Did you submit notarized copies to uni-assist yourself or know someone who did and it was accepted?
I don't want to waste over 10k on courier sending documents to uniassist only to be told to go and authenticate at the embassy again.
I need answers from people who have submitted their documents to uniassist either notarized or authenticated copies from the embassy so I can make an informed decision.

bunburized: I was at the german embassy yesterday to authenticate photocopies of my credentials so I can send them to uni-assist as well as german institutions I wish to apply for their masters programme as suggested by some members of this forum.
However, the person I met there insisted I show proof that I want to apply for admission to a german institution before they can "sight"/authenticate the documents.
It is either I haven't understood the procedures as directed by some people here or the man just wanted to be difficult.
He turned me back and requested I come back with proof before they can do anything.
Please house I need help and answers asap.
Firstly, what exactly constitute proof?
I need someone to explain what I need to do exactly as I am totally new to this.
I am yet to apply to any university but I want to send my documents to uniassist in time so they can evaluate my credentials before the admission into the summer programme begins.
I hope to go back there tomorrow so I need direction as to what I can do to have my documents autheticated at the embassy.

Just autheticate/certify ya documents in high court or any law court dat u knw and send it to uni-assist... Abi German embassy own different ni... In my own view oo.. I tink u can make use of certify copy in court

Check ur Trash Folder ... Deleted email will be there for a period of a month or more. Try and check it.. And if u didnt see it.. Contact the embassy with ur info.. They will help u cancle it

aflynvir: Hi all, had my interview today! 'twas a funny day. Yeah, met @samkunze! He knows my story but not al! I was driving from Ketu at 4:00am when the car I was driving climbed the BRT demarcator, so I was delayed for 2hrs mind and used my visa fees to tow the car out of the accident! The car was still okay. I parted with 11k total to tow vehicle and agberos. Somebody thinks this is a joke. 'twas out of my visa fee! Now I got to embassy by 7:45 due to the serious mess. Our Igbo friend at the gate was about to write LATE on my appointment letter when he changed his mind that he will try whether the visa old woman will still accept me! He sent security inside. Later he got an intercom call and looked at me and said you are lucky. That was like past 9, some other people that were late had been bounced. When you are bounced, sorry! That's all! I got to reception! It was a black guy that wa there so he asked are you the one that was late, I said yes! He sha collected my rzzxodocs. Then later the old white woman came for me! REMEMBER I HAD SPEND 11k out of it. Then she asked of money I started telling stories! She shouted "what! You should have told me earlier and I've registered you. I will cancel it and that's all for your appointment and all days have been booked in October" I was calm and God gave me confidence so I her that she should pls find a way out of it, after we argued she agreed to pay for me BUT HELD MY PASSPORT AND RECEIPT till tomorrow when I bring the money and wrote a note as gate pass! She then did biometrics and interview. He wasn't smiling but I must say she saved my day! That made her nice. Then she was like "what of if everybody does the same thing will she pay for everybody" I thanked her more. He asked EXACTLY THE SAME QUESTIONS POSTED ON THE FORUM, so thanks to TOPE, GODSON and all other NL peeps! This is not fiction o! I met @samkunze! 'twas just tragedy that became miracle. I will go and pay the German lady tomorrow.

As per housing for someone going for short course, talk to your
school. They'll give you options. If not, search for short let around the city, you'll see some...

Going to Germany to study german lang, hmnnn e get as e be ooo.
My advice, let it not be for german course alone, let's say you're on leave,
wanna go Germany, then take up the lang course....

As per visit visa, YOU must present a receipt from the hotel that shows
You've paid for the booking. Failure to do so, you aint gonna be interviewed.

Above all, if you package your docus well, German embassy is one of the best I've seen
Around. The guys there are friendly and answer your mails almost immediately!

2.Just make the reservation, on hold and yes they would have cancelled it b4 the visa would be issued but dont worry you can always get another one, and it wont affect your application. AND IT WONT AFFECT THE INSURANCE TOO; BUT ONCE YOUR VISA IS GRANTED MAKE SURE THE TICKET YOU WILL PURCHASE HAS THE SAME DAY THE INSURANCE IS COMMENCING.

3. She will be given the amt of days the course will last, and maybe a day for packing. if the course is for 7weeks dont request for 3months, makes the application suspicious. just fill the number of days u would use and a day for packing.
And since she will be paying, try and have enough reasons why she wants to go instead of using goethe institute, cause thats what the VO will lay emphasis on.

4. Am in bayreuth in bayern region, and i dont have any idea about hotels here am sorry.

beebee5000: Travel health insurance should be included in your application and the date should correspond with the departure date you have on your flight reservation. This is compulsory. take note.

2. Just choose any airline and make a reservation with them, the reservation shows your flight itinery( you can do this online, a day b4 your interview.)
3. i Dont know about this as my case the school provided accomodation for me. so i didnt include hotel booking or payments in my application.

Is your sister on a scholarship for the 7weeks language intensive training? or paying for it?

1. Still on the issurance issue, that means she is going to pay for the issurance b4 d visa given for 3mnth?

2. On flight reservation issue, i had it will be terminated a day or two depending on type of airline without payment. Wont dis affect the issurance date dat has been early calculated on the reservation... In which the visa will still takeup to 10 or more days to be granted & flight can't still be pay for at that time?

3. She will be paying for the course on her own... And pls how many month visa will she be given with this kind course duration?

4. The school is nt providing accomadation for her... And hotel for this duration will be expensive as am looking at it now? So which state are u? And do u have any idea on how she can get accomadation for the duration even if she will still stay in hotel for like 5days?

After the booking.. Will they request for payment ? Or is it when she arrive she will pay? And also will she be able to secure proper accomadation rather than hotel for duration of 2.5mnth for the course b4 the 3days hotel over bcus of the hotel expensive bill?

Bro@Godson... Thanks for ya helping hand so far.. As am getting ready for my interview so also am helping in preparing my lil sis documents for a short term visa application but on sum areas of the checklist document then confusion set in..
1. Travel health issurance---> Though i knw that of long term that.. Its after visa ready sumone will nid it... But confuse on dis short term maybe it will be included in d application b4 visa ready?

2. Flight reserveration/or copy of flight ticket including returning---> Any idea on how to go abt dis?
