Good day all. Based on the above complaint i laid earlier and the advice people gave me to involve the police for the phone tracking. I went to police station today and after laying my complaint and seeking for a possible solution, the police personel said it will cost me 25k and maybe 3-5k for fuel to use and track the guy with my phone. I asked if 15k won't be enough, they said 15k can't get me the phone. And currently the only money i have with me is 15k.

I'm just tired of everything. Please does anyone have any idea of police station where i can get it done with at most 15k.

Thinking of giving the guy's number to people to track him down until i meet him face to face. (Probably with police. Because that's another suggestion the police Personel told me...saying doing so will reduce my expenses).

Please i just want my phone back. My files are very important to me. If only i can get my files, i don't mind living the phone with the person.

Guys please advise me on what to do. It's a matter of urgency. Two weeks ago i misplaced my redmi 8 to those one chance danfo bus drivers/conductors that i boarded to work and i was so pained due to my files in the phone. I had no option than to get another phone (redmi 9) the following week. Though I've not been feeling my new phone like i used to do with the old one. After getting my new phone, first thing to do was to use the redmi 9 to search for my old missing phone (redmi which i didn't see. But i still went ahead to lock it and i left some notes for whoever is with the phone including my new number to call Fast forward to today, an hausa boy called me saying that he bought my redmi 8 from someone at Alaba market for a sum of 35k and ever since then, he has not been able to use the phone as the only thing that comes up on the screen is the message i used to lock the phone. He said even flashing doesn't work. He said he want to return it to the person he bought it from despite the fact that he can't still recognize the seller face. I asked of the seller shop, he said the seller doesn't have a shop. That he bought it from those guys standing.

I've promised to give him 15k for the phone, He's insisting 25k. And I'm not financially bouyant at the moment. Please what can i do to get my phone back. My files are over important to me. Please advise me.

P.S: I've searched for the phone and it's showing me some distance away from where it was stolen (Abule Egba). And the boy told me that the phone is with him in Sabo...Abeokuta (While the phone was stolen in lagos and he bought it in lagos also). I don't know the one to follow if it's the location I'm seeing on my redmi 9 screen or where the buyer says he is. Please suggest a better way to go about it for me. I need it very bad.

I got the Xiaomi redmi 8 some weeks ago, and i must say that it's amazing, 4/64GB.
The speed is something else, download is very fast even with 3g network, i don't bother about charging always because of its strong battery, the infrared for remote is dope and it covers quite a distance, has compass, good processor, it doesn't hang, doesn't get hot even after heavy usage.
Xiaomi have good products generally, it's good

I bought mine last year November and ever since then, i have not gotten any issue with the phone. The battery keeps me going whenever i traveled to site for my work. It can serve me for days (on minimal usage).


I'm even planning of selling it so i can get Redmi note 9, even though the phone is as neat as new (I'm using screen guard and the porch right from the day of purchase).

Seriously, the phone is superb. Kudos to Xiaomi.

Only President Muhammadu Buhari can sack Service Chiefs, the Presidency declared on Tuesday.

It was reacting to resolution of the Senate earlier in the day, asking the Service Chiefs to resign or get sacked for rising insecurity in the nation, especially the recent killing of soldiers and mass resignation in the military.

The resolutions of the Senate followed consideration of a motion titled: “Rising casualties among Nigerian soldiers and other security agencies” by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Army, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (Borno South).

But the Presidency, in a terse statement titled “Service Chiefs: Position of Presidency on resolution by the Senate” said Buhari reserves the right to appoint or sack Service Chiefs.

The statement, on the verified twitter handle of the Presidency @NGRPresident, reads: “The Senate on Tuesday adopted a resolution calling on the Service Chiefs to resign or be sacked due to the multi-pronged security challenges in the country.

“The Presidency notes the resolution, and reiterates that appointment or sack of Service Chiefs is a Presidential prerogative, & President Muhammadu Buhari, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will do what is in the best interest of the country at all times.”
