TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Tamax: 12:35pm On Aug 04, 2019
Thank you Sir/ Ma for your response, I actually heard about the outrageous increase in accommodation too in Hannover and I think I have no other option than to dance to the tune. I believe that God will provide for me and my helpers to overcome this. Now my issue now is that should I reach Hannover first before I secure or look for any accommodation?

On the signing of contract issue now, I will not sign anything until i step my foot on Germany soil to be on a safer side as you have advised.

What is your advise for me now, I might land in Germany latest second week of October 2019. How should I go about this accommodation. N.B I don't know anything about it. All I have done so far is the registration with studentenwerk Hannover and have not receive any response from them till now since June 12 2019. Thank you

Immafrank:
Accommodation can be very scare and slightly expensive in Hannover especially this winter semester where lots of students are coming in. A friend of mine is currently paying 450 euros monthly........

Thank you. I'm grateful smiley
NijaDueprocess:
My tip is if you have to sign any accommodation contract be sure you are going to stay there.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Tamax: 12:18pm On Aug 04, 2019
Now, I'm more confused. What exactly should i do now? I have not even gotten any accommodation talk less of signing contract. I don't even know what to do on this accommodation stuff... Like I don't know how to go about it and also I don't know anyone over there. Please just give me an insight, should I just reach Hannover first before I secure or look for any accommodation or what? Just explain it like ABC to me. Danke

sassy92:
Germans take contracts very seriously so......
Remember DO NOT SIGN UNTIL YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU ARE STAYING THERE.

Good morning Sir/Ma, i will be going to Hannover this winter by God grace. I have registered with their Studentenwerk Hannover since June but i don't know what to do next. Is it advisable to get to Germany before getting this accommodation sorted? N.B I have not been interviewed yet for visa thou I'll be going for that this mid August also my program start October 1st with enrollment deadline of September 30th. Please I need enlightenment on this accommodation stuff as I read here that someone must not sign any housing or accommodation contract while still in Nigeria. Please help a brother out of this accommodation stuff. Thanks.

shocked Including those that have their visum at hand ? Do you mean embassy will give people visa in old BA rate now and the foreign office on entry to Germany starting from 1st of September 2019 will request for top up to 10k plus before any paper works? Bro I don't seems clear with your assumption. I think it was clearly started that it will be effective from Jan 2020 and also those submitting application for visa come 1st September 2019. Please I'm confused with all this. The money thing is not easy oo cry seriously speaking. I believe you know that.

Lammydamsel:
He is right sir, from Sept. 2019 onwards, if you want to extend your Visa the foreign office will ask for €10,350.

[quaote author=Tamax post=80570113]I disagreed with u Sir/Ma. This increment will only be effective starting from January 2020 as it as been stated and also to any one submitting application for visa come 1st of September 2019. So I'm sure anyone going to DE this winter having submitted visa application before September 1 2019 will be exempted and he or she will be able to unblock and do other paper works on arrival in DE.

I believe everything will end well with us all by God grace smiley
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Tamax: 12:05pm On Jul 24, 2019
Yes exactly bro/sis, the result checker card is not an issue. I got for the two result already. Just the certificate is my concern for now. I wouldn't know if anybody as done his or her interview with statement of result for Olevel or result print out with checking card provided?

Thanks for your response bro/sis

Fabcol:
Personally I would advise you source funds and get the certificates. Tho I have seen cases of people that used result print out.. And since you would be using two results means you would get two result checker cards

dailydolar:
this thing is very clear there's nothing to ask the €10,236 starts from September 1st and winter starts by that same time so what confusing it's very simple if U block €8,640 now U will definitely get your visa but U might not be able to get your work and resident permit if them no see the new rate so if you get money do the new rate and move ahead mind you some of the VO's don't even know anything about all his.
Hope this help
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Tamax: 10:21am On Jul 23, 2019
Good morning bro, can I use statement of result (NECO ) for he visa interview? I am yet to collect the certificates due to fund because I'm using 2 settings result and to collect the 2 result certificate require a lot of money now considering other expenses on this way to DE. Thanks

Fabcol:
Transcript is not a major requirement for visa application but if you want to go with it then you have to break the seal.. I went with mine.

