Don't know their name APC liars. They have the habit of promising what they cannot do.
chiangwar: An open letter to Mr President as he comes to Edo state to campaign for his re-election.
January 16, 2019
His Excellency, President M. Buhari, Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.
Your Excellency,
Two years after, Central Hospital still under Lock and Key
Compliments of the season.
In November 2018 when we heard you were coming to pay a working visit to Edo state, we issued a press release. The press release was essentially to remind you that over 2 years ago, the then Governor , Adams Aliyu Oshiomole invited you to commission a so-called "5star hospital" built and purportedly equipped by his administration. Unfortunately, you cancelled the visit.
Just this morning, we were informed you will be coming on Thursday, 17th January and the only way we can talk to you is by writing you this brief letter.
We believe it will be of interest to you to know that since your visit in 2016, the "5star hospital" has neither recorded any out-patient, nor admitted any in-patient. The building hosts only rodents and reptiles.
It is now obvious that Governor Adams Oshiomole cleverly executed the project as a scam to defraud the state and deny the people access to good health facilities, a situation that has led to hundreds of avoidable deaths.
Our concern over this despicable act, Mr. President, is not just that billions of taxpayers' money was sunk into this phoney project, but you were persuaded to commission a non existent hospital that makes it look like you were party to the deceit and fraud.
While Edo people are now used to the fact that Adams Oshiomhole can do anything to deceive the people to enrich himself, we are embarrassed at the attempt to use your person to commission a building that has only served as a center for internally displaced reptiles in Benin City as well as a conduit pipe for milking Edo state and its people.
Finally, Mr. President we urge you to pay a second visit to the central Hospital to enable you appreciate the disappointment of the people over this central Hospital scandal of fraud and deceit. We call on you to use your office to direct relevant government agencies to commence immediate investigation and necessary action to bring the principal actors to book.
Kindly prevail on Edo State government to avail Edo people the dividends of democracy, particularly in the health sector.
Frank to Buhari: Don’t set Nigeria ablaze over CJN, Onnoghen
Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has described the devious effort by President Muhammadu Buhari to topple the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen, as being akin to igniting an incendiary material that would completely ravage the country if not immediately reversed.
Frank who gave this admonition in a statement in Abuja, said the cancerous Buhari administration has resorted to a fast-track in their efforts to finally put Nigeria to social, political and economic ruination which they commenced on May 29, 2015.
He said: “This is a supposedly democratic government but they are totally averse to the rule of law. Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, Deji Adeyanju and Dino Melaye, just to mention but a few, are today languishing in jail in varied subhuman conditions following the hostile and anti-people policies being executed by Buhari and his Cabal.
“Buhari and his cabal have done everything outside the law to whittle down the powers of the National Assembly through spurious charges against and trial of their presiding officers and other lawmakers and his criminal refusal to assent to critical bills like the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill and the Electoral Act 2010 Amendment Bill.
“Buhari has refused to replace ministers that have left his government thereby denying critical sections of the country of any form of representation in the Federal Executive Council as required by law.
“Buhari has illegally ensured that all heads of security agencies in the country are of northern extraction against the letters and spirit of the Federal Character Principle as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Buhari has also advanced his parochial act of governance by ensuring that all the Service Chiefs who are overdue for retirement have their tenures elongated thereby frustrating the career progression of serving military personnel - a situation that has torpedoed morale in the Officer cadre and consequently serious and dangerous reversals in the gains made in the fight against insurgency and other dangerous criminal elements across the country. He is right now seeking legal opinion on how to extend the tenure of the Inspector General of Police whose tenure has since expired - in flagrant breach of extant laws.
“Of all his hateful, lawless rhetoric and his 97/5% nepotistic ideology, he is again desperate to remove a serving CJN - who is no where near his retirement age - based sentiments which are largely religious and ethnic. Enough is enough!
“Today Nigerian students in Universities and Polytechnics across the country are languishing at home due to strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities and their polytechnic counterparts due to the lackadaisical approach to education by the administration.
“Besides, N30,000 minimum wage bill is no where near the National Assembly for passage into law in favour of the suffering Civil Servants in the country. Rather than fast-track the presentation and passage of the Bill, Buhari has vowed to renegotiate salaries of public servants earning above N30,000.
“This is a government of destruction and not of development,” he stated.
He warned Buhari and his cabal to immediately retrace their step and back-off, as the illegality they have chosen to undertaken by removing the CJN may spark unfathomable resistance from the overly marginalized sections of the country capable of determining if indeed the nation will remain one indivisible country as presently composed under his regime.
