younggirl: Hello wonderful mothers! I'm new here! Pls I have a 5month old baby and I want to start a weight loss program,I want to know if it is advisable and how to go about it. I currently weigh 87kg and I want to loose abt 20kg.thanks in anticipation.

Hahahahahaha I know say ur children no let u sleep, sorry ehn.From tonight when its 9pm tell them its bed time,tuck them in their bed switch off d lights n TV when they notice everywhere is booorrring(like they say)they will gradually,not immediately fall asleep,make sure u do this everyday until they get used 2 it.....

omogemi: i took her to her pediatrician today for him to see d rash and it was comfirmed measles. i was told hers' is quite mild. she was given inj and drugs (pcm and i think Pedesolone- dont knw if i got it ryt) and told me to complete d amoxil i was given. but d inj part i asked d doc why she was given and he said its to help prevent pnemonia and eye and ear infections which measles can cause. a friend of myn said i shouldnt have let them give her. i wonder why afterall i m not a doctor. na make my baby dey kampe.

I also heard that they don't give injection but i believe ur daughter will be fine by d grace of God. Weldone u r a gud mother

My 2nd daughter had this measles around march this year,d rashes didn't come out so they felt it was malaria we gave her all d drugs but there was no improvement 2 d extent she almost started convulsing,thank God it started in d hospital.

When she was admitted in d hospital, we started noticing rash on her face, her mouth,lips n throat was also full of sore she couldnt eat or drink water that she lost so much weight n was placed on drip,nurses n patients told me about FRESH PALMWINE that was when i remembered that i also gave it 2 my first child when she had measles n it worked 4 her. I put d palmi in my mouth n sprayed it in her eyes and mouth and also gave her 2 drink,u need 2 see her d next day,d redness in her eyes was reduced,d sores in her mouth also reduced n she asked for tea,d rashes came out n it was all over her body,d temperature just dropped, i tell u d Dr was surprised n he said e now knows d importance of palmi.The elderly nurses made me understand that if d rashes doesn't come out it causes temperature 4 them but when 'all' d rashes not 'few' comes out then they r gud 2 go. Her rashes was so much that I started using CALAMINE LOTION n it really helped 2.

I cudn't leav her lastnyt.Her husbnd was dis close 2cryin 4me 2stay back cos he doesn't knw he was confused.We did agreement prayer;prayed psalm 91;27;35;23&alas,God sent help.D nyt duty midwife did wot sh called sweepin of d perineum (woteva dat means).I gues it was painful cos my frnd screamed eh! But it helped.Then d dr ordered them 2put somthng in d drip.B4 we knew it;c baby's head.Baby boy delivered by 11pm.Although he was weak,they put him on oxygen but now,he's off oxygen.I'v cooked d hot water pepper soup.

blank: Please look at the ingredients in the Bonjela or whatever other teething mixture you use, u will see that the ingredients are same with most other pain relievers. Its just a more expensive paracetamol. Sometimes, we include paracetamol and still give teething mixtures, is that not overdose?

Also, giving a baby paracetamol needlessly ie when the child is not running a fever for a continuous period is just damaging the baby's liver unnecessarily.

Well said dear, when my child was teething I gave paracetamol 4 every 6 hours even if d temperature goes up before d 6 hours i wait n just tepid sponge 4 d main time.

I went to d hospital one day 4 myself n i saw one woman that brought her son to d hospital cos he was running temperature n d Dr came n ask her if she as given d boy d paracetamol he said she should give him n d woman said d nurse told her 2 wait till when its 4hours after she gave him d last one of which d Dr said 3 hours after is ok,so d Dr got angry n went to go n confront d nurse n i told her to wait for 6hours after n that was exactly what she did cos i showed her where it was written.

Ppl when make paracetamol say it shouldn't be given more than 4 times a day but ppl just chose 2 abuse d drug by taking it every 3-4 hours.

My dr had to do that cos I ddnt go into labour and d hospital policy is dat after 41wks+ 3days, they induce if one doesn't go into labour. Induction no work. I ddnt feel a thing when I was induced. I had d CS at 42wks on d dot. I want to knw what u did to make ur tommy go down? Mine is still big and am a bit self conscious of it. Thanks.

I also looked pregnant 1-2 months after i gave birth cos i had very big stomach when i was pregnant that i, my family n friends felt i was gonna give birth 2 triplets.I went from 58kg-103kg(first pregnancy) n 62kg-98.something kg(second pregnancy) so i had so much fat on my body n especially stomach so its very hard 2 burn such fat immediately considering d fact that I just did an operation n we cant press d stomach with hot water like ppl that had normal delivery.

Pls if u just gave birth,try n relax n dont think about it 4 now so that it wont affect ur milk production cos of ur baby, be happy cos it will definitely come down n i beg u dont starve urself, u av 2 eat because u r breastfeeding.

They say breastfeeding helps d stomach go back 2 its normal shape but with research I av done d change is not that obvious but when u r strong enough do house chores n take a walk then avoid sugar u can use honey but not sweeteners cos it might not be gud 4 ur baby as he/she sucks ,then even if u want to take swallow let ur soup be much avoid meat instead take fish also avoid fried foods,minerals n beer.

When ur child as stop breastfeeding u can now reduce ur food intake but don't miss breakfast cos if u do u wud eat a lot in d afternoon then also eat fruits,take low fat milk(Dano slim) n sweeteners (sweetex)to replace milk that as lot of fat n sugar and if u av time u can go 2 d gym but i didn't go 2 d gym o.Gudluck dear!!!
