There is nothing decent about a coward that does not know his left from his right. Simple.
Funny enough, Nzegouw made the same accusation about Ironsi, citing that he's not fit to be the country's Hos.

Judging by the mess Ironsi left behind after his demise, i guess, Nzegeow was right, after all.

You said it all: The same thing Ojukwu complained in 1966 is still happening today.
WHAT exactly did Ojukwu complained about in 1966, ( that is still happening today) and WHEN exactly, did he make this complain?

Believeintruth:
Oga so far as Muritala's coup was not branded a Northern Coup or Buhari's coup against Shagari a Fulani coup. 1966 was not an Igbo coup and there was no few non-igbo actors, they were many Non- Igbo actors.
Did the north told you that they give a rat's behind about what tag, you place on their coups?

The July coup was called the "revenge coup" but did you hear any northern wailing (like you gyus are wo nt to do) that it wasn't a revenge coup or a northerners coup? Hell No!!! They care less about you or your feelings.

If we ask you to name those non-igbo actors (in the Jan. Coup), you will start listing the likes of Fola Oyewole, Ganiu Adeleke etc. These are folks that were co-opted into the plot at the 11th hour.

Believeintruth:
Oga why are you shifting goal post? You said that Ademoyega was the last person, now I cleared your doubt and you are coming up with another lie about police special branch report that also mentioned the fact that there was non-igbos that participated in that coup and there was never a time in that special branch report that they attributed the coup to a tribe.
Stop befuddlling your good self. You cleared no one's doubt about the issue of discourse except of course, in your delusional mind.

And to add to your point, they hid their real intentions for the coup.
Abi o! They are not even bold enough to own their own phock up. They have to lie.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Leaders Welcome Ethiopian Emperor, Haile Selassie In 1964 (Photo) by T9ksy(m): 6:10pm On Apr 26
Believeintruth:
Bro you really don't know how to lie. Adekoyega stated in his book that idea of the coup was conceived by himself and Ifejuna, in fact if there was anyone who was the last to be brought into the plan, it was Nzeogwu when Maj Chude Sokei was sent abroad on training. Bros stop trying to defend nonsense. You have lost the plot to spread propaganda.
Ademoyega wrote what he believed to be true about his involvement in the coup but undoubtably, Ifeajuuna was not forthrightly with him from the unset if he, ademoyega could have ended up with such a misconception.

The special branch police report (after over 200 police interviews of participants, witnesses, politicians, collaborators etc), concluded that the trio who concevied the coup were ALL igbos! You can't wriggle outta that one, na.

Unfortunately, it's you that is deliberately disseminating propaganda by trying to twist well-known narratives.

They were all involved in the coup
Yoruba!
I suppose, you must be afflicted with acute compression skills. No one said that they were not active participants in the Jan. coup but they were not the original instigators and hence, planners of the coup.

The trio who conceived the Jan. 15th coup were ALL igbos!
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Leaders Welcome Ethiopian Emperor, Haile Selassie In 1964 (Photo) by T9ksy(m): 1:26pm On Apr 26
Believeintruth:
So Ademoyega and Fola Oyewole who also planned and participated in the coup are Igbo abi. Bros that lie is stale.
Gbenu soun jo! Ademoyega was the last officer recruited in mid-october, into a coup slated for Jan. 15th, 1966! Yeah, he participated but he was not a member of the coup "planning commitee". That title belongs to Majors Ifeajunna and Okafor and Capt. Oji.
The coup was conceived in August 1965 by the trio above, and planning and recruitments of collaborators, in earnest.
Ref: Special branch report of April 1966.

As for Fola Oyewole, Ademoyega confirmed in his book, "why we struck" that the former did not know of the existence of the coup until 11:40pm on Jan. 14, 1966. Just as Oyewole had stated in his book, "The reluctant rebel".

But here you are, claiming falsely, that Oyewole was part of the planners of the jan.15th 1966 coup. The sad thing here is the fact that, you know what you claimed is errornous but i guess, you just couldn't help yourself..........

A NEW DAWN FOR EQUITY: ALL PARTIES PLEDGE SOUTHEAST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES FOR 2027, LET NIGERIANS CHOOSE THEIR IGBO LEADER

ENUGU — History turned a new page this week as leaders of all registered political parties in Nigeria announced a unified pact: every party will field only South Easterners as presidential candidates in 2027, giving Nigerians a historic chance to choose their preferred Igbo leader for the nation’s highest office.

