To interceed means to plead for somebody,when I pray to God on your behalf,I'm interceeding for you.Yea,the spirit interceeds for us,but note that it wasn't written there that only the spirit can interceed for us.

These bible passages are enough proof:

James 5:16 - Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Revelation 5:8- And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Revelation 8:3-4- And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer [it] with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Romans 15:30- Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in [your] prayers to God for me.

Honour her? By kneeling, bowing and praying rosary before her statue? Doesn't the Bible say the dead has nothing to do with the living? Mary is dead. She's not aware of what your doing, as there's "no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave she has gone to"

Even when the Bible clearly states that "Jesus is the Mediator between God and man"? And that "He's the way, truth and life"? And that "no one comes to Father but by Him"? And that "there's no other name apart from His name given by which men can be saved?"

You are wrong in the aspect of Mary been in the grave,she is in heaven.I'm sure you'v read the part of revelation where she was crowned with the twelve stars.She hears our petitions because those in heaven are aware of what is going on here.

We don't pray to her,we ask her to interceed for us just like she did for the groom in Canaan.

Jesus is the mediator between God and man,thats why we ask Virgin Mary to plead for us.We don't pray through her,we rather as her to pray for us.

If Mary seems to be very important, as you stretched in your post, in the Gospels even with the fact that Jesus and the Apostles never give the instruction of worshipping her but we deem it fit to worship her why do we make other important people; Peter, Paul, John etc, exceptional in the aspect of worship?

Paul admonishes us to pray for others. Going by your interpretation of that statement does that not mean my dad, mum, sis, bro and friends who pray for me are also mediators?

If Mary is very important why doesn't the Bible declare explictly her importance and need of worship? Why guess and infer from random reading?

Your facts doesn't still make any rational point to give those huge regards to Mary.

At bolded part,the first miracle Jesus performed in the bible was due to the intersection of The Blessed Virgin Mary.Its written in the bible that the prayer of the righteous availeth much,what it means is that God answers the prayer of the saints over that of sinners.Thats why we catholics ask Mary to pray and interceed 4 us.

You wanted to know why Mary is important right?
Which reasonable human disregards hs mum and treats her anyhow?She is the mother of Jesus,this makes her the mother of the church.The fact that Jesus painstakingly handed her over to John shows that we have to respect her and love her.We don't worship her,we honour her.

Also know that Mary isn't the only person we ask to interceed for us,we also ask saints like St.Peter,St.Benedict,Dominic etc.

Therefore,respect and honour her because she is the mother of the church.She is the new ark of convenant.
