All this talk of "if you want to go, just go" is stale. Last time we dud that, you guys came to fight for three years to bring us back. If we di that again, you guys will still come to fight again. Thats why its time for everyone to aree that this British colonial creation called Nigeria has been a waste of time, resources and lives. We all agree to seperate, shake hands and go our seperate ways. Thats way, nobody will need to fight to bring anyone back
I just knew you were gonna be coming back to me with that "last time we left, BS".

You left yeah? so wth were you doing in Ore enroute to Lagos? Abi, Ore is part of your illusionary biafra, ni? When I said, "leave... ", I meant leave and stay put in your ancestral land. But hell no, you just had to find an excuse to come sniffing outside your biafra with your BLF.

God bless you my Igbo brother from across the Niger.

It was an unfortunate incident that happened in Asaba.

Unfortunately bro, the people you want to work with to change the story of Nigeria for good don't want it to happen, they still believe that the Igbos must not be allowed to govern Nigeria even if the Igbo man running for President is the ordained leader by God, so tell me how the so called Nigeria can be liberated?
Na which God ordained the ibo man running for presidency, to liberate(sic) Nigeria? when ? where was he ordained?

PoliticsRe: Sunday Igboho Says He Is A Christian Who Uses Charms, Sparks Fresh Debate by T9ksy(m): 2:12pm On Feb 28
edcas:
Let it be understood that being born in a Christian community or even inside the church or being given a Christian name does not make you a Christian. You may only claim to be a Christian if your only proof is on the afore mentioned parameters.

To be a Christian is quite far from answering a Christian name, going to church, or living in a Christian community. To be a Christian is "being like Christ" or "living the way Christ lived." Interestingly, the word "Christian" was first mentioned about AD 40-43 when the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch because of the similitude of their lifestyle and conduct with that of Jesus (Acts 11:26). So to be a Christian simply means that you a "follower of Christ." A real Christian demonstrates his or her belief by living the way Christ lived—doing what Christ did and avoiding what Christ avoided. A Christian will follow Christ and work at patterning his/her life after His life. That is why you need the second birth, that is, being "Born Again."

Christian practice and the practise of magical powers or charms are not, and cannot be the same. It will be a misnomer for someone to say he is a Christian who uses charms, because biblically, this is called syncretism.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters.”

]You cannot serve:

Jesus and charms

The Holy Spirit and talismans

The Cross and occult rituals

The final truth is that a Christian does not need charms. As a Christian, you have the Name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit. and the Word of God. These are more powerful than any charm ever created.

So brother, if you want to be a Christian, you need to repent and forsake those charms.
So when Jesus turned water into wine, was that not charm? Abi when Jesu feed multitude of people with one loaf of bread
and fivr fishes, was that not charm?

Whatever, Igboho does or did, he will always call on the name of his God, known to him (and all yorubas), as "Olodumare".
Jesus had no meaning in yoruba language. Xtianity is a foreign religion, same as Islam. Our forfathers were worshipping their God before these interlopers came with their own God to exploit us.

WizardOfNG:
You're right about America and their self-servitude but nothing stops Nigerians themselves, if progressive as some Africans are revealing themselves to be today, from capitalising on the furore the USA has created over Sharia to demand it must be repealed.

We should never forget the fact that Nigeria is a secular nation according to our constitution yet the North is doing everything possible to reverse that and force Islam on our nation.

They have always done this while the South 'sleeps' lazily because the region is not full of indoctrinated religious fundamentalists as the North is.

An example is how IBB, in 1986, secretly made Nigeria a member of the OIC, organisation of Islamic cooperation, without seeking consultation with Nigerians who are not moslem and represent a significant percentage of our population.

