Ace TV and radio presenter OLUSOJI OMOTAYO aka baa royin apede ara, was brutally hacked by one of his sponsors in the early hours of Sunday 23, August 2015. He recounted the details of his horiffic ordeal while in the hospital; He said the so called sponsor accused him of sleeping with his wife and immediately produced a new cutlass and inflicted several injuries on his head, stomach, hands and legs. He also said during the struggle, his assailant used electric wire to weaken him. Police later arrived at the scene and he was rushed to the hospital, to my surprise, the assailant was released in the evening of that same day. My question is, how beautiful is his wife to warrant such evil Below is a pic of Late Soji Omotayo and his family

THE WONDERFUL TOMATO JUICE I am sure this will come as a shock but I am glad to tell bring to you how to apply the wonders of tomato juice to your hair Major source of vitamins and minerals, tomato has great anti oxidant properties plus growth enhancers. For a nourished scalp, follow these steps ; Condition your hair: The vitamins in tomato juice can also add the natural shine back to dull, lifeless hair. Apply a small amount of tomato juice to your scalp and hair after you wash it with shampoo. Leave it in for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing it out, as you might do with a conditioner. The tomato juice should increase the acidic pH of your hair, allowing it to regain some of its vibrancy.

MzCorleone:Kindly share your pics and hair journey story on this post. |
Hello, I just found this post and I have read people's response I have had a much terrible case, it was all over my body in large patches. Eczema can be a side effect of prolonged use of a topical treatment. It is also considered as disintegration. Let me share with you the things I used; I used WELLWOMAN SUPPLEMENTS for skin, hair, nails I take my bath with warm water and I add vitamin A&E soft gel to my bath water I then apply DAMATOL CREAM all over my body except my face(it contains sulphur which treats eczema) First I blend fresh tomatoes to make tomato juice, I then add 4tbs of pure honey and 1tbs of lime, I then spread and massage it on my face to create a mask I leave the mask on for 20mins or overnight sometimes and then wash off I use pure Olive oil to moisturize Note that TOMATO contains essential vitamins and has great antioxidant properties This mix worked for me in a week. |
FOR SKIN CARE add 3 drops of thyme oil to 3tbs of pure honey and 1tbs lemon juice Use the mixture as a mask for 15mins or overnight depending on the severity of the skin problem Rinse off with warm water and apply coconut oil as moisturizer |
THYME OIL Recent scientific study proves that essential oil extracted from thyme kills bacteria causing acne 5 times faster than acne creams and topical treatment. The research was conducted using an alcohol base to extract thyme oil from its leaves, but we all know that alcohol can cause dryness and itchiness on scalp and skin, So I built a personal recipe for extracting thyme oil since thyme leaves are not readily available in Nigeria. Dried thyme (for cooking) Extravirgin Coconut oil Sterilize a tinted jar by boiling for 10mins, then leave to air dry Pour coconut into tinted jar and add lots of thyme Shake very well and keep container in a cool dark place Leave to ferment for 2weeks, shaking it every day Sieve oil after fermentation, store in a cool, dark place Shelf life is 6months FOR HAIR CARE thyme is known for its antioxidant properties, can be used to treAt dandruff and can be added to a hair regimen as growth oil. Add 3 drops of thyme oil to 2tbs of Olive Oil and 1tbs of pure honey Part hair into sections and apply liberally Massage into hair and scalp Rinse out and style. @william20 this recipe has worked for everyone I have recommended it to 1. 5tbs of hair mayonnaise 2. 3tbs of Amla oil 3. 1egg YOLK 4. Fresh coconut milk 5. Vitamin A,E Mix ingredients together except coconut milk Part hair into 4 sections and apply mixture liberally, starting from roots to the tip Massage hair for 5mins Wear a shower cap and wrap with a towel Leave for 2 hours Rinse out with warm coconut milk. I usually use my special CITRONELLA PUDDING after washing then I do Bantu knot outs You can use d coconut cream instead too CITRONELLA PUDDING is #500 only, and can be delivered nationwide. P.S: avoid RAT TAIL COMB like a plague, it leads to breakage |
