Some times people use words without actually knowing their meanings. There are a lot of loopholes in your writing, just trying hard to defend your drunken master.
1) you stated in your writing that the CDs assured wike that the issue will be resolved peacefully. That clearly tells you that the present military management is in the know of the matter, and not as you painting it that the guy is taking orders from a retired military officer.
2) you talked about insubordination. The officer is not and will never take orders from wike. So where did insubordination comes from? Mind you, minister is not president.
3) For wike to publicly engaged and insult an officer tells much about his lack of discipline. And if you must know, only military authority can punish any officer.
4) military officers are not to be worshipping civilian power drunk ministers, there are rules of engagement and your super minister should have known better.

Your analyses is wrong. First, there's nothing like former in the military heirachy. In the eyes of the ones still serving AVM Gambo is their boss. Same applies to other retired generals. They s get the full complement of their office even in retirement. Secondly, the officer is a fine officer. He did no wrong. Wike crossed the line this afternoon. No one is above the law should not come from a man who bribes judges and behaves anyhow without recourse to the law. If wike has a problem with the land why did he not pass through proper channels to retrieve the land. He messed up big time. His thuggish attitude failed him this time around. Kudos to the young officer.

The soldier guy was even matured and polite enough to call Wike sir. Even as Wike was talking like a spoilt drunk and irresponsible kid, yet the soldier whom Wike is old enough to be his father had more manners than Wike.

I'm not surprised by the soldier’s behavior. Nigerian soldiers are notorious for being disrespectful and intimidating. They’re often used by civilians to settle personal or civil disputes. I actually admire that Wike stood his ground against him. You’d never see an American soldier act like that, never. Everyone has their own role: Wike was doing his, while the soldier overstepped and did someone else’s. He should be on the battlefield tackling insecurity, not confronting a minister on orders from a retired officer. Is he a lawyer?

Your question should be was Wike's confrontation right? As a minister of the FCT you should have an orderly conduct. Openly confronting and insulting a Nigerian soldier is wrong. Wike disgraced the office of a Minister of the federal republic of Nigeria

The land in question is vested in the minister and no one else. That place is not a military barrack. It is a land that is governed by civil authority. Immediately the FCT minister ordered him out of the place, he has no reason not to comply. Preventing the FCT minister from accessing the land is the height of irresponsibility. It should never happen again.