Southerners need to stop their simple-mindedness and see what matters. The USA has started something we should finish if smart, focused and progressive.
There isn't much we southerners can do, except declare war. Unfortunately, these guys have fully embedded themselves into every nuke and corner of this country, it's just a matter of time before they completely take over the country whilst we the so-called "educated and intelligent south" bickers among ourselves.
Imagine, one even opined here, that the kpiaing going on all over the country is being enabled by the SW and he got hailed for this illogical opinion!

The 1999 Constitution that we are using to run the country is not worth the papers, it was written on by retired general Abdul salami Abubaker, where it started off with "We the prople........ ....." before going to mention Sharia 73 times like as if, it is an intregal part of he Laws that governs the country.

No one raised an eyebrow but now 26 yrs after the fact, they want to repel it! 4 where? When our VP is a terrorist sympatiser.

There are 19 northern states and I DON'T BELIEVE ALL OF THEM are opposed to state police. Matter of fact, only few of them have a body language that's opposed to the president. Of the 19 northern, you cant have 9 that's opposed to the president CURRENTLY. The President has Majority support in the National Assembly and also majority support among the governors, nothing should stop establishment of state police by state governors.
Mark my words, no state police and no restructuring, either. Yeah, the president have majority support in the National Assembly yet he can't do nada as they desimate his region?
Even the americans ain't gonna do Jack......it will just be like the French fighting terrorism in Burkina faso for decades whilst at the same time, supplying arms to the terrorists.

The Americans have been in Nigeria for over 2months and yet nothing has changed.

State police is a better alternative to this one that the President is expected to send troops to all parts of Nigeria where some troops dont understand the culture and religious practice of the people. In some instances, some State governors and citizens do not accept the approach of the President in fighting terrorism because of difference in RELIGIOUS AND CULTURAL BELIEFS.
Yeah, state police is a better alternative but guess what, the northern governors and leaders, are all unanimously opposed to it, just as they rejects the the notion of restructuring the country's political space.
Same way, they will not entertain the thought of spliting the country up. Hell no! They prefers the status quo.
What we have in Nigeria is truly, not xtian genocide but rather ethnic genocide - the fulanis, who are not even indigenous to anywhere in northern nigeria, are systematically and surreptitiously doing away with the true indigenous people of the country under the guise of religious purity.

The old dog is incapable of learning, new tricks.

Igbophobia:
Though the British made it seem like ethnic coup, all Nigerians initially supported the January 1966 coup.

Though the Gideon Orkar announced coup failed, it also had all the features of a revolution.

What these two coups had in common is that they deviated from the normal soldier of fortune leaning.

Why did the two revolutionary coups fail?
Would the country have been better if they succeeded?

Have you noticed that the core leaders of these two coups are from the Niger Delta of so-called South South?
Is there a message Nigeria has missed?
It's quite unfortunate that you guys keep propagating this false narrative that Nzeguwe was one of the leaders of the Jan 15th coup when the Police Special Branch report states that Nzeguew was the last to be recruited followed by Ademoyega.

The duo were recruited in or around October meanwhile, Majors Ifeajunna, Okafor and Capt. Oji started the coup plot in August.

How then can Nzeogwu be one of the leaders of a coup plot that was already ongoing, months before he was recruited?

Obasanjo allowed this...

Obasanjo was complicit of the implementation of sharia... He should have stopped this as a president during this period.

All through the military regime there was no sharia

Because Nigeria is a secular state n not an Islamic state but with the adoption of sharia
How do you expect Obj to have scuppered the introduction of sharia int our secular country when afew years before the election, he was languishing in jail, on death row.

The same folks that jailed him on trumped-up charges were the same ones that took him outta prison and into aso rock! Obj was practically a fulani stooge in 1999.

The constitution Obj read at his inauguration was fake and new to him, drafted by abubakar- the military dictator who took over from abacha.

Basically, the 1999 election was supposed to compensate the Sw following Abiola's death at the hands of the same folks up north, who felt they won't br able to control an Abiolas presidency. So, they made Obj an offer he would be silly to refuse -either rot in jail or be President.