Waec certificate is what they mean by secondary school certificate...so if u dont v that, go collect it ASAP

Background colour for the passport should be white... The size of the photograph should be 36mmx45mm. The height from top to bottom face should be between 32- 36mm.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Tamax: 11:21am On Jul 17, 2019
That's exactly 3weeks and 3 days. Wow that's super fast. This your shared testimony just increased my hope and rest of mind because I was given 27 August for AD and my enrollment deadline which require my valid visa page copy is 30 September and my school said they can't extend the deadline if need arise, that I should try to meet up with the deadline as rge case maybe. That as got me thinking since, I just put all into God's hands... I believe with God all things are possible. I need super speed too smiley

When did you now send your BA confirmation since you didn't submitted it when you had your interview?

overdose4g:
So booked around June and got Sept 4 initially because I put October as my visit date.

I cancelled and put august as my visit date, I got June 17th AD

AM came out July 11th.

Everything happened fast. Grace I must say.

Please can you guild me rightly on using this studierendewerk to get accommodation please? I have registered but don't i know what next to do. Thanks

Adhheir:
Have you tried studierendenwerk Hamburg? You should have started the hunt before july bro. They sent mails to folks they're reserving spaces for last month and they've sent another for fee payment with deadline this month. See If you can still register with them first then extend your search.

Bro, what is it like in Hannover? My semester fee is around €410. Men it got me thinking oo.

pompido:
Update for those who might be considering Kiel as a destination....

Semester ticket has now been increased to 256 Euros but it now covers the whole Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg!

This opens up a lot of opportunities regarding where to live and work.

You can live on the outskirts of Kiel where rent is cheap and work in Hamburg where job offers abound while not worrying about transportation costs.

The good times are here cheesy

What about Hannover bro or sis?

University of Bonn is another great Uni. I wouldn’t reject an offer from them to be honest. I don’t know about the course, never heard of it. Like I said in my previous quotes. Bonn is a great city with UN Campus and prestigious DHL hqtrs. I can connect u to some people in the city.

Schönes Wochenende!

Thanks boss. I fully understand now. Thou I will PM you if need arise. I'm grateful

Obinnafrancis:
No not in Naira. U have to source your Euros from Aboki people . No Nigerian bank get time to give u euros these days. See what I did. Have the exact amount in ur naira account with Access bank. Then take aboki people to the bank and do the business there for your own security and also to avoid being given counterfeit. Euros get counterfeit ooo. Be very careful. Fill ur transfer form and put aboki account number and aboki will give the bank the exact money in euros. The business is done and everyone will be happy. I hope u understand. If ur still confused, then pm me make I give ur number and explain it well to u.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 9:10am On Jul 02, 2019
I think you should quote @Obinnafrancis

Adeolamikaay:
Nice one here. Sorry to cut in, I hope there's no limitations for funds transfer from access Euro account and secondly which block account did you used? Because fintiba doesn't accept transfer from Nigeria. Thanks boss
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 9:04am On Jul 02, 2019
Thank you Sir/Ma. The explanation is well understood by me. I am grateful.

NijaDueprocess:
. Stay away from cbn form A. Nigeria banks are scammers. They promise you cbn exchange rate for form A and use a rate higher than black market at the end. You can use any other means but not form A. The truth is that banks use your form A to source for funds from cbn at cbn exchange rate then sell it to you at a rate higher than aboki rate and still charge you bank charges.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 8:45am On Jul 02, 2019
Thanks, I am grateful for this tip. I will use them judiciously. I pray God will continue to bless you and all other contributors here.

Deustchemann:
I clearly understand now. The school wants to see your visa. Hmm. It's simple. If you see that the deadline is approaching and the embassy is yet to send AM, you can request for an extension from the school stating that the embassy is still working on your visa
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 11:44pm On Jul 01, 2019
Thanks bro, u have been helpful. Apart from this aboki, any other better means?

seungold1929:
Usually, it is advisable to buy from aboki(mallam)
Take them to the bank to ensure you're not buying fake
After the money has been deposited to your euro account, you can then forward the naira equivalent to them(mallam)
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 11:28pm On Jul 01, 2019
Thanks bro, I am grateful. Payment into my Acc in Naira or what means do you use to pay into the euro Acc before u transfer to you block account? Thanks once again.

