Those afore-mentioned infrastructures were built by the colonial govt and not by the FG, as you keep insinuating.

But why are you pretending to be this dense? Whatever projects, investments by the FG was in Lagos Island and not the whole of Lagos.

Before anyone comes and starts saying the good old days

1. Under colonial rule, most people did not have access to good roads, good power supply, and potable water

2. Only a tiny minority went to school, even fewer went to colleges like these

3. Most people were not rich. They were poor.

4. Development was dependent on whether the colonialists found your area useful to their purposes. Hence the police college being built in Lagos.
Speak for yourself and not what you don't know.

My paternal g/father was a school headmaster in the 1920s (so he must have had some form of education) before going into Produce buying business in the 30s. He certainly wasn't poor as he was able to send all his sons to Kings College and even his daughters to Queens College in the 50s.

All my uncles (3) including my dad studied in England before 1960 whilst my aunties (2) also studied in England.

Lagos island not Lagos state. No one is re-writing history however, you are being obtuse by chanting "Lagos,Lagos ,Lagos" like a broken record player.

Am sure, you are aware of the difference between Lagos island - the Colonial seat of power at thr time and Lagos state, that was created in 1967.

In your foolishness, you believe Nigeria defeated igbos in the civil war ?

Did igbos fight Nigeria during the civil war ?

Igbos fought against Britain, USSR, OAU, FRANCE, ARABIC WORLD, and other hidden global oil interest, and yet we stood our ground for 30 solid months. Soldier to soldier you couldn't defeat us despite outnumbering and being more equipped than us.

We developed and fought with our own technology, you depended on foreign support. We surrendered not because defeat but because of food blockade.

After the war we have prospered more than you people. From our ashes we are doing wonders and exploits around the world. While you Nigeria and Nigerians still remain a backward, hungry and disgraced nation. A shit hole.

If that is not being unbeatable, then you need to tell me what being unbeatable is. Had Britain left the war to be fought purely between you Nigerians and Biafrans, there wouldn't have been a nation called Nigeria by now. Remember it took us few days with no loss of a soldier to reach Ore.
Loud am, make we hear am! Na unofficial WW111 o............The whole flippin' wide world were fighting tiny Biafra and even with the blockade, they- the biafrans still stood their ground for 30months! What a delusion of invincibility.

And what happened at Ore? The whole biafran offensive was scuppered at Ore by 279, hurriedly assembled yoruba infantry soldiers and from then on, the rag-tag Biafran Liberation Front back-peddled all the way back to enugu.

Obviously, they have conveniently forgotten the number of indigenes of Oyo state, the Seriki of Igangan (Salihu) and his side-kick, Wakili kpaied in the land without any recourse to justice until Igboho and OPC came to put a stop to their wanton recklessness, in our land.

The OPC guys that eventually got Wakili arrested (as none of our security forces were ready to confront him at his IGA Wakili hide-out), spent over 3months in detention. I presume, that's their own concept of "Justice", ba.

Here is a clean, list of the January 15, 1966 Nigerian coup plotters (the officers generally identified by historians as the actual planners and executors of the coup).

Omo, your "clean" list is unfortunately DIRTY and as such , should be thrown in to the rubbish bin .
Sheer gaslighting, it is.

The Jan. 15th coup was an igbo coup , not because of the number of igbo officers involved but for two things:

1. the victims and

2. the beneficiaries.

It's interesting to note that NCNC - a junior partner in the coalition govt. of the day were already having a meeting and wanted Ozumba Mbadiwe to be the acting Pm which of course was not acceptable to the NPC -senior member in the govt., who wanted dipcherima as their PM. Orizu refused to abide by their wishes (NPC's) but went into another room to consult with Ironsi for 40minutes!

It's infuriating and perplexing to be having this kind of discourse, 6 decades after the FACT

Adewale Ademoyega

Ganiyu Adeleke

Fola Oyewole

Were some of the Yoruba officers that planned and executed the Jan 15 coup 1966.

Ofcourse you will argue to deceive yourself as usual. If when the truth is slammed on your face .
What truth is slammed in your face that you are still arguing blindly about? What does it say about you (and your ilk) that after 60 years, you are still arguing about an open and closed case. This is why no one listen to you guys , anymore. You have been cloned by your past leaders on a deadly cocktail of lies, propaganda and gas lighting.

