This is the part I don't get. Chelsea TV reported at 1pm this afternoon that the Luiz deal is still on - £25m . . and the news about a rejected bid for Torres broke yesterday night - £35 (reported). Now the two deals were going on simultaneously, which means the club was willing to spend up to £60m in this transfer window. Add £18m for Ramires, £6m for Benayoun and we are talking about £84m the club could have committed to transfers.
