Why do you guys use agent when you have all your documents? am just asking because I don't see a need, Most agents in Nigeria are after money and don't even have as much information as the applicants also the below claims looks somehow, agent will even lie and answer yes to those questions just to increase chances of applicant getting approved why will the agent answer NO? Are you sure your friend is telling you the whole truth?"

I will like to seek an advice on behalf of my friend who applied for Canada visit visa through a quack agent.

The agent did a very bad job and I'm wondering if these errors which are obviously misrepresentations can be rectified in anyway, we found out all the errors through GCMS notes after the agent stopped picking his calls and we don't know the status of the application.

I'll summarise the errors below:

1. Marital status: Agent claimed he is single meanwhile my friend is married with 2 children.

2. Travel history: he lived in another country for 3 years with legal resident permit but agent claimed he never travelled before.

3. Education history: he claimed my friend never went to school, meanwhile he has a bachelor's degree.

4. Work history: agent wrote self employed with a non existent business name.

I can't even talk about the proof of funds and other mistakes we found in the application documents. We were able to access the documents submitted with the application, that's how we found all these errors.

We also found out the visa application was already denied through the note, with VO citing inconsistencies in application information and lack of economic ties to home country.


Kindly advice what can be done in this situation so that he doesn't get banned in his next application, he is planning to reapply again.

This is a lesson to everyone in the process, Please be careful of agents that you employ in your visa applications, verify all details submitted on your behalf and be sure the information can be backed up with evidence anytime there is a request for such.

I was finally able to create a tracker account and log in to track my application. For anyone having this issue, the problem was that I kept entering first and middle name instead of only first name. Not sure why it was like that because my application has my full names.

Meanwhile, my application is showing "in progress" for visa status but on 'summary of documents status' it's showing '"Visitor Visa Expiry date as Sep 01, 2023". What could this mean please? I recieved BVL since April 26 2023. Thanks

It’s like they are giving PPR to pple that got their BVL end of April, that means we the May BVL pple will soon start getting our own PPR.

If you got yours in May pls give us the date let’s know ourselves.

Mine came on the 6th of May.

I eventually sent an email to the link given in the refusal letter and they responded just an hour latter.
And they expressly mentioned that they applied charge back on the application as you have mentioned.

The application was done for them by an agent. How should an agent that was paid for his job apply a CHARGEBACK ?

PLEASE CAN THIS CHARGEBACK BE THE MAIN REASON THE VISA APPLICATION WAS DENIED ?

When did your eligibility start and do you know anyone in Canada? Do you also have US visa? Congrats. I submitted January 26th 2023,biometric Feb 1st 2023 and my eligibility hasn't started. Last updated April 19th on the tracker.

Hi Angiee thank you for checking on me , I was refused the visa on the grounds that I didn't declare my past refusals , it was clearly an oversight , one. Which I had raised a webform , I'm reapplying immediately @hola55 sorry to learn about yours too , I pray this reapplication will favour us this time 🙏

I sent them a web form but never got any response from them, but it showed as received in the application status tracker. Click on the activity, then scroll down.

The application status tracker will display the timeline of all the correspondence between you and Canada Immigration.

Good day guys,

Pls I need advice on what to do.

I and my husband applied last year July. Today we were sent a decision. Mine is still pending but his was refused on the grounds that he did not declare that he had been refused US Visa prior. The day I filled the forms/made the application, I sent a mail immediately that same day stating the error. I have attached a screenshot of what I sent and the emails I sent to. I never received a response but assumed it was received.

Now today he has been denied based on that very same reason. Is there anyone I can write or anything I can do cos this is really heartbreaking. Pls I will appreciate a workable response thanks.
Did you send a webform or just a mail? did you state the details of your application that is your application number and applicant details ?
Also I had a baby earlier this year is there anyway he can be added to my application or I will need to apply fresh for him.

Please o I was just refused on the ground that I didn't say truthfully on the history of my previous visa refusal to Canada or any other country.
I sent webform with some explanations. Just this morning, I received a mail that my application status has been updated and that there has been changes in my application status. I logged in but did not see any changes. Please what does that mean?