You obviously haven't read Ademoyega's book else you won't come online to expose your ignorance. Ademoyaga's book did not exonerate the igbos. If you had truly read the book, you would have been aware of the fact, he mentioned the meeting that took place at Ifeajuun's place on the 14th of January, 1966 and that not more than 2 people (present) had fore-knowledge of the coup plot.

Fola Oyewole that you falsely claimed was a member of the coup plot wrote a book, "The reluctant rebel", where he said that until 11:30pm , 14th Jan. 1966 he had no knowledge of a coup plot before he was asked to come to ifeajuuna's flat. Ditto Ganiyu Adeleke, who on been told of the coup plot asked to be excused as he will like to consult with his family first. Ifeajunna then asked someone to follow him saying, "he may be the first casualty of the coup". They both (Fola and Ganiyu) were friends as they both worked in Apapa, before the crisis.

In short, most of those attendees at Ifeajunna's house that night had no fore-knowledge of the coup. There was even a guy, (name escapes me now) who was tasked with the job of destroying the telephone lines and didn't even know he was participating in a coup, not until he got back to his base and was picked did it dawned on him that he had actually albeit, unknowingly, participated in a coup.

I can see some Yoruba Muslim followers of that drug sniffer begging their ancestral spirits to include an Igbo name therein.. grin

That Igbo name would be worth more than the Yoruba officer from Osun and all other northern officers on the list., as it will help their anti-Igbo propaganda as we approach 2027 elections.. grin

We saw how they twisted the propaganda in the Jan 15 coup in 1966 and tagged it an 'Igbo coup'. Carefully removing the names of the Yoruba and Northern officers who actively participated in that coup.

At the end, one of the Yoruba officers Maj. Adewale Ademoyega honourably wrote a book 'Why we struck' to dispel the rumour that it was an 'Igbo coup'. Vindicating the Igbos.

A book that many propagandist Yoruba writers hate to reference till today..

Posterity is a great judge.. grin

*please mention and save this text, before they delete it and ban me as usual*
Who are these "Yoruba and northern officers who actively participated in the coup plot"?

Today Abuja is equally a no man's land and that's because of its FCT status ,hence, the reason Wike from SS is the Minister of Abuja....

We can't use Nigeria money to develop Lagos and you claim sole ownership, do you see us call another Yoruba state a no man's land? Majority of the Nigeria economic opportunities are concentrated in Lagos and that's what's attracting most Nigerians into Lagos.
It's quite disingenuous and mischievous to compare Abuja with Lagos in the context of FCT status. Lagos was already an emerging city before it was made the FCT of Nigeria - it already has a telephone system built during the colonial era in 1886, a port, built in 1913, airport built during WWII whilst Abuja was a barren land that was built from scratch specifically, as an FCT.

So, Lagos was not built with Nigeria money rather it was chosen as a FCT because of its vintage position and the framework already laid down by Awo during its administration of the western region whose major parts like ikeja, agege, Oshodi, ilepeju ati bebelo were later annexed to form the FCT, in 1967. At any rate, the only group shouting Lagos is no man's land had little or no contribution to the further development of the city when it was designated as an FCT, as they barely had enough money to cater for their own homeland.

Your folks were already trooping down to yorubaland even before Lagos was made the FCT- zik settled in lagos in 1937, all your educated men of the 40's settled in the western region same as the ilk of Ojukwu's father and the rest.

You people claimed that all igbos are migrating to Lagos through night buses, that there are more IGBOS in Yoruba land than in the erosion ravaged backward East.......if this is the case why won't they be given positions since they are in majority?

If course you won't see such kind of list in core SW states except in no man's land
How many times do we have to tell you guys that Lagos is NOT a no man's land? In the whole country, only you people keeps calling Lagos a no man's land, since 1947. Why are you folks so obsessed with Lagos? It is our ancestral land and it's quite rude and insultive to keep referring to lagos as a no man's land

Unfortunately for you lot, Lagos had been part of yorubaland long before we even know of your existence. It was founded by a yorubaman, ttendered and nutured by yoruba people who laid down the framework for what it's now and no amount of subterfuge from strangers will change this fact.

Our grandfathers fought yours with their lives (@Ore) to bequeath it to us and we will happilly take up the gauntlet.
