PoliticsPolice Deny Withdrawing Obiano’s Security Aides by talktrue1(op): 8:44pm On Nov 16, 2017
The Nigeria Police Force has denied withdrawing the security aides attached to Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano.

Force Public Relations Officer, Mr Jimoh Moshood, in a statement issued on Thursday, faulted reports that the Aide-De-Camp (ADC) and Chief Security Officer to the governor were withdrawn by the police.

The statement comes a day after President Muhammadu Buhari and the Senate ordered the police authorities to restore Obiano’s security aides.

Contrary to the reports, Moshood said both men were called on November 14 to attend a lecture with other police personnel and stakeholders deployed for Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

According to him, the CSO and ADC returned a few hours after the lecture to their duty posts at the Government House in Awka.

“The Anambra State Police Command had issued a press statement to clarify the reasons why the ADC and CSO to the governor were called to the command headquarters in Awka for the lecture and that they were not withdrawn.

“It is also pertinent to set the record straight and inform the public and re-emphasise the fact that the ADC and CSO to the governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano, were not withdrawn from their duty post.

InvestmentRe: Why Invest In Treasury Bills When Theres Stanbic's Mutual Funds? by talktrue1(m):
Tbills is the BEST when you have money that you will NOT need till maturity. No doubt about that.

But assuming you plan to buy a property and you set standard. It can take a month or two or even longer period for you to get your choice. There's no fixed date. Instead of keeping the money in your account where the bank will be charging for sms, card maintenance , etc. you can chose to do money market fund and liquidate anytime you got your choice of property.

You can lock up a particular amount in tbills while u use mmf for money in case of eventualities.

There is no charge at stanbic mmf, to my knowledge. You can redeem any amount you want at anytime after the first 30 days.

This post is not to convince anyone but to educate people who are looking for opportunities. When I got information like this , I went to stanbic Ibtc like 3 times to make more enquiries and clear any doubt I have.

cooldudeng:
Not sure i get you correctly. it's a case of pre-liquidation!
Note that tbills rate for 91days is around 13% -15%
If you liquidate your 365 days Tbills investment after 60days, the bank MAY have to re-calculate your investment with rate less than 90days i.e 13%. Remember that the less the number of days, the less the rates.

This is where mmf comes in. If you know you WILL need ur money anytime but no specific date yet, go for money market fund. You are free to liquidate your fund anytime after 30days without any charges.

Stanbic ibtc rate is same no matter the number of days you invested. Thats from my own calculation.

We wish to inform you that your bid for a Treasury Bill of xxxxxxxxx with reference number 110151002860 was successful. Full details below:

Reference Number: 110151002860
Principal: xxxxxxxxxx
Rate: 18.25%
Tenor: 364 days
Maturity Date: 2018-08-02

Thank you for choosing FirstBank.
I know stanbic allows you to bid in the primary market with their own stop rate, but first bank says I can only go for the secondary market once I have less than N50m

Are there some firstbank branches that allows to submit your bid for primary market and go wt their rate when you have less than N50m?
