I always tell my daughter I have to work. Why? to make money (I'm a web developer so work is on my laptop). One day she says, "..mummy when is the money going to start coming out of your laptop?"..lol |
Hi everyone, I am looking for talented Nigerian Wedding dress designers to feature on my site. Please if you make wedding dresses AND you have pictures of your creations. Please send an email to info@sugarweddings.com with your contact details, 2 - 3 of your best pics and some background information about you/your company. Thanks in advance. Cheers. |
So I've been thinking, is it possible to have a cheap 'classy' wedding in a major Nigerian state (Lagos, Abuja, etc)?? It seems like wedding budgets are getting larger and larger. I know a couple that spent upwards of 20,000,000 naira on their wedding last year, again upwards of 20,000,000 naira! That's life changing money for a lot of people! So here's our Sugar! Challenge to you, did you get married recently (in the last 1 – 2 years) and spend 1,000,000 naira or less on a very nice wedding? Please send us (info@sugarweddings.com, subject line of the email should read My 1,000,000 Naira Wedding) an essay on your wedding or post it on this thread, on how you managed your budget, and of course lovely pictures of the wedding and we'll post it on Sugar! (www.sugarweddings.com). Looking forward to your replies, ![]() [Original Post: http://www.sugarweddings.com/node/511] |
Hi, you can also check out Sugar! Weddings www.sugarweddings.com. Lots of real weddings have been featured on our site for inspiration, there's also a directory listing wedding related vendors and general tips and advice. Good luck to all the soon to be brides! |
Hi, You can find a good selection of vendors and planning ideas on our site www.sugarweddings.com, I have also found facebook to be a good resource in terms of lesser known vendors who do good work (most also tend to have their picture portfolios in their fb groups). Depending on how organized you are you should be able to plan your wedding without a planner, however, I recommend you have at least one person (cousin, best friend, sister, aunty, etc) that will coordinate activities 2 - 3 weeks to the wedding, so you don't become a bridezilla, lol. Good luck with your search, and keep us posted. @Morayosola, the following vendors do wedding websites www.iweddingsnigeria.com www.wedding.com.ng www.wed.com.ng Cheers. |
They both need to meet somewhere in the middle, just because he's wealthy doesn't mean he should break the bank, I don't see how a car, jewellery, etc shows his commitment to her, then again if he has dangote type money she should ask for a plane, lol. On the other hand, for him to ask and expect her to say N5000 is ridiculous, I found this concerning Islam and Dowries though http://www.questionsonislam.com/subpage.php?s=show_qna&id=405 |
