Gold digging occurs in every country including western nations. However, it seems like Nigerians have taking it to the EXTREME. For the sake of the post i would focus on Nigeria and my observation.

From my observation from Nollywood movies (? yes...i watch them lol), nairaland and the few Nigerians I know who live there, gold digging is an epidemic in Nigeria, particularly among women (young women to be precise). I notice that on all the threads that i have read to do with relationship on NL gold digging is mentioned. Some men vent their anger and despise of the act and some even go as far as insulting women because they have been hurt and taking advantage of. I must point out that MEN are to be blamed for the increasing rate of female gold diggers in Nigeria. So men, before you insult your ex girlfriend, fiancée, wife or the lady you currently have your eyes set upon but cannot afford, turn to your male friend and blame him for the situation. There are a few reasons why I say its men’s fault. Please read carefully.

1. Men give it free . Why would a girl bother when she can get it free Don’t get me wrong, give her gifts because you want to NOT because she asks. If doesn’t have the money, encourage her to get a job, pay half or make a deal with her of some sort (work out a way for her to pay you back with money NOT sex. You should only pay p.rostitutes for s.ex (unless she is one). Buying her whatever she wants doesn’t help her develop.

2. The meaning of love can be redefined based on experience and familiarity. If the last 3 men your girlfriend had dated or the last 20 men that have chased her have given her material things to show their love for her... she begins to identify materialism and gifts as love, which is why she may expect the same from you if you love her.

3. Men pay to keep. As long a man continues to buy a woman what she want and give her money to keep her, she will continue to expect it and more. She is threatening you, let her go or get her help.

4. Men like to show off. According to Foxnews, “Men would buy a Porsche because they believe it makes them more attractive to women “. Men who use their money to attract women are telling women that they have plenty more where that come from and would be happy to spend it on them. This can be compared to a lady who dresses like a w.hore and flaunts herself to man. She is saying “im available for s.ex”. She’s advertising her body, his advertising his money.

Men, please stop blaming the women and start blaming men for female gold diggers. If they are no males giving ther would be no females expecting. Remember: it all started with one man, and the girl did what most girls would do and spread the word. . If it started with a man giving it can end with a man not giving.

shymexx: Not surprised at all - Nigerians are notorious for being obnoxious, mouthy, loud, ignorant, and arrogant... Yet they have nothing to show for it...If you have never seen what Nigeria looks like and you judge Nigeria based on Nigerians in diaspora, you would think the country was paradise on earth lol... However, we all know that's far from the truth...

Just make sure you contribute your quota to Nigeria and the continent - I have also got plans for mama Africa...

I'm glad im not the only person who thinks this of Nigerians and their country. The whole world is sick and tired of their arrogance with zero to show for it. In fact my dad who is full Nigerian is the one who is the most negative and anti helping Nigerian i know.
By the way we need to get ready to be slapped on NL for our perception of Nigerians. LOL... shame on them! Let them continue with their arrogance while all the countries they are insulting and looking down on are getting far ahead of them.

Have you got plans for Africa??

Yes I do. But I can only contribute. I would love to know that in the years to come my children can decide to live happily in Nigeria or anywhere else in Africa peacefully with the all benefits o/s have to offer and more cause there are home. Back when I was in uni the international students from Zimbabwe and Ghana have an associate in Australia where they get together and work out different ways they can go back home and contribute to the development of their nation. But when you approach Nigerians with this idea you get slammed in a very brutal and harsh way. They many countries like Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Botswana who are getting together and working together to develop their nation especially those who have studied o/s and return back home. Im very proud of them.

Jesus wasn't religious. He just had a relationship with the Father and lived life pleasing to God. In fact he didn't relate well with the so call religious leaders . So dont blame man made religion on God. Religion was not created by God. I was created by man.

Lol I love ppl like u . Yes my pastor have preached on a lot of them and ive read them myself numerous times. Deut 23:1 in the OT doesn't phase me, because there harsher verses than that in the OT. And they are reasons behind them. Thank God for Jesus eh...
BTW my faith in Jesus Christ is based on my personal encounter with Christ. His testimony in my life .

lol... u are hilarious. I don't know what what evidence u have to base that statement upon, because my Pastor has preached about a lot of those topics. Furthermore, its not up to the pastor to tell u everything about God or to teach u the whole bible lol. Ppl need to read the bible themselves.

Since you want me to spell it out for ya, i will do so , what i was trying to say is that 'your topic is neither intelligent or rational'.
Reasons being...
1. In a debate it is important that both parties are able to defend their stance. Its a DEBATE (To engage in argument by discussing opposing points). If both parties are just pointing out their views... then what's the point? They might as well just take turns to talk about their views ignore what the other person say's and that's the end. Being defensive in a debate is NORMAL. Whether political, educational, religious...etc. I'm sure you watch political debates. Debates are debates.

2. I have watched many debates and you can not based a few christians on ALL christians. The debates that i have watched the atheists come across extremely aggressive. So what? Who cares? its a debate! You argue to win... I fact i have noticed that during debates opposition always sounds more defensive to us.

3. You also said that christians tend to be aggressive during debates. What is ur definition of aggressive? You changed the name of this topic from 'religion Vs. Atheism' to 'Christianity Vs. Atheism' because you did not want to be attacked by ppl of other faith (you said it urself in ya other post that u delibrately left them out). Given that you were afraid of the ppl of the other faith's aggression that it drove you to change the very name of your topic and refused to include them in your discussion... Don't you think that ur statement that christians are 'aggressive' is an exaggeration? Cause think about it op ... if xtians were as you are defining them would you really have this topic up? I personally don't think you would because you were not game enough to include ppl of another faith in this topic and went to the extent of rewording ur topic just to avoid an aggressive debate with them. Hmmmm... shall i redefine aggression now?

4. Overall unless i am misunderstanding ur topic i think your statement that christians tend to be defensive and aggressive during debates is unjust. You know what aggression is. And what you described is far from aggression. Also Please do urself a favor go and learn more about debates and see how it works.