williams20:Ok lovely...... Emily millionaire coconut cream is a very good product I can recommend Original Shea butter Pure honey Make sure the Olive oil is extra virgin Vitamin A soft gel (this can b gotten from any pharmacy) Extra virgin coconut oil Amal oil (it's around #500) Hair mayonnaise Wide tooth comb Another thing is, hair in transition is bound to break but the rate at which it breaks differs There's honestly no cure for split ends, so she has to do a mini trim after every wash day These things will help condition her hair and seal in moisture. |
williams20:The first question is how long has she stopped the use of relaxers What type of shampoo and conditioner has she been using? Does she sleep with a silk scarf or bonnet on? Does she apply heat to her hair? Does she use products containing alcohol Does she use hair dye or tint? These are some questions you need to answer to be able to identify the problem causing the breakage before proffering a solution |
How to Extract Aloe Vera Aloe vera is a succulent plant that has many applications in medicine and in beauty. Aloe vera gel extract can be easily store-bought but more than likely these will have some form of preservative. If you want a more natural product, then you can extract aloe vera by getting your own aloe vera plant and gently slicing it open to release its gel. 1. Scrape Gel off open aloe plant and mix with 2tbs of freshly juiced lemon, 2tbs of Olive oil, 1tbs pure honey, 3tbs pure Shea butter, 1egg. 2. Beat mixture until lumps have disappeared and you have a thick creamy mix. If mix isn't thick enough add more Shea butter for thickening 3. Part hair into four sections and gently work mixture into hair in bits from roots to tip 4. Massage mix into hair and scalp thoroughly for 5mins, wear a shower cap and wrap hair in a hot towel for one hour. 5. Add 2-3 drops of vitamin A into freshly made warm hibiscus tea. 6. Rinse out hair with hibiscus tea for maximum shine, stronger roots, softer hair with enhanced growth. Enjoy the wonder of my special Aloe conditioning recipe. It is also said to remove chemical debris from other hair products and can mask the hair protecting it from heat. This leaf is readily available and super affordable. Please note this isn't one of those rice and beans hair posts, you can read more about it on google. For purchase of natural hair products, oil mixes, satin bonnets, scarfs and pillow case. Joavid:Have you tried V05? It use it to co wash after using black soap. All you need is a little. |
GENERAL RECIPE FOR TRANSITIONERS Oil Method Step 1 Massage a quarter-sized amount of pure coconut oil into your scalp and onto the new hair growth after you shampoo and while the hair is still damp. This will add moisture and soften the new hair growth so it will loosen its curls. Step 2 Pour olive oil into a squirt applicator bottle (the kind that is used to apply hair dye) using a funnel. Step 3 Part your hair with the applicator bottle by drawing a line down your hair with the bottle tip. Gently squeeze the bottle to apply a light amount of olive oil in a faint line down the part, as you drag the bottle tip through. Repeat on your whole head. Step 4 Gently comb the oils through your hair with a wide-toothed comb. Put your hair in a protective style such as a bun or braids. This style will give support to the brittle and easily-broken line of demarcation where the relaxed hair ends and the new growth starts. The longer your hair grows, the more stress is put on that line. Conditioner Method Step 1 Wet hair and shampoo as usual. Towel dry hair very gently, patting it dry, not rubbing. Step 2 Apply a deep conditioning treatment following the directions on the bottle. This should be done once a week. Wrap your hair in a towel to keep it warm and from dripping on you. Step 3 After 10 minutes (or the amount of time directed on the package) rinse the conditioner out of your hair. Carefully comb it using a wide-tooth comb and allow it to air dry. |

I have gone through a couple of threads and it's shocking to discover the different advices which based on facts seems to be wrong, here are a few things you should know as a transitioner or naturalista 1. WATER: The major role of water is that it keeps your scalp hydrated thereby strengthening the hair follicle which in turn stimulates growth.... This doesn't mean you should keep water in your spray bottle and carry it around at all times as this can even irritate your scalp and lead to itching, you won't even need to carry water everywhere if you have a SEALANT to begin with. This brings us to; 2. SHEA BUTTER: This powerful sealant locks in moisture while providing the scalp with nourishment all day long. In as much as this product seems to be readily available in Nigeria, there are fakes everywhere too where animal fat is paraded as original Shea. This product has excellent properties but because it is heavy, should be used sparsely to avoid clogging of the hair follicles 3. Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Lots of naturalists forget the extra virgin aspect and just hold on to the Olive oil part, with its excellent moisturizing properties it can also be used as a CARRIER OIL in the extraction of some oils e.g Citronella. As we all know, Olive oils are plenty in Nigeria so when buying always buy a BOTTLE PRODUCT those are Original. I would personally recommend GOYA brand. 4. HAIR MAYONNAISE: pls! Pls! and pls! Don't let anybody fool you into thinking this is the same thing as edible mayonnaise. A hair mayonnaise is more of a leave-in-conditioner that contains egg protein, fat and other conditioning ingredients to give you a soft shiny scalp and hair. It is quite affordable about 500naira for a big jar. If you put edible mayonnaise on your hair it's the same as using petroleum jelly, it can change your hair texture making it dry and coarse. You are not making salad please. 5. SHAMPOO: I advice people to use shampoos with added vitamins and minerals E.g: V05 for 1,000 only. It contains 5 essential vitamins and a lasting fragrance for aromatherapy. If you are doing the BLACK SOAP shampoo method, DUDU OSUN is your best option as it contains natural herbs and products it's just 150 naira. 6. HONEY: You need PURE HONEY for it to work, there are two types of honey in Nigeria: pure honey and fermented sugar honey. Pure honey is quite scarce and costly but it gets the job done with its antiseptic properties and its also a good detangling agent, ideal for a PREPOO or washday regimen, even day to day use. 7. DANGEROUS ADVICE: You need to beware of DIYS telling you to mix this and that, the only post I haven't seen is one asking me to put bread and boiled egg on my head because am a naturalist or in transition. You need to be sure of what ure looking for and as u know NOT EVERYTHING CAN OR WILL WORK FOR YOU. Stick to ur routine For your essential oil mixes, tips and tricks, general hair products and accessories Contact 07080039037(what's app) Ajadielizabeth@gmail.com |
It's no longer news that "Going natural is the new naija", I remember a time when if you had natural hair you're considered "a deeper life or SU" but these days when you go on social networks you'll see tons of pics of naturalists in and outside Nigeria even our celebs have caught the, it is important to say I have too as I am currently 5months into my hair journey. ![]() When I decided to go natural it wasn't because of the social media hype but because I saw it as a mode of spiritual cleansing; more like growing a plant, so I checked online and to my surprise there where lots of acronyms I had to decipher myself e.g LOC, ACV, PREPOO and so on. I also found people advertising tons of natural hair products which I ended up buying quite a number of them until I realized I was out of money for products. None of the videos I saw on YouTube or the tons of natural hair communities and blogs I follow had advice for a Nigerian natural hair, so I decided to right an article on the pros and cons of keeping a healthy natural hair and how to minimize costs using DIYs. Kindly follow.... |
First of all your post is extremely hilarious and I also feel ur pain beneath all the funny stuff because we have the same kinda hair texture, I am also on my hair journey and I am 5months along. The difference between us is that I cut my hair almost every year and this one I am carrying at the moment is just a year old. I decided to transition not because of the Instagram buzz but because I needed like an emotional detox, something to grow and nurture. Secondly there are lots of natural hair products that promise heaven and earth but my sister all na wash!...... Babes outside the country have a very different weather condition and access to cheaper products, it goes without saying "the sun for naija na die" On the issue of satin bonnets and stuff, if u don't like bonnets due to thier prophetess look try: 1. Tie the scarf firmly around your head using double knots and wear your hairnet or a soft cotton cap on it. 2. NOT ALL PRODUCTS WILL OR CAN WORK FOR YOU. 3.At least Shea butter works for you, b glad something does 4. Do you deep condition? And how often? 5. Your protein treatment should b done more often if possible every week 6. Do you know the ingredients of your shampoo? 7. Have u tried an APPLE CIDER VINEGAR toner mix? All these and may more are the Qs u should ask yourself. Also, there are products that contain all your essential oils so you don't buy them one after the other e.g: Emily millionaire coconut oil and herbs I also have hair mixes for sale for as low as 1,000 naira.
