Ogbonnaya out of Dolphins game
Kano Pillars centre-back
Reuben Ogbonnaya will
miss Sunday's Nigeria
Professional Football
League clash against
Dolphins due to a leg
injury.
The former El-Kanemi
Warriors defender was substituted in the first half of
the away encounter at Warri Wolves and was also
missing in the 3-0 loss to Sunshine Stars in Akure
last weekend.
Ogbonnaya’s season has been blighted by mishaps
and injuries and this latest setback sees the defender
miss out on a potentially explosive clash as Pillars
look to get back to winning ways.
“I am gutted that I will miss out on the game
(against Dolphins). No player wants to be injured,
but that is part of the game,” the defender told
supersport.com.
“I had to go off against Warri Wolves when I copped
the injury that made me miss the game in Akure
against Sunshine Stars.
“The good news is that I’ve started light jogging and
I hope I get back to full fitness so I can help my
team get back on track,” the defender said.
NPFL defending champions Kano Pillars have had a
topsy-turvy season winning seven matches and
losing six after 13 games in what one would describe
as characteristic of a mid-table team and not
champions stuff. |
Kano Pillars v Dolphins (Sani Abacha Stadium) The champions, Kano Pillars, are marching on to that 200th milestone of unbeaten games at home. They are just five matches to achieving that feat as they celebrate 12 years, seven days of their unbeaten streak at home in the top flight. No disrespect to former champions, Dolphins, but they do not look like the side that can stop Pillars at their Sani Abacha ground. Since the departure of Emem Eduok, Dolphins have managed just three wins and are currently on a run of seven matches without a win. Enough said. |
In recent seasons, this match-up has become one of the grudge contests in the top flight, and it all started just two seasons ago and it even spilled into the Cup game in same season too. This game will not be a stroll for the highly-rated Wolves setup as I found their loss at home to Rangers last weekend surprising. Yes I have said severally that the Promise Keepers look like a team set up for the drop but against WOlves I will not bet against them. My prediction: 2-1 |
FavourCintosis:The worst is that of Enyimba, most of the sponsor are joma, Koopa, addidas, owo. That if lobi and kwara United are the best of which are sponsored by the indigenous OWO |

If you want to compare Google then go with ask, yahoo, delta and lot of emails. For Nairaland you should compare it with Xda, ¥arnm€.com.ng, I |
