They're now trying to use the non passage of the budget as a cover up to mask their inefficiencies. If the budget seems to be a problem, they should tell GEJ, a supplementary budget will be passed now and Buhari will pass a standard budget when he takes over. Nigerians don't have time, we can't wait till october for you start being serious. |

Her presidency ends. It is Nigeria's loss anyways. She would have convened a meeting where they'll deliberate on appropriate actions to take to ensure that prices rally up to meet profitability. We have to live with brunt of depending on oil for the next few years. |

Politics › APC Accuses PDP Of Plot To Rig Election In Bayelsa by Sweetguy25(op): 8:56pm On Apr 13, 2015 |
The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, weekend accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of conspiring to rig the postponed election in eight constituencies of the state.
According to the APC, though the excuse by the INEC that the election materials for the postponed eight constituencies were incomplete and the decision for the postponement was reached after deliberations among stakeholders, its investigation showed that the postponement was done in opposition party stronghold including the constituency of the state governor,Hon.Seriake Dickson in Sagbama 1.
The APC leaders led by Chief Godwin Sidi, however warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other institutions connected to the postponed State House of Assembly elections against compromising their statutory responsibilities under any circumstance in order to provide a level playing field for all parties to the elections.
Sidi, former publicity secretary of the defunct New PDP, said the reasons advanced by INEC in the state for postponing the polls in the eight constituencies were not tenable, insisting that INEC should explain the whereabouts of election materials which necessitated the shift.
He therefore called on INEC and other institutions connected to the rescheduled poll to strictly adhere to their constitutional roles and shun partisanship, in the spirit of fairness and in line with global best practices.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had last Friday rescheduled election in eight constituencies in the state namely Ekeremor constituencies 1, 2 and 3, Kolokuma/Opokuma constituencies 1 and 2, Sagbama constituencies 1 and 2, and Southern Ijaw constituency 1 to April 18.
The state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Baritor Kpagih had explained that the shift in the affected eight constituencies in four local government areas of the state was in agreement with the stand taken by stakeholders that no election should take place in the constituencies without full compliment of the election materials.
But Sidi said, “There is a kind of alliance between INEC and the PDP. We want to know why the materials provided by INEC headquarters were not available for the state. We felt it could be a strategy to manipulate the polls.”
He said the party remained focused, saying that the APC would not succumb to intimidation by any party trying to use the security agencies to silence the party and called on the party faithful to be law abiding. According to him, the APC would resist any attempt to intimidate and arrest its members.
Sidi, who boasted that the APC would dislodge the PDP in the November governorship election in the state said, “All we demand is that national institutions that have any role to play in the forthcoming elections must carry out their duties fairly and professionally.” http://leadership.ng/news/425415/apc-accuses-pdp-of-plot-to-rig-election-in-bayelsa |

1. Government cannot sustain the petroleum subsidy if the pump price is 65 naira. 2. Buhari can also not revoke the PHCN privatisation. Political risk for projects in Nigeria will triple and these power sector projects are backed by government and world bank guarantees. 3. ICPC and EFCC merging wont solve any problem 4. Declaration of asset doesn't stop corruption 5. A WAI policy cannot work in a modern day Nigeria. |

1N9a: Buhari was at the villa in connection to setting up a transition committee for handing over. At the meeting, Goodluck asked for the list of representatives of APC & the required remuneration. Buhari was surprised that Goodluck's list & corresponding cost was put at #3billion for a job estimated to last only 2months. Goodluck then asked why Buhari's list didn't show corresponding cost? Buhari answered that his team was made up of volunteers and their feeding would be by individuals/self even if they have to bring in leftover food from their homes. This is the beginning of purposeful leadership.... The type of lies you guys manufacture is out of this world. God Damn! |