Obinnafrancis:
@Tamax......I Used Access bank. It's simple and straight. Open a domiciliary account with the bank(Euro account). Pay into the account then make ur transfer to ur account in Germany.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 10:34pm On Jul 01, 2019
Congratulations in advance bro, your AM and visa will come soft by God grace.

Please how do you get your blocked account funded easily bro? This is the stage I am being careful about now with all I have read here. Please I need to be guided. Thanks

Obinnafrancis:
Thanks Fabcol. U na boss.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 10:24pm On Jul 01, 2019
Good evening to you all, please my sponsor intend to use bank transfer from here to fund my block account, which of the bank can you advise to use for this as regard the CBN form A stuff for normal CBN exchange rate that I won't regret over since he is not interested in opening an Euro account. Please kindly advise. Thanks
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 5:24pm On Jul 01, 2019
@Deustchemann kindly reply my q. Thanks

Tamax:
What a clear and superb analysis. You got my courage increased bro. Anyway I will get the BA funded by God Grace before the visa interview date but for the enrollment, the school already sent me the enrollment form plus other documents by post but I will have to return the enrollment form filled with photo copy of my valid student visa on my passport by post before 30 September to be enrolled. Only document I think i can hold along is only the payment receipt for that semester fee that's if i pay it before the interview date but there will be no enrollment certificate as valid visa is require for me to be enrolled. Why I am somehow thinking of the date not too close to the enrollment deadline with this visa duration issue of 4-6weeks or beyond. Seems the embassy might still end up requesting for enrollment deadline extension from this point of view or what you thinking? Thanks for your time and effort.

N.B: Check the attached screenshot on the enrollment deadline and others.

Deustchemann:
Thank you for the kind words. God bless you too.
Your interview date is not bad at all.
If I were in your shoes, I'll do my enrolment before Interview, and take my enrolment Certificate (I believe the school will send that) along with other documents for my interview. I guess that can expedite the processing of the visa. Also, I'll ensure I go to the interview with either a fully blocked account or sponsorship letter.
If all goes well, between 25-30 September, AM will drop. Since you've already enrolled, embassy won't ask for enrolment extension. After AM, send the documents immediately and get your visa under 1 week. Travel and resume to your school.

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 10:55pm On Jun 30, 2019
Thanks bro, I will get that done this week and feed you feel back. One love.

seungold1929:
The price depends on the address you want the embassy to send it to.
For example: if you live in Ikoyi, you might purchase it for #500, while someone that lives at egbeda will purchase for #1200.
When you get to their office you would be told the price, you can also bargain.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 10:38pm On Jun 30, 2019
You're wonderful with your responses bro. Infact you amazed me. Thanks. I pray God reward you bountifully.

So let say my enrollment deadline line is 30 September, visa interview 25 August and I must send my enrollment documents with valid visa page photocopy on or before 30 September to complete my enrollment to the school. On a norm from what I read here and from what you said now. Visa can take up to 4 to 6 weeks or beyond after the interview. Am I at safer ends now to go on with this visa interview in this late August ? What's your look on this? Is it not too close to the enrollment? Will I meet up with the enrollment? This are questions running through my head now. Thanks

Deustchemann:
It depends.
If you didn't submit your proof of sustenance before AM came and you are asked to bring it alongside the other documents, it will take some time to verify, especially if it's SL.

But on a norms, if you submitted everything at interview, you should get your visa at most 2 weeks after you submit the requested documents in the AM. There might be few exceptions to this tho. But for most people, this applied

Yes, AM guarantees visa approval. It's what we term as Approval Mail. So it's as good as saying your visa application has been approved.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Tamax: 10:10pm On Jun 30, 2019
Thanks for your well explained response. I'm grateful smiley

Also what is the interval BTW when AM drop and actual time one get the Visa ? And does AM guaranteed Visa issuance? Just estimated duration is ok by me. Thanks

Deustchemann:
I'll advise you pay your semester fee before the deadline. You can choose to pay it before or after your interview. It doesn't have any effect on your interview. If your interview is late August and AM comes within 4-6 weeks, September might have elapsed by then... So it's risky to wait till you get visa.
In the event of a visa rejection, your semester fee will be refunded.

I think it depends on your location
