lekkie073: Na so the people of China berated Mao Zedong and his economic policies in the late 1970s. Today, Mao is regarded as the modern day father of industrialised China. Lies. You know nothing about the Chinese revolution. Don't you ever compare chairman Mao with Tinubu. They are not on the same page of nationalistic rebirth. Chairman Mao was the peoples general, and a great patriot. Same can't be said of BAT. |

Smartguyboy: WW11 history the west will always glorify their victory and forget those who paid the ultimate price for that victory. The Red Army won the WW11 but you will hardly see it in any WW11 book, even after joining the war very late. Red army was almost in Berlin . @ the bolded sentence. Most of you guys just come online to expose your ignorance for all to see. Maybe you are unaware that without the USA the world would have collapsed under Nazi Germany. Do you know that the United States supplied the Soviet Union with substantial quantities of weapons and other essential military supplies, vehicles, and materials through the Lend-Lease Act during World War II.This aid was critical to the Soviet war effort, including tanks, aircraft, vehicles, explosives, and vital industrial materials like aluminum and high-octane fuel. These aided the Soviet union in her march to victory. Are you also aware that the USA spearheaded the D-Day battle led by Gen Eisenhower the (SCAP) that led to the death of hunderds of thousands of young Americans, aged between 18yrs-20yrs, who died even without stepping their feet on Europe on the Normandy beaches? Do you know that in Asia American forces liberated most of south east Asia from imperial Japan, and that they lost thousands of soldiers trying to take the island of Iwo jima, an island so small yet crucial to it's victory over Japan? I don't know we're you guys get this unfounded and undocumented narratives about the west claiming victory for ww2 when in actual fact the USA made the single largest contribution to the defeat of the the Third Reich. My friend pick up books to read, and learn about world history. Don't rely on hate or false narratives been peddled by those who out of sheer ignorance or religious bigotry downgrade the role of some western nations; when the story of the second world war is being told. Thank you. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae: Stop capping. America only joined the war against Imperial Japan in 1941. China has been fighting Imperial Japan since 1931. Even after US nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Japanese didn't surrender until the Soviet invaded Manchuria.
There's a high chance that if Japan didn't attack Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941, America could have continued conducting trade with both Nazi Germany & Imperial Japan including selling oil and military equipments. I don't know your background on world history or books you have read about WW11, so I won't waste my time saying much because you just sent some screenshots from twitters to drive your point, which to me proves that there's no need to open a discourse on this topic with you. Thank you. |

Maxymilliano: Alongside a vast military parade marking 80 years since the country's victory over Japan in World War Two, the meeting formed part of a day of statements for Chinese President Xi Jinping. This is absolutely wrong. China was defeated and colonized by the japs during the WW11. The celebration was just a remembrance for her resistance to the Japanese occupation during the war which after it ended (with the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the Americans) led Mao Zedong to declare the PRC, unlike the Russians who celebrate their Vday celebration to commemorate the victory over the Nazis. (the fought from Moscow to Berlin) to earn their celebration. The Chinese celebration is more of a memorial, than an actual victory because without the Americans, China was humiliated by Japan throughout the war. |

When you recruit political thugs as security operatives this is usually the outcome. I can bet with my life that those guys did not undergo any form of psychiatric evaluation. Shame on Soludo. The video showing a government official saying that the girls family is not interested in prosecuting the operatives is primarily borne out of fear for those gangsters and their ilks still in service, and not necessarily because the corpers are peace makers. They must be sent to that secluded compound where they actually belong. |

Why didn't he control the mob that killed some corpers in the north in 2011, and while he was advised by the Al-jazeera news anchor woman on a live broadcast to call his supporters to order, simply responded that "the rioters are free to express their dissatisfaction with the outcome of the election if they feel shortchanged, and hence he can't stop them" This is someone you claim can control his supporters? |

Politics › Re: Wike’s Political Gamble: How The State Of Emergency In Rivers Could Backfire by SWATMan: 5:15pm On Mar 27, 2025 |
SimFubaraNews: As Nigerians weigh the implications of the recently declared state of emergency in Rivers State, many political analysts will agree that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, has made one of the most politically costly decisions of his career by refusing to give peace a chance.
Beyond the devastating effects on Rivers State, where the people will bear the brunt of the political crisis, Wike has also made himself more politically vulnerable than ever.
While he may believe that his current alignment with President Bola Tinubu secures his position, the political landscape is constantly shifting. Tinubu, after completing his constitutionally permitted eight years, will exit the stage. Meanwhile, Wike is likely to nurture another presidential ambition, just as key figures like the Senate President and other federal power players are poised to do. His role in the ongoing Rivers’ political crisis could come back to haunt him when the time for political reckoning arrives.
Moreover, Wike’s refusal to embrace peace has not only led to the appointment of a sole administrator but has also exposed sensitive dealings of the Rivers State Government, both past and present, to outsiders who should never have had access to such classified information. In a nation where politics is a game of leverage, this exposure could be weaponized against him in the future.
For a politician with grand ambitions, Nyesom Wike may have unknowingly laid the groundwork for his own downfall. The same political actors benefiting from the current state of affairs, where their loyalists have been strategically deployed under the guise of a state of emergency, could one day turn against him.
If that day comes, Wike might find himself in a perilous situation, much like Haman in Esther 7:10—ensnared by his own machinations.
In politics, power is fleeting. The question now is: has Wike, in his bid for dominance, just written the first chapter of his own undoing?
John Martins writes from the peaceful garden city of Port Harcourt. Exactly what I told some friends a couple of days back BAT has taken over the entire political structure of river state through executive fiat. BAT now has the opportunity to dig into Wike's past financial malfeasance to his own advantage. This could be used to blackmail him and shut him indefinitely and eventually nail his political ambition. All said, he will be the ultimate loser in the end of this political grandstanding. |

Romance › Re: Why Are Men Not Patient In Marriage Anymore? by SWATMan: 5:06am On Mar 23, 2025 |
Gentleman009: In the past, it used to be that men go to war for women, take care of women, provide for them, roof them, feed them and the women only exist without ever having to worry about anything at all.
Today, men do all of these except going to war because there are no war anymore. However, today men are less patient.
Yesterday, I was in transit on the Lagos to Ibadan train and I sat with a young man. He had MBA in the UK and he’s currently working in the finance sector in Lagos. Our conversation drifted to women. And he told me he’s divorced and he only had a son. I probed further. It happen that the woman cheated on him consistently without remorse. He had to do DNA for the boy child. I asked if that’s enough reason for him to leave his wife.
In the past, women cheat on our grandfathers..but the difference our fathers were patient and very understanding. They forgive, forgive and forget.
Today, men leave marriage because a woman cheat? What happens to asking her why she cheat and helping her navigate such phase? What happen to treating her better and watch if she stops cheating or not? What happens to meeting the other man and ask her to stop sleeping with ur wife? You didn’t avail urself these excuses and the best u can come up with is to leave?
Women can do better

There's no way you can come out of this mess unscathed. Now you will be blackmailed over the years you spent with them taking care of you, and you will be branded as an ingrate . In life, lay not your trust on anyone but God. You can't win this war, that's the way it is, things will never be the same again. One thing you did not realize on time is that your mom has a better relationship with your sister than you. She couldn't have given her that money if they weren't really close. You may have been a burden to them without you knowing. Mum's l know, would have questioned why her husband could not fund her desire to further her education even if she knew you kept your savings with her. If you insist on the money, you are done for unless you make a big break in life. Wish you the best. |
