thinkdip:Sort of. . . Biscuit is a proper nomenclature that describes the nature of the bone. Brisket Bone on the other hand is utterly wrong. By the way, Soft Bone is a disease. |
It is not biscuit or brisket. Find out the real name of the bone https://www.nairaland.com/3916639/it-neither-biscuit-bone-nor |

There has been a little controversy of recent over a type of bone that is commonly used in some Nigerians meals - especially moi moi and agidi. A Nigerian on Twitter claimed that this bone is actually called a "brisket bone" instead of "biscuit bone" which Nigerians have called it for ages. I initially believed him not until there was an attempt to refute this claim by a Nairalander who insisted that the name of the bone is actually "Biscuit" and not Brisket. Out of confusion and utter perplexity, i decided to put my superior research skills to test. What I found was shocking! The real name of the bone is neither biscuit nor brisket. The bone is called a Spongy Bone. According to the Britannica . . .Cancellous bone, also called trabecular bone or spongy bone, light, porous bone enclosing numerous large spaces that give a honeycombed or spongy appearance. The bone matrix, or framework, is organized into a three-dimensional latticework of bony processes, called trabeculae, arranged along lines of stress. The spaces between are often filled with marrow and blood vessels.https://www.britannica.com/science/cancellous-bone https://media1.britannica.com/eb-media/27/72127-004-22152DF9.jpg Another image of the bone

I hate when people say that Nigeria does not have an ethnic problem. The major reason why Nigeria died (Yes, Nigeria is dead) was because of ethnic issues. Ethnic prejudice and bias are a serious problem in many African countries. Hence, it is shallow and ignorant to brush aside our ethnic problems. The elites are the ones holding this country together for obvious reasons. To the common man on the street, this country called Nigeria is nothing but a farce. I have always thought about restructuring as a way out even long before the current purveyors of the term arrived. But I no longer support a restructured Nigeria because I don't know how that is going to work out. I doubt if this country will ever be restructured. |
I have wanted to create this thread for some time now but never had the chance to. It is important as Nigerians especially Nigerians who claim to be patriotic to know where your country stands among countries with regards to economic and socio-political development. These rankings and indexes are published by reputable organizations and used as a reference by governments and policy makers around the world. HDI – Nigeria’s Rank – 152/188. The Human Development Index, published by the United Nations Development Program is a ranking on human development of countries based on the average statistic of three key indicators, Life Expectancy, education, and per capita income. Nigeria ranks poorly in the HDI but performs better than most West African countries likely because of its economic size. Legatum Prosperity Index – Nigeria’s Rank – 135/149 The Legatum Prosperity Index is a ranking of the most prosperous countries globally. The definition of prosperity by the Institute is multi-dimensional. Various indicators (economy, security, health, education, government and institutional strength) were to gauge the prosperity of countries. According to the Index, Nigeria is the least prosperous country in West Africa, with a ranking of 135/149. Global Competitiveness Index – Nigeria Ranks 127/138 The Global Competitiveness Index, published by the World Economic Forum defines competitiveness as the set of institutions, policies, and factors that determine the level of productivity of an economy, which in turn sets the level of prosperity that the country can achieve. The GCI combines 114 indicators that capture concepts that matter for productivity and long-term prosperity. Nigeria ranks 127 out of 138 countries in the index. Ivory Coast is ranked as the most competitive country in West Africa, while SA is the most competitive in Africa. Global Peace Index – Nigeria ranks 149/163 The Global Peace Index measures the state of peace in countries around the world using three pillars - the level of Societal Safety and Security; the extent of Ongoing Domestic and International Conflict; and the degree of Militarisation. Nigeria has a ranking of 149 out of a 163 countries in the index, which makes it the worst in West Africa and Africa as a whole. Fragile States Index – 13th of 178 countries The Fragile States Index (FSI) is an annual ranking of 178 countries based on the different pressures they face that impact their levels of fragility. It aids in identifying when those pressures are pushing a state towards the brink of failure. Nigeria is currently the 13th most fragile state in the world and the second most fragile in West Africa after Guinea. Corruption Perception Index– 136/176 The Corruption Perceptions Index measures the perceived levels of public sector corruption worldwide. Nigeria has a ranking of 136 shared with 6 different countries. Doing Business Ranking – Nigeria ranks 169/190 Doing Business measures aspects of regulation that enable or prevent private sector businesses from starting, operating and expanding. With a ranking of 169/190, Nigeria, Liberia and Guinea-Bissau are the worst countries in West Africa for doing business. Ghana is the best country for doing business in West Africa, followed by Cape Verde, Mali and Ivory Coast. World Press Freedom Index – Nigeria ranks 122/180 The Index ranks 180 countries according to the level of freedom available to journalists. It is a snapshot of the media freedom situation based on an evaluation of pluralism, independence of the media, quality of legislative framework and safety of journalists in each country. Nigeria Ranks 122/180, the second worst in West Africa. Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index – 129/138 The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index measures “the set of factors and policies that enable the sustainable development of the travel and tourism sector, which in turn, contributes to the development and competitiveness of a country”. cc: Mynd44, lalasticlala |
What if they're South South Igbos like Chibuike Amaechi? Will you chase them away? |
Any igbo person that thinks Igboland and the south east will develop or will be developed (infrastructure-wise) in Nigeria, is a careless dreamer. |
Lies |
Crap |
wirinet:If it were the yorubas strongly agitating to secede, what will be your arguments against secession? |
What of the president that is trapped in london? |
Igbos and Yorubas have become too integrated to be separated. The number of Igbo/Yoruba marriages is actually getting higher than the number of Igbo/Igbo marriages. I wonder what will happen when Yoruba youths make an "arewa declaration". ![]() |
This iss wrong |
You're absolutely right. A biafria without Igbo nationalism is worth fighting for. |

This man is economically daft. He doesn't understand that the money he spends in government is nothing but fiat. He is not spending dollars or pounds but naira - a fiat currency. Nigerians are generally just daft and stupid. |