He called on the International Community to hold Buhari and his Cabal responsible for any breach of the peace which may result from their tyrannical and sadistic actions against the CJN and other Nigerians suffering from persecution under this regime.
“Nigerians are fully ready to defend their country. Enough is enough!” he stated.

The UN and common wealth leaders should really look into Buhari's use of Autonomous power to disrespect our legislatures and core leaders in the country, this is becoming alarming and a threat to our democracy.
deepumpin: OPEN LETTER TO THE UNITED NATIONS SECRETARY-GENERAL
The Secretary/General of the United Nations H.E. António Guterres Thru: UN's Abuja Office Diplomatic Drive Central Business Area Area 1, Garki Abuja.
Sir,
BUHARI AND THREATS TO NIGERIA’S DEMOCRACY
Once again, I write to draw your attention to the tyrannical and undemocratic conducts of agents of the present administration in Nigeria, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, which if not urgently checked, can lead to the abortion of the 2019 general elections and irretrievably scuttle the nation’s hard earned democracy. On Tuesday, the world woke up to a horrendous report of massive security crackdown against the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu. The residences of the two presiding officers of the Senate were put under siege by security forces acting on orders from the presidency.
The siege on the residences of Saraki and Ekweremadu has continued to receive widespread condemnation from Nigerians who see it as a return of jackboot dictatorship reminiscent of military regimes in the country. This is why I want to urge the United Nations not only to condemn the crackdown against opposition figures and perceived political enemies in the country, ahead of the 2019 general elections, but to lead other world leaders including the G-7 nations, European Union, African Union and the Economic Community of West African States to stop the ongoing security crackdown on opposition figures and wanton abuse of the fundamental human rights of Nigerians irrespective of their political persuasions.
Permit me to state that the resort to the use of security forces to advance political interests by this administration, if not checked, may sooner than later cascade the entire country into a vortex of cataclysmic political struggle capable of tearing the economy into shreds, truncate democracy and lead to unimaginable hardship for the already pauperized and traumatized masses of this country.
May I also state that the UN must act urgently to protect democracy in Nigeria and safeguard the precious lives of countless opposition political actors. This is in view of allegations that certain people are considered to be in opposition to the re-election bid of Mr. President in 2019. Hence the Government is believed to have mapped out plans to suppress and, at the extreme, eliminate them. This may appear to be an unconfirmed report but as the saying goes, there is no smoke without fire. The names of the perceived enemies of government include the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, whose residences were on Tuesday besieged by the police in Abuja, among others.
Recall that the National Chairman of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (RAPC), Engineer Buba Galadinma and his son were recently involved in a road mishap. It is telling that the accident occurred shortly after the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole openly boasted that he was going to “crush him.” The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, have continued to voice out grave concerns about the their personal safety. Also on the watch list is a frontline member of the RAPC, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje and Senator Dino Melaye, whose convoy was recently attacked by security forces in Kogi State.
Tuesday's barbaric attempt to use security forces to create a lacuna in the Senate in order to force a leadership change was a coup against democracy in the country. It also underscores the level of desperation by the present administration to silence the legislative arm of government which is condemnable. The illegal deployment of heavily armed security forces to detain and muzzle highly placed opposition figures, both within the ruling APC and the PDP also amounts to a denial of their inalienable rights to freedom of association and to hold opinion which are guaranteed by the nation’s Constitution and several international charters, to which Nigeria is a proud signatory.
Permit me to say that Nigeria deserves the protection and every help possible from the international community to sustain its democracy, protect fundamental rights of citizens and above all to prevent it from imminent disintegration. The threat against Nigeria’s democracy is an open secret. I call on the UN all allies of Nigeria to rise to her defence and help to contain it. The UN and leaders of the free world owe it a duty to Nigeria as a good standing member of the Common Wealth and comity of nations, to help prevent this looming political catastrophe before it snowballs out of control as fears abound that the situation will degenerate further.
Please accept the assurances of my highest regards.
God bless Nigeria.
