This was who the Roman empire used: Josephus a Jewish priest/Jewish historian, he was the leader of the Jewish rebellion in Galilee against Roman occupation around 66 AD and to save his life had to switch sides to the Roman empire and he was given accommodation in the King's palace in Rome and used him as a tool to help them to invent a gentle messiah called Jesus Christ so that the Jewish zealots can stop waging war against them as there were no Jewish Christians and the Jews were only militaristic and expecting a Messiah like Moses or David to come and help them to defeat the Romans from the land of Israel.

Josephus was born around 37 AD and never saw your invented Jesus Christ, he did not say much about him and this was written long after the invented Jesus' ascension.

You now need to ask yourself how Christianity became the official religion in Rome.
