Yask2guy: Flashing back to those days in 2008 when i was admitted to study water resources management @UNAAB.
I initially registered for mech&civil engine and was intending to forfeit the admission for the nxt jamb but was advised by my family to go for the course.
I was actually convinced that i could change my course in year2 if i had a good grade, so i went for it.
I started knowing d value of the course the day i went for ma oral interview. The professors who interviewed me made me knw d relevance of the course and hw privileged i was to hav d chance to study the course. That was when i started giving interest. I searched through Google to find out more about the course and the future opportunities it has.
Although i was still intending to change ma course when i get to year2, i didn't study d course as if i wasn't interested but took all possible chances to know more about it.
When the second semester result for year1 was out, i had a very good result (infact the best in ma department) and i was very happy that i could change to civil engineering department. It was then i started knowing abt the difficulties behind changing a department. Some of which include: ur HOD won't want to release his best student; u will have to add some 100lvl courses u didn't do then to ur 200lvl courses which will add to ur load, u could hang along the line and lose @d end, and many more.
I thought of these hindrances for days and i decided to stay. Reason being that water is worth studying and i will be protecting the nature at the end. I came to think of it that water resources management was the hydrology aspect of civil engineering as it involves lot of engineering courses both core and borrowed (which was one of ma dreamed course). Infact i didn't know when i forgot about obtaining the change of department form. It was then i started enjoying the fun aspect of the course by engaging maself more with the interesting parts.
It was really God who directed me towards that path and am very grateful for the opportunity. Graduating with my grade was by God's grace because he supported me throughout.
So, am using this opportunity to plead to any of you, whom was given a course he/she has no interest in, not to decline it but should rather accept it, find out more about it and take it as a challenge to be the best at the end.

When the admission processes lingered in my head; I would sigh, then closed my two lips as if words would rush out of my mouth. Then, I would ruefully say 'ah, ah OMG'.

Sometimes, I would cry and would feel like "I should have, could have bla bla bla" but a question would overwhelm these-the question, "what if the gift of life had gone?".

Oh, the pain I feel most is these f**cking 365 days that will be added to my decades on earth. There's no need for 'sorry msgs' cos we can't draw back the hands of time.

Above all, have learnt to adopt the pace of our dear Nigeria and never to rely 'solely on grade'. I'm not gonna give in to defeat, the struggle 'continues'.

When a man is rejected; he becomes wiser and humbler. I'm pretty sure that sun will shine again. Tomorrow is promising like a promising child.

Oh; Oh God is with us like my name, Emmanuel implies, so close to us.

Unfortunately, I'm leaving the thread in this horrible mood, it's time to unfollow the thread.

Though u can'nt check transcript submission tru departnm bcus its nt transfer to such place.. Its received nd process in d registrar office/admin section. But now.. I don't tink dey can allow such anymore.. But u can still go and try ya luck mayb u can still check it against incoming list.

Xoxyl: to all that paid through zenith bank, most of us were not given any any receipt but what I know is that once you got an alert confirming your payment there is nothing to panic about. your teller will be changed to school receipt during registration.

Where do u hear dis? Its beta when u still have d tym nah to go bck to d bank and ask for it. Nobdy knws what it can be use for later... Am nt making anybdy to be panic/afraid...but its beta to be on d saver side.

Ya PIN is located on d reciept that d BANK gave u after ya payment.. Its under the Ref NO on d reciept slip.

majority of d pin start with 19xxxxxxxxx

Hearing dat d REF no will still be used to generate PIN to further d registration on funaab website when tym reach for furthering registration. Just clam and wait for further instruction on d registration process but makesure u have d bank reciept slip with U.

The best option is to take ya transcript go there ya self and make sure it reach d rite hand/desk esp u don't rush to submit it... U r to submit it towards admission tym else it can be misplace..