Yours sincerely,
Comrade Timi Frank Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC timifrank40@gmail.com 07033555555
This is a gross violation of our rule of law, since Buhari's inception into democracy he has done nothing than to mar it, the democracy that our heroes gave their lives to establish.Nigerians, home and abroad lets rise up and fight for our democracy that is at verge of collapsing by the clueless APC members.
effiongJo: This in undemocratic of the President everyday he prove Nigerians right the he just a mere dictator in civilians dressing
APC has no positive impact on our democracy since their inception, they had only demonstrated violence and malicious act against the opposition party. This is why we all have to get our PVCs to vote them out in 2019.
jesica22: This is unacceptable in a government claimed to be representing democracy, Why must the governor of Adamawa state insisting for the removal even after subscribing for the vacant positions of bill-board placement, it is undemocratic and an act of democratic animocity
In congratulating Sarki, PMB and his entire party also owe him an apology for defaming his integrity and political carer. PMB should desist from the act of hijacking alleged fraudsters without being prosecuted by the court, it is unconstitutional and undemocratic. He is the president of Nigeria, he should act like one.
chuksjames1: Buhari and his administration are so bitter, Why so much hate? Why so much pain? a simple congratulatory message is not a big deal, why making it look unhappy.
Congratulations in advance to all the awardees, they have done extremely well in their area of designation.

These are the kind of people we need in our country, people who are ready to give back to the society, not the ones that are concerned about their pockets, Bayelsa State is indeed blessed to have such kind hearten people.
lakabush: This s a great achievement by the first lady. She is well commended for a job well done.
Keep up the good work sir, you're really transforming Bayelsa state
BayelsaLegacy: Irish Ambassador Visits Bayelsa, Attributes High Oil Output To Stability In Niger Delta; Restates Preparedness To Partner Int’l Community On Oil & Gas
Bayelsa State Government is to sign a Global Memorandum of Understanding with Shell Petroleum Development Company, (SPDC) on the Gbarain/Ubie Gas plant, a multi-billion dollar project, which is the largest investment in Africa.
Speaking while receiving the Irish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Sean Hoy in Government House, Yenagoa, the State Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (Rtd), expressed the Government’s preparedness to partner the international community, in seeking ways the state can benefit maximally from the oil and gas industry.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Francis Ottah Agbo, quoted the Deputy Governor as lamenting the non-participation of Bayelsans in the oil and gas industry, which he said was a major cause of agitations in the Niger Delta area.
Rear Admiral John Jonah, who noted that, "we are not carried along in the oil and gas industry, emphasized that, the Niger Delta peoples’ participation in the industry is almost zero."
The Deputy Governor, who lauded the Irish envoy’s efforts to prevail on oil companies towards giving the Niger Delta people a fair share of the oil proceeds, said the state government would liaise with them, in resolving issues with the multinational oil firms.
Describing the devastation to the environment caused by the activities of oil companies as enormous and unquantifiable, Rear Admiral John Jonah said, a study is being carried out by experts on the extent of damage to the environment and the people.
The Deputy Governor, who sought the collaboration of Ireland in the development of the Agge Deep sea port, education and Eco-Industrial park to build an economy beyond oil, also urged the international community to monitor the forthcoming general elections nationwide.
In his remarks, the Irish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Sean Hoy, said they were in Bayelsa to interact with the state government and its people at the grassroots, as regards security issues.
Mr. Hoy, who commended the state government for its efforts at sustaining peace, attributed the high oil production level to the current stability in the Niger Delta.
"I was here in August, 2016. My predecessor never came to this area because he was afraid of insecurity and I believe that, if you are afraid insecurity, you will never learn.
"It is important for us to understand the dynamics of the Niger Delta. This is the economic heart of Nigeria. I want to congratulate all those involved in stabilizing that situation because Nigeria is now almost at peak production in terms of oil production on a daily basis.
On next year’s general elections, Mr Hoy said a team of international observers would be involved in monitoring the elections as well as provide support to promote a free, fair and peaceful polls.
In his contribution, an official the Missionary Attaché in the Irish Embassy, Father Kevin O'Hara, stressed the need for oil companies to adopt international standards in their operations in the Niger Delta.
Father O'Hara said he has been interfacing with communities in the Niger Delta, called on oil companies to improve their relations with host communities to bring about lasting peace and stability.
"Very soon SPDC is going to sign a GMoU with Gbarain/Ekpetiama cluster communities. This is the biggest multi-million dollar project in Africa in your backyard. Therefore your people should be benefitting very well."
Well done sir, if all our leaders are working the way you're working our nation will be a better place by now, the people Bayelsa are to have you as their proud leader. God bless you sir.
lakabush: This is a well recommendable achievement by the Governor,to help the state enhance his productive output on workforce in the state.
