In the tackle stat, he is simply the best in the EPL. And to imagine he had not always being a defender this season. His interception stat is also very impressive with only Jones, Rafael and Rojo doing better. His short coming is his clearance.

Ivanovic has only lost 5 of 33 tackles. Azpilicueta has lost 12 out of 40 tackles. You can work out their porousity rate.

Jones is still okay with tackles. He has a better minutes to tackle won than Smalling, McNair, Blackett, and Shaw. And I have told you he is about the best in EPL in terms of interception.

how many tackles has jones won per minute? that ewure-looking guy is who you are hyping?

Let me try and give you figures. But I dey fear spamboat. What I told you is correct.

Jones has a very good interception stat. He intercepts every eighteen minutes . The closest Chelsea player is Mikel Obi which is thirty four minutes.

Azpilicueta gets more dribbled by opponents than Ivanovic. Ivovic get beaten every one hundred and eight minute while Azpilicueta gets beaten every sixty four minutes. You see why I said he is porous?

You wrote about tackle earlier on. However, in terms of being beaten, Rafael and Azpilicueta are porous.

Matic makes the highest tackles for Chelsea. Rafael has been beaten eight times in twenty four tackles. Valencia has been beaten only three times in thirty six tackles.

ask anyone that has been watching chelsea this season & they would tell you azpi has been the their best player. when have you ever seen azpi get beaten, get caught out or doing something stüpid to cause a grave defensive error?

zabaleta, ivanovic, maicon, evra, etc take too many risks in their style of football & they get punished for it. azpi is a different animal...he knows when to go forward & when to hold. if he knows going forward might put his team in danger, he holds & when he bombs forward, the space he leaves behind never gets exploited by the opponents - something you cannot say about the names you have mentioned earlier.

i know the season is still young but from what i have seen so far, azpi has been 100% in all the games he's featured. not even his team mates in the chelsea defence can come near him in the way he excellently reads the game. he's been nothing short of total perfection for his team.

Azpilicueta has been beaten twelve times in forty tackles. Give it to Ivanovic.
