The rate at which universities and polytechnics are exploiting prospective students are become unbearable. How can someone pay for an exam and they expect you to pay again before you can see your result. Normally, it is mandatory that once you sit for an exam, your result should be released at no extra cost. The cost of exam should have covered the result as well. After all when you pay someone to mark a script, he don’t just give you back the marked script, he attach a summary of the result. Prospective students should log in and see their result. If it is costly for them putting it on net, they should paste it in the school and students who are within the vicinity can copy their result manually. Imagine some schools charging students N2000 for 1hr post utme exam and when the result is released, the student is expected to also buy a result checker card for N1000 to see the result. What then is the essence of phone number and email address provided in the form. Lets speak out so that government can force these schools to stop this extortion. In fact, all the higher institutions that gets allocation from federal government should as well have Single Treasury Account. Please see what you can do to get this message to the appropriate authority. For example, http://unn.edu.ng/sites/unn.edu.ng/files/images/u1/update5x.pdf |

The Senate on Tuesday, August 11, has asked the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to immediately abolish fixed charges on electricity consumption, bulk marketing of villages and communities. This was made known after a motion by Sen. Sam Egwu (Ebonyi North) titled; ‘Unfair Trade Practices of Electicity Distribution Companies (DISCOs) in Nigeria’ was raised. It was co-sponsored by Sen. David Umaru (Niger East). Also, it directed NERC to ask the DISCOs to discontinue the practice of compulsory bulk metering of villages and communities in the rural areas as a consumer should have the right to elect to be part of bulk metering scheme or not. The senate also directed NERC to a make a regulation to mandate the DISCOs to discontinue the practice of making consumers pay for meters, poles and transformers which by law are property of the DISCOs. https://www.naij.com/515040-senate-urges-nerc-immediately-abolish-fixed-charges-electricity-consumption.html |
Now that undergraduates are still having their post Utme on that same 21st, do you think the PG screening exam will still hold on 21st. Please help me confirm. chimexcomm: |

A man who saw his new wife for the first time without make up is reportedly SUING her for trauma, after being shocked at her appearance. The unnamed couple had just got married in Algeria and after spending the night together, the husband woke up to find his wife bare faced. But rather than admire her natural beauty, instead the man REFUSED to believe the woman was his wife, believing her to be a thief. Finally realising that this was in fact the woman he loved, the man is now allegedly suing her for fraud and “psychological suffering”. A source told Emirates 247: “He said he was deceived by her as she used to fill up her face with make up before their marriage. “He said she looked very beautiful and attractive before marriage, but when he woke up in the morning and found that she had washed the make-up off her face, he was frightened as he thought she was a thief.” The price of the husband’s “suffering” is £13,000 http://news.yahoo.com/groom-sues-new-wife-for-fraud-after-seeing-her-075109260.html |

Assuming you want to pay your tithe and a junior colleague came up with a problem of health challenges and wants you to assist him in paying hospital bills with the exact amount you want to pay as tithe. Should you decline helping him and pay your tithe or use the tithe money to rescue him out of his problem. |

I have never seen a rich northern politician daughter put on hijab in public. Its mainly the poor ones. The wives and daughters of the Northern governors no dey wear hijab. They no dey marry at the age of 13. I support the ban of hijab in public places. they can wear it inside their house.