The landmark resolution, brokered after weeks of consultations led by South East elders, was unveiled in Enugu on Friday to chants of “Finally, One Nigeria.” From APC to PDP, LP to ADC, party chairmen signed a communiqué affirming that justice, healing, and national balance demand that the presidency rotate to the South East.

“This is not about tribe. This is about trust,” the Council of South East Elders declared. “Nigeria has waited 60 years for this moment of equity. In 2027, every ballot will carry an Igbo name. Nigerians will now choose based on competence, vision, and character — not region.”

The pact means voters will see an all-Igbo presidential lineup: Igbo economists, Igbo industrialists, Igbo reformers, Igbo generals — each with different manifestos, all with one heritage. For the first time, the question is not _if_ an Igbo can lead, but _which_ Igbo will lead.

Youth groups across the six zones erupted in celebration, calling it “the maturity Nigeria needed.” Market unions in Aba, tech hubs in Lagos, farmers in Kebbi, and students in Maiduguri echoed the same line: “Let the best Igbo win.”

Party leaders said the decision ends decades of marginalization and kills the narrative of “permanent opposition.” By removing region from the ballot war, 2027 becomes a pure contest of ideas. Education, security, jobs, and power — not zoning — will dominate debates.

“This is how you build a nation,” said a Northern delegate at the signing. “You give every child a reason to believe the seat belongs to them too. Now, every Igbo child can point to the ballot and say ‘my turn is now.’”

The South East Elders commended all parties for “choosing country over calculation” and urged Nigerians to prepare for campaigns of substance, not sentiment.

For millions who felt unseen, 2027 is no longer a protest vote. It’s a menu. Pick your Igbo. Pick your future.
Now, wake up and smell the blasted coffee - No igbo man will ever rule Nigeria.................as articulated by the "true owners of Nigeria , the Fulanis who incidentally, are not indigenious to any part of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: The Brutal Final Hours Of General Aguiyi-ironsi: Beaten, Dragged & Executed by T9ksy(m): 11:18am On Apr 19
GeneralOuki:
This is nonsense, historians suggest that ironsi was trying to balance the factions within the military with those promotions, it has nothing to do with bigotry.
And indeed the coup had a nationalistic aim as it ultimately planned to free and enthrone Awolowo who was a Yoruba man. Furthermore, the plotters were not just igbo men and one Yoruba, that's distortion of history. The coup plotters involved people like:
Captain Ganiyu Adeleke (Yoruba)

Captain Gibson Jalo (Bali/Chamba)

Captain S. Swanton (Middle Belt)

Lieutenant Fola Oyewole (Yoruba)

Lieutenant John Atom Kpera (Tiv)

Lieutenant O. Olafemiyan (Yoruba)

Lieutenant Hope Harris Eghagha (Urhobo)

Second Lieutenant Saleh Dambo (Hausa)

Lieutenant Dag Warribor (Ijaw)

Lieutenant R. Egbiko (Esean)

Lieutenant Tijani Katsina (Hausa/Fulani) .

Do tell me what's tribalist about this names
And which factions in the military was Ironsi trying to placate by promoting ONLY 18 igbo military officers?

Fola Oyewole was not a coup plotter. He got wind of the coup on the 14th of Jan. 1966 at 11:40pm, barely 3hrs before the commencement of the said coup. Read "The reluctant rebel" by Fola Oyewole and "Why we stuck" by Maj. Ademoyega.

Omo, una go explain tire...........

GeneralOuki:
ethnic bigotry by promoting northern officers? I wonder how you people cross the road this kind of brain sha
[iIronsi did promote three northerm officers but it was an afterthought.

Initially, Ironsi had promoted a whopping 18 igbo officers ONLY! He only promoted these northerners to mask his inherent bigotry. It's akin to how Ademoyega was the last officer recruited by the igbo coupists to whitewash the nefarous plot and give it nationalistic/revolutionay outlook.

Moreover, the 3 northern officers were promoted over and above their yoruba peers. Ironsi couldn't find any yoruba officer worthy of promotion but he found 18 igbos!
