear a grudge for this crypto market and I believe one day I will come back to take back all my money it has swallowed. Or not |
