Properties / Re: Who is to blame here? Me or my landlord by T0CH(m): 6:53pm On Jul 13, 2023
Kirchoffs:
The landlord is late and the children aren’t in Naija, while he was alive I was told he refused to pay any money on the meter. My guy was the one occupying the apartment previously before I stepped in. The house is in care of a lawyer

That bill is most probably from before the prepaid meter was installed. Disco's usually incorporate outstanding bills from old meters/estimated billings into prepaid meter on installation and deduct 60% of subsequent recharges until it is cleared.
If your guy was living there before the prepaid meter was installed, then I guess he was involved in accumulating the bill.
Still bring it to the notice of the lawyer. However I doubt if anything will be done about it. Property Lawyers are only after their fee and have no concern for anything else.

@Op, confront your Landlord about your findings and hear what he has to say about it. Try to reach an agreement whereby whatever debt you pay should be subtract from your annual rent (even if it's 50% because he may not likely agree to a 100%).

As a word of advice for accomodation seekers; as part of background checks you'd normally do, try to normalize asking for the meter number from your prospective landlord and taking it to the nearest DISCO office for investigations to know if there are any outstanding bills. It would save you a whole lot of stress.

Programming / Are There Any Coding Enthusiasts In Abakaliki, Ebonyi State? by T0CH(m): 12:29pm On May 05, 2022
I've been trying to learn coding (self-taught) for a while now but sometimes it gets frustrating.

I would love to meet and learn with other coding enthusiasts.

If there are any such in same shoes, please gather here in the comment section.

I appreciate bro. It has gone through. I was experimenting with .toFixed(2)...and also the const/let thingie were my issues.

KemoSabe:

Based on your code
const computeBMI = ({weight, height, country}) => {
const nHeight = height * 0.3048;
let finalBMI = (weight/Math.pow(nHeight ,2));
const healthyCountry = ["Chad","Gambia","Ghana","Israel","Ivory Coast","Mali","Senegal","Sierra Leone","Uganda"]
if (healthyCountry.includes(country)){
finalBMI *= 0.82;
}
return finalBMI.toFixed(1);
}

Thanks bro but it Still ddnt work. This challenge is overwhelming.

KemoSabe:

For your if statement, you can say "if (healthyCountry.includes(country)){ <!-- Your remaining code goes here --!> }

Looks good tho. I'd suggest you try following the instructions strictly as regards the ordering of the functions. According to the instruction set your "displaySelectedUser" function shouldn't be where it is on your code.

babihouse:
I am currently in stage 2 i have also created the displaySelectedUser which work properly but it still show this error:

Create a "displaySelectedUser" function that updates the UI with the selected "user" properties. See the instructions for details.

Anyone with the solution ?
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Andela: IT Training And Job by T0CH(m): 6:12pm On May 08, 2019
.toFixed() just rounds the floating point to the number of decimal points places specified in the parentheses. Since it wasnt specified as to how the answer should appear, i think you can also use Math.floor() to get a whole number answer.

Thanks bro, your question led me to try something differently. And Guess what? Chrome Version!!! Jeez! I decided to update Chrome and voila it went through. So for those still experiencing such, do update Chrome and you'll be good to go.