Nigeria is at the verge of intervention, innocent lives are being wasted on a daily basis, this mindlessness and inhumanity has to stop. The present government is not doing anything reasonable about it.
SteveAde123: OPEN LETTER TO THE UNITED NATIONS SECRETARY-GENERAL
The Secretary/General of the United Nations
H.E. António Guterres
Thru: UN's Abuja Office
Diplomatic Drive Central Business Area Area 1, Garki Abuja.
Sir,
A CALL FOR URGENT INTERVENTION TO STOP ONGOING ETHNIC CLEANSING AND GENOCIDE IN NIGERIA
It has become imperative for me to once again bring to your attention the continuous mass murder of innocent Nigerians by Fulani Herdsmen without required mitigation from the present administration in the country. The tension between Fulani herdsmen and farming communities has existed for many years. However, there has been a dramatic upswing in recent time with increasing brutal attacks and gruesome killings on a daily basis. The impunity and brutality with which the assailants operate, without regard to law and sanctity of life, is both shocking and appalling. It is however surprising to note that the government of the day which was elected in an unprecedented public approval in 2015, has not deemed it necessary to summon the political will and courage to forge a lasting solution to the violence. The nation's security is on a free float while Nigerians are being killed in their native communities where they have dwelled for ages.
You are no doubt aware that Fulani herdsmen have been acknowledged by the global community as the fourth deadliest Terror Group in the world. ‘Fulani militants' as they have come to be known are daily visiting deaths on innocent farmers who dare challenge them after their farms have been ravaged by cattle. For the singular reason that they want their cattle to graze on other people's farmland, they kill and maim natives. Therefore, lives and property are perpetually endangered across the country as I write.
Curiously however, the government of the day has refused to declare the group as a terrorist organization, as a way of bringing permanent closure to their bloodletting activities. Another worrisome dimension to this orgy of violence is the fact that President Muhammadu Buhari has consistently defended them as a group that merely carry sticks and machetes. However, to the contrary, eyewitnesses report that the Fulani militants are usually armed with sophisticated weapons and often attack their victims when they are most vulnerable, such as midnights, church services and burial ceremonies. They have consistently visited and brutally killed predominantly Christian natives in the North Central Region including some parts of the South and North of the country.
Notable Nigerians have spoken against the killings while the Federal Government has remained silent in the face of increasing loss of human lives. Elder statesmen like former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Gen. Theophilus Danjuma have decried the deteriorating security situation in the country in recent time. However, their admonition for the Executive to step up action to curb the killings has largely fell on deaf ears. As you may be aware, Obasanjo and Danjuma are men of high integrity and requisite knowledge, especially as it relates to security matters, having spent years in the army and risen to the peak of their military careers.
Gen. T.Y Danjuma was quoted as saying that: "You must rise to protect yourself from these people; if you depend on the Armed Forces to protect you, you will die. I ask all of you to be on alert and defend your country, defend your state." He made the above comments in the face of unnecessary killings which according to him is akin to an act of ethic cleansing being perpetuated against the people of Taraba State, specifically, and Nigeria at large. He further insisted that the military is complicit in the killings.
Besides, in a bid to prompt the government to take action to stop the herders' murderous activities, a human rights activist, Femi Falana (SAN), had filed a case of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Fulani herdsmen and the continued massacre of innocent people and farmers in Jukun in Taraba, at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Hague and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court. This has not yielded the desired result which is to stop the killings.
Let me state categorically that majority of Nigerians have no knowledge of any effort presently being made by this government to stop these wanton killings and large scale destruction of property by the Fulani militants, aside emergency deployment of military and police personnel to affected areas long after the militants have complete their murderous assignments. The knee-jerk approach being presently adopted by the government in reaction to increasing loss of valuable lives has given credence to notions that the security lapses leading to massive deaths in the country is as a result of executive fraud and corruption in high places. For example, so much has been budgeted for security in the last three years without concomitant results in adequate protection and safety for citizens. From all indications, it is apparent that the government of the day is sympathetic to the cause of the Fulani herdsmen. The fundamental purpose of government is the protection of lives and property. That has been jettisoned by the present administration. The lives of citizens are no longer of value to President Buhari and his men, just as there appears to have been total collapse of governance in Nigeria in the last three years.
