Business / Re: Devaluation To Push First Bank Towards BANKRUPTCY!!! by Tantoluwa(m): 1:33pm On May 15, 2016
Na wa o! Nigerians and their nonsensical irrational attitudes sha. Chai. Simple article is so hard for these nairalanders to read or understand. Analyst has said his own and we are all jumping up and down to claim withdrawing our 2k in the bank will pull down the bank! Na wa o. All banks are exposed to this issues plaguing our dear father and motherland. And Rencap are just one group of analysts. What of the other even more formidable and credible companies that have said Firstbank's fundamentals are strong and there is nothing to worry about? Let's stop these panic comments that end up doing us more harm and no good? #Secondbasejoor!

Hello icebeatz. The issue has to do with the enforcement of use of SecureCode (second-level authentication) when doing transactions on some merchant websites. A temporary activation code has been sent to each MasterCard cardholder's registered email address. If you have not been able to retrieve it, please call FirstContact on 01-4485000 or send them an email firstcontact@firstbanknigeria.com and request that they resend the temporary activation code in order for you to generate your SecureCode which you can then use to make payment. Please check your "junk mail box" as well for the temporary activation code. The SecureCode is a tool for securing customers' funds while transacting online. I hope this is helpful. Good luck and do enjoy your trip. Please be sure to take your FirstBank MasterCard with you to America so you can enjoy seamless transactions everywhere you go! Happy Eid holidays!

Hello Sagator. The way you have described this transaction, it appears it has been put on lien; that is, it is in what you understand to be your ledger balance. In this instance, it will take seven (7) days for the lien to be automatically removed and the fund made available to spend. I hope this response has been useful. If you would like any further clarification, don't hesitate to send an email to firstcontact@firstbanknigeria.com. Alternatively, you may tweet @firstbanknigeria. Cheers
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: First Bank Pays Off It's Staff And Converts Them To Contract by Tantoluwa(m): 11:14am On Jul 27, 2014
Most companies in Nigeria are migrating from terminal gratuity to the contributory pension scheme in line with the laws that established the Pension Commission. But that doesn't make all Nigerian companies following the laid down laws of the land contract staff employers. Contributing to a law-backed pension scheme and yet having to pay huge gratuities for its staff will definitely weigh heavily on staff costs for any organization. I don't consider what firstbank has done a case of making all its staff contract staff. Ejibaba, stop spreading rumors jor and stop unnecessarily creating negativity out of thin air. If you are only aware of firstbank now, y don't u take the time to find out what others are doing first?

The difference between the gold, silver and standard numbers is just that those numbers are ones that apparently have higher take up rates than others. As per the numbers, they will basically be ready by October if what the company's people said at the launch of the 0809uchoose is anything to go by. i would say maybe around mid october tho
