PoliticsRe: It Will Take 8 Years To Realise Gains Of Tinubu Administration - Omololu (video) by surgical: 3:04pm On May 30, 2025
SmartPolician:
Meaning we should give him 12 years, right? undecided undecided
looking for a way to make him take the maximum 8 years
That will be significant loss to Nigerians
8 years in a man's life is too much to waste or gamble with, nothing in his actions so far is suggestive that he knows what he is doing or his actions can yield any benefit, just like what bwala said give him 30 years he will still not achieve anything, even world bank predicted 15 years
The Afenifere man is doing the job he has been paid to do, he is not an expert
PoliticsRe: Only 19% Of Nigerians Pay Taxes, Says FIRS Boss by surgical: 2:00pm On May 30, 2025
descarado:
In uk you pay income tax, council tax and health tax.

I pay income tax, local govt tax, street naming tax( I was told the money has increased last 2 weeks),
Landlords association levy, Nepa levy, vigilante levy and contribute money for road where I live.

Add all together, I pay more in nigeriathan in uk.

As of now as I don't live in Nigeria anymore, the only one I don't oay is income tax, the rest, I still pay by virtue of having a house and a name somewhere there.

My people have shops all over nigeria. Do you know what they pay monthly?
Some run in hundreds as of 10yrs ago.

Ordinary market woman selling tomato can't calculate her monthly income, local govt do the calculation for her by giving her a quote every month. Is that not income tax?

What about shop tax of every day, sanitation tax nko?
Because we don't have statistics, people like you assume only civil servants pay tax. Market people pay tax more than civil servants in Nigeria. Ask local govt chairmen. A
They always gaslight the people demanding international standards but they in turn refuse accountability, they don't give the people what their counterparts in other countries enjoy from paying taxes
A typical example of how irresponsible Nigeria government is, is the removal of subsidy on everything including that that makes life worth living from the masses and channelling the accruing revenue to pamper the elite

I wrote it here before, that greatest beneficiary of the state of emergency in Rivers is Governor Fubara himself. His impeachment was as sure as the sunrise every morning.

He's a lucky man and im glad he has acknowledged it.

The judiciary was used to set the ball rolling,

Those u mentioned held on to power for minimum of 8yrs without meaningful impact to their country..

The Tinubu u mentioned is just 2 yrs with remarkable achievements... Our students were never stuck because their 4 yrs will be 4 yrs...lecturers are well paid and no going on irresponsible and unnecessary strike ... Student loan for students never done in the country before . And many approval for more tertiary institutions to bring affordable quality tertiary institution to the doorstep of every Nigeria...

The price of petrol you talking about is as a result of full deregulation in the sector where marketers compete for sales and they determine prices as against federal gov dictating price also removal of subsidy which every presidential aspirants vow to remove ...

Tinubu is the best thing God ever gifted Nigeria ...lets support and appreciate him.

That was how he survived for that long in lagos, but unfortunately for him ,this is federal, it comprises of various and diverse ethnic groups with different interests unlike lagos that was mainly yoruba, he will have alot to contend with, it is even worse because of his non performance

He thinks it is only the elites that matters, time will tell
He is doing everything to satisfy the elite, while doing everything to take away the little benefits the people enjoy for being a Nigerian

Remember, Jonathan was a man of integrity, man who saw his political ambition not not worth the bloodshed of Citizens of Nigeria. That was the only reason why he lost election.
The question is, will the current president thread the same path? His presidential ambition not worth the killing of any citizen?
In fact he his the opposite of that but we will test his will against that of nearly 200 million people and see who will prevail
For him to still be president at this time is a huge consention ,he will be over staying his welcome if he attempts anything beyond 2027,the country belongs to all of us ,he has no right to impose poverty and insecurity on us,he can go do that to his family and loyalist, we gave him chance and he has misused it

The most useless president in the history of Africa. Buhari was the worst president in the history of Africa but was 100 billion times better than what we have now.
That is by design even buhari himself said it that we will miss him,the more reason we must do everything I'm our power not to let Tinubu get a second term,if does he will make sure he put in somebody worse than himself so can have some bragging rights latter despite his disastrous outing as a president
Imagine a president worst than Tinubu, God forbid
EducationRe: Tinubu Makes 36 Appointments Into Governing Boards Of Tertiary Institutions by surgical: 10:59am On May 29, 2025
cjudy:
Every week there must be appointment like who are those appointed and yet the unemployment rate in the called Nigeria keep increasing.
He is only concerned about the elites who can challenge him or spoil things for him,,the masses are already conquered He doesn't need to do anything for them, they are ok with him being a member of their tribe or religion, or being canvassed by one of the appointees, the masses don't need much that is why he can take subsidy away from them and channel it to satisfy the elite because the elite care about themselves while it is the masses that cares about their rulers
I don't get it how can a government increase school fees astronomically and turned around to offer few people loans to access the same education that previous government made available to as many as possible and still call that an achievement through propaganda and the masses are buying that, meanwhile the same government is subsidising the flamboyant lifestyle of the elite even to their designers pants

EducationRe: Technical College Students To Get N45,000 Monthly — FG by surgical: 4:00pm On May 28, 2025
seborrhic:
That is,real clowning.
You are converting polytechnics and technical colleges to universities left, right and centre on the one hand, yet on the other hand saying you are paying 45k stipends to technical college students.
Asides being ironic,it also doesn't make any sense.
Next, you pay doctors and nurses during training to incentisize them to stay?
Engineers, okay, more students enroll in engineering and get 60k per month.
Oh,what of agricultural students,go into agricultural studies with 50k every month so that there would be more farmers.Education, ditto and the list goes on and on!
He is even lying he not going to pay anything, that's how he promised workers 35k palliatives to cushion his disastrous economic policy before his miserly minimum wage, he also promised pensioners 25k,over a year now he is yet to fulfill it,even the minimum wage not fully implemented for both workers and pensioners
Is it the same person that will pay students, Tinubu government is like yahoo government, scamming everybody
But has good support systems that does not make it obvious like, useless NLC,weak opposition, and a good media buy which helps with propaganda or suppression of information or news

Hmm. $24 billion? That's huge.

I thought they said subsidy removal will create savings and revenue for the govt.

Why do you prioritize high capital consuming projects when you know you don't have monies for even basic expenditures?

I heavily pity what our leaders are offering the unborn Nigerian children.

This is terrible.
so Nigerians are just made to suffer for nothing, there is no any light at the end of any tunnel, this Tinubu is just a disaster

Nothing heroine about the past leaders or people. If our forefathers are that good, we will never be in this situation we are today. They're in best position to lay down a good foundation for us like reknown scholars in Europe, America and Asia, but failed. The few ones left are wicked than the youths. It disgust me anytime elderly person open their mouths to talk about their days.

If you want to know why our society became so useless today, go and deal with the so called elders and see first hands corruption and wickedness in them. Infact, this generation are far more emphatic, tolerance, and have foresight than the so called elders. sad