I dare say that the United Nations cannot stand aloof and watch human lives being wasted on such gargantuan scale as being witnessed daily in Nigeria, due largely to the failure of government to rise to the occasion and stem the tide; by doing the needful to safeguard the lives of its own people. I therefore, call on the United Nations and the G7 countries such as the United States of America, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom to come to Nigeria's aid before it is too late. We as Nigerians have lost confidence in our security outfits, especially the military as they have shown complicity in the killings going on in Nigeria. Questions begging for answers are: Why have they not been able to prevent the attacks, make arrest and prosecute the killers? These attacks are being carried out for hours and no single suspect has been prosecuted? I therefore call on the United Nations and other world powers to make their own private findings as to what is going on in Nigeria as it relates to security matters. As it is, if we don’t get intervention in good time, there may not be Nigeria in the nearest future.
PMB, should know that no matter what tactics he use to threaten PDP, Nigerians will not vote him back for second term.
UcheSecondus: FOLLOWING what he perceived as a clampdown on opposition by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressive Congress (APC) federal government, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has expressed the readiness of all the party leaders to go to jail and has therefore challenged the president to come for them.
His declaration came at the heels of the arrest and detention of former Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam by the Department of State Security (DSS).
Secondus, who was speaking while leading the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to play host to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on Friday, revealed that the party has dispatched its governors to interface with the DSS over Suswam’s detention.
The party boss declared President Buhari a failure, saying that Nigerians were yearning for a return of the former ruling party. He, therefore, said the only way to meet the expectations of the citizens was for the party to ensure free, fair and transparent primary elections at all levels to regain the confidence of the people.
A governor that knows how and when to encourage his people is leader that is worthy of emulation and this, and this children are leaders of tomorrow that. This recognition will make them do better in the forth coming competition.
nnennau17: I commend the Bayelsa state governor for giving this young girls the opportunity to display their talent and strength in Basket ball, and i join other Nigerians to wish them greater heights in their basket ball career.
Continue with the good job and the people will continue to support you irrespective of what the opposition say. Since you become Governor, Bayelsa state has really transformed both economically and socially.
The rate of corruption going on in this APC administration is worse than what we had in PDP administration, Dankwambo is a man of integrity and he proved during his one time Acountant General of the Federation, no money looting or money missing.
Dankwambo42019: ALHAJI IBRAHIM HASSAN DANKWAMBO: A BETTER CHOICE BEFORE NIGERIANS?
It is true that a golden fish has no hiding place. The professional, political and public service career of national and global leaders are always in public domain. Their performance or lack of it stands them out as the populace, public affairs analysts and social affairs commentators are wont to publicly and vocally assess their varied contributions to the socio-economic wellbeing of the citizenry at large.
The above musing aptly describes the dynamic and highly resourceful Governor of Gombe state, Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, FCIB, FCA, OON, (Talban-Gombe) within the backdrop of a higher calling that is currently tolling its bell on him ahead of 2019. For the consummate technocrat, cerebral chartered accountant and super-achieving administrative helmsman par excellence, much has been written and chronicled on his superb and superlative infrastructural and developmental exploit as well as his groundbreaking reforms both in Gombe state as the incumbent chief executive officer and the office of the Accountant General of the Federation that have repositioned and recalibrated the said offices for a more credible, responsive and efficient service delivery to the people and the nation at large.
Much of the publicity has been unsolicited as the unassuming and largely self-effacing Talban Gombe believes in silent and unheeded achievements, with solid and indelible administrative reforms and infrastructural projects on ground to speak for themselves rather than engaging in undue media hype or sensational headlines that are the province of many a politician.
However, much as Dankwambo might want to avoid the public limelight, his tremendous and all-encompassing performance at various levels of governance and administration has attracted unprecedented adulation and encomiums to the extent that no less an influential and prescient man of God, the famed Catholic prelate, Father Ejike Camilus Mbaka, has predicted that the 2019 presidential mandate rests squarely on the broad shoulders of the highly respected Gombe state helmsman. The revered cleric did not mince words while prophesying that Dankwambo has the wherewithal to take Nigeria decisively and unerringly out of the woods of despair, despondency and decay that the APC-led federal government has plunged it since coming to power on May 29, 2015.
In an unequivocal and straightforward celestial pontification, Father Mbaka predicted that the savvy and articulate Dankwambo will inherit the presidential crown in order to repeat the magic that he has performed in Gombe state and at the federal level in order to bring the country closer to the standard of living and economic attainment of advanced countries in the global comity of nations; no more, no less. With the pronouncement of the Catholic priest who is renowned for the authenticity and fecundity of his prophecies and who has never for once met Dankwambo in person, the whole political configuration, calculation and permutations for 2019 has been inexorably altered.
