Nobody has even said anything about these LAWMA trucks.. those things are a ticking epidemic time bomb.... whenever they are around or have gone through a neighborhood, you can tell from miles away by the stench they leave behind. It's nauseating ..worse still, their trucks often tend to break down close to canteens, restaurants and food joints you'd think they actually do it intentionally.

I am sharing this to protect others on this platform.

I posted an ad looking for a graphics designer on Nairaland. Someone replied and we moved to WhatsApp. He sounded professional, sent samples, and seemed legit. He asked for payment upfront before starting the job. I paid 15,000 naira.

He started turning me and eventually no reply again. Funny enough, he used 2 numbers to chat with me simultaneously. Beeing that I wan variety, I was ready to take both party. I sent money after back and forth and till now he ghost me. Money gone. No work done.

Lesson learned

- Never pay 100% upfront to anyone you meet on Nairaland
- Scammers are active here daily
- If they insist on full payment before any work, walk away

I have his bank details if anyone needs them to avoid this person.

Be careful everyone.

Different scope of business. Fairmoney and the likes have MFB licenses which means your fixed deposit is insured by the NDIC to a maximum of 2million naira per customer. Should anything happen to them, you get 2million and nothing more, also your fixed deposit has no business with the SEC

I'm guessing your first cowrywise withdrawal. There's a 24hr timer once you place a withdrawal. You get paid after it's finished counting down

Trustbanc only....Apparently not except you invest directly with them. Investment amount is now split between different funds. Who send them message sef

Good this is that they have various methods for withdraw, check the ones that are cheaper in fees and go with it, if its opay open an account get it up to take large amounts, then move it there and then to your regular bank account, that should be N100 in total with what ever fees they charge to move the money to Opay. Alot of them are limited this show options and willing to give you access to those options.

Strange thing is the charges don't change irrespective of the channel. All funding options have the same charges., don't know if it varies with amount but 100k had charges of about 1200. Nest is to stick with the option provided by EquityM

I checked cowrywise who by the way acknowledged the funds....but it's telling me pending which I check my portfolios

That's the norm for non-mmf investment, reason why your Trustbanc or any other MMF subscription will reflect immediately. It will be processed within 2 days give or take and I believe you should have received an email detailing that. There's nothing to worry about.

You can say that again, I experienced the error issue but I just successfully completed my registration though.

In my own case, it was the last form, the bank detail forms where I was asked to provide my bank name I e, I applied ' First bank ' it was showing error until I adjusted it to ' FirstBank ' .
