You should not learn Graphic Design with the sole aim of making money. You should learn because you are passionate about creating beautiful things. That is when you would enjoy both the learning processes, and the actual profession.

All things being equal, you should be able to get some firm grasp after about two months of learning with the help of a good and experienced instructor/facilitator. You can then evolve to become a big fish in the creative industry in a matter of two years.

This is my eleventh year as a graphic designer and I am still learning.

^^^^Can't argue with some of your comments up there. Nairaland is a shadow of what it once was - it was once cutting edge with sharp, conscious, smart young people - but its now in the same league as "naijapals", etc. It will be interesting to see what it'll look like 7 years from now.
