You will have to define your "heavy usage". Besides the important thing is the screen on time till it got low not how long took to get low ,if you get what I mean
mrvocalprowess: i use the Nokia 5.1 plus and it lasts 8-9 hours on heavy usage. he's saying the truth.
The op is actually proposing he gets 500KBps as download speed on a 4g network.. I'm sorry but this just sounds too "unbelievable" for me
Kamaye: Here in Jos the best speed I was able to get from Airtel 4G is 2mb/s. It depends on location though, maybe I could get higher speed in another location within the city.
It’s no news that Airtel is testing their 4g network speeds (despite the fact that some countries are already testing 5g), They are also giving out four gigabytes worth of data to their customers as bonus free data to test their 4g LTE speed.
I’m a proud Airtel user and I must say despite the free offer, I don’t see myself subscribing to any Airtel 4g plans due to the poor network speed that is being offered.
My intent of writing this piece is not to bash the telecommunication giant but for them to up their game, the 4g LTE is speed is just an overrated 3g band speed.
Airtel even took their campaign to twitter to promote the 4g network with the hash tag #3GIsGreat4GIsBetter.
I can’t really complain about the free data I was offered but I don’t buy into the whole “4g service” and here are my reasons; I have done some speed tests and check out the screenshots
The upload speed reached a maximum of 930 kilobytes per second, I did this test several times but the figures slightly changed but at most times they didn’t go higher than this.
We have seen better speed offered by an array of other networks and I’m just gonna call this for what it is; A BIG SHAM, I’m not going to mention or juxtapose between other networks but I’m definitely not impressed at what Airtel is offering as “4g Network”
I'm in no way defending Airtel but no network is actually consistent in Nigeria... Besides the speed test you conducted uses a us server which is a relatively far location. It's not wrong in anyway but it's worth pointing out. Your result doesn't seem trustworthy. I'm almost certain that no 4g test will give that kind of result. The screenshot below is a 4g speed test I conducted just now using Airtel 4g
No lags of any sort in balanced mode even though the 5.1 plus ROM underclocks the processor to 1.8ghz. Also the few times have played on HD mode it worked pretty well
flexerking: how good is the pubg performance any frame drop ?
The device is pretty good. It's really really comfortable to hold. Camera isn't bad at all for it's price.performance is good too. The only place it's lacking is probably battery life but that's should be expected. Max screen on time I've gotten is about 6.5hrs. I play pupg often though
ityP: what is ur real life review of the Nokia x5?
This is not my first time of complaining about those "speed test". The truth is y9 is better than x6. I'm not saying that because I'm being biased, I didn't even watch the video instead I just went through it so i don't even know which phone won the "speed test" .I'm just pointing out an important fact that those "speed test" are flawed and depending on them to determine which phone is faster is not a very good thing to do.
OgidiOlu3: I'm sure you wouldn't have seen anything wrong with the video if the Y9 had beaten the X6 in the "speed test" flawlessly. In the end, what matters is the practical use of a phone and not the benchmark scores.
The fact that everyone does that doesn't make it correct. If you agree I don't think posting that video was the right thing to do since basically the method is flawed. At the end of the day benchmarks is the closest way of comparing SoCs
OgidiOlu3: I agree but that's the way speed tests are done now. Before, they used to be solely dependent on benchmark scores. Search speed tests for any two phones on Youtube and you'll see that what you get will be similar to the video I posted.
I got to tell you. That is not in anyway a comprehensive speed test.its not even a speed test .the processor has not really been tested. The only thing basically tested was ram management.
OgidiOlu3: The only advantage the Y9 has over the X6 is the battery. It's obvious you're a Y9 user so I don't blame your sentimental opinions. I don't use any of the phones but I prefer the X6. You said the Y9's design is better than the X6's? Ha! How do you choose mere plastic over a phone with Aluminium frame + glass back + dual led flash + Corning Gorilla glass 3 + FM radio + USB C + Android One (for nternational market) + 432 ppi density?
You said the Kirin 710 is way better than the Snapdragon 636. That may be true on paper but practically, they are about the same. Check out this speed test comparison on both.
The only thing option files tamper with is the team or club of a player. If you really want to correct the team names, you'll need to get a patch cos this is actually what "mess" with the game files.pye patch is your best bet as it is not heavy at all..it should be less than 300mb
Mustiboy: Is there anyway to download pes 2017 option file without having to download the while pes patch. I just want an option wherein the English league teams names have been corrected
True..you can clearly see the android one branding on the plus package while it being absent on the x series.but I think it's the plust that gives room for more ram..for example the x5 comes with 3gb ram;32gb ROM while the 5.1plus comes in two variant a 3gb as well as a 4gbram with 64gb storage
Drizzle007: For those of you that do not know the difference between the Nokia x series and the plus, let me make it clear. The nokia X series(x5, x6, x7) does not come with android one. That means no frequent security update and no update to a higher android version. Although the x series gives room for bigger ram option the plus doesn't. the android one program is the major difference between nokia x version and the nokia plus.
You say time is money but yet you still people pre-ordering for overpriced flagship device. Btw which is more expensive? the extra money you have to pay for a not so worthy device or the time you have to wait to get a better one for a lower price. The people who probably think time is money in this case are definitely not people who will buy these overpriced devices with inferior hardware because at the end of the day, when you weigh the risks and rewards, waiting pays better.
nonichuks: Time is money, people don't have that kind of time and that's just the beginning of why the option is not viable for many.
Is it now this same class of people that will buy these overpriced devices? What's waiting for a month compared to paying a huge amount of money for this devices. It's not as if Tecno and infinix don't have their own fair share of problems. It's mentality like this that still keeps us in the shackles of these phone manufacturers
nonichuks: You expect everyone, old young, rich, poor, market people, farmers, business people, our politicians and students etc to wait for Aliexpress to ship phones to them before they access a phone?
How is that feasible?
Meanwhile you've not even taken time to read the problems of Leagoo but you want people to try other unknown brands. You are wicked!
The nokia x5 sells about the same price on Ali express. The good news is they sell the 4gb variant for 157$ . I'm a tiny bit pained .if only I had done my research well.