At the moment, the vast majority of the nation’s citizenry are lining up, locked in step behind the fortuitous and auspicious candidacy of the Gombe political wonder who defied all imaginable odds to emerge the only re-elected PDP governor in the whole of the North despite the fact that the rival APC swept the region in a massive tsunami during the 2015 general election.
Indeed, the Peoples Democratic Party leadership seems galvanized by Father Mbaka’s earth-shaking prediction affirming that Dankwambo is eminently qualified to assume the mantle of presidential leadership at any time and that his candidacy must come as a huge relief for legions of the party’s faithful as well as millions of ordinary Nigerians who are craving for a credible alternative to the directionless leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and his fellow travelers in APC. Without doubt, the last man standing, as Talban is affectionately referred to, won in Gombe on the basis of merit, hardwork, competence and exemplary performance.
He touched the lives of the people of the state in all material spheres, be it in road infrastructure, health, education, power, water supply, rural development, agriculture, manpower development and women or youth empowerment. All these sectors have been decisively and positively affected by Dankwambo’s No-Citizen-Left-Behind policy. All the eleven local government areas of the state have felt the impact of the visionary leadership of the governor. For instance, immediately after the 2015 elections, the first set of roads that were constructed Dankwambo where in the enclave of his defeated APC gubernatorial rival, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya This was in consonance with admirable mantra of Politics Without Bitterness of the Talban Gombe.
Indeed, the infrastructural revolution embarked upon by the indefatigable governor has been unprecedented throughout the nation, dwarfing those of Lagos, Rivers, Akwa Ibom among others, on an income per capital ratio, given the fact that Gombe State receives a paltry N2 billion per annum as federal allocation compared to the over N15-N30 billion naira received annually by the aforementioned oil-producing states.
Tens of thousands of kilometers of urban and rural roads have been completed while a lot more are under construction. Hundreds of hospitals, maternity and health centres, primary, secondary and Arabic schools have been either constructed or rehabilitated with adequate supply of hospital equipment, drugs, desks, chairs and laboratory equipment respectively. In the agriculture sector, tremendous progress has been attained with fertilizer, seedlings, farm implements, tractors, harvesters, planters, sprayers and many more supplied or leased to agrarian farmers at highly subsidized rates to boost agricultural production in the Jewel of the Savannah.
Dankwambo’s youth and women empowerment programme is also a complement to his development agenda for the state as tens of thousands of women and youths have been trained in fish farming, rabbit and poultry production, bee keeping, hair dressing, barbing, sewing, tying and dying, soap making, as well as confectionary skills.
All these are geared towards enhancing their income-generating and self-sustenance status. Thousands of graduates and other categories of staff have been employed in the Gombe State public service ever since the Talban Gombe assumed office on May 29, 2011.
Indeed, to catalogue the length, breadth and scope of the landmark administrative, infrastructural and developmental exploits of the Last Man Standing is beyond the breadth of this treatise, but it is fair to surmise that the nation needs, as a matter of urgency, the leadership sagacity of Governor Dankwambo, as well as his depth of experience, vision, vigour and fortitude to pilot the ship of the Nigerian State to safer and calmer shores come 2019.
what is happening to our democracy? This APC autonomy would have to looked into, people can no longer express themselves? If our legislatures are threatened and framed, what will be the fate of the citizens? APC it is time to go, you have caused so much damage to our democracy and we cannot afford to leave the nation in your selfish hands anymore.
SteveAde123: OPEN LETTER TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE U.K., H.E. THERESA MAY
H.E. Theresa May
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
Thru: The British Ambassador to Nigeria
Abuja - FCT.
Your Excellency,
WHY SARAKI's PERSECUTION IS DANGEROUS TO NIGERIA's DEMOCRACY
I write to intimate you that democracy in Nigeria is being driven to a precarious state as a result of a new regime of persecution, intimidation, repression and suppression being meted out against perceived political opponents in the country. My purpose is to seek the urgent intervention of your humble self and the U.K. Parliament in preventing inhuman acts being carried out against innocent Nigerians in order to subjugate and crowd out credible opponents ahead of the 2019 general elections. I wish to inform you that in view of the unbearable events taking place in the country, I have written similar letters of appeal to the President of the United States, Donald Trump and the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, calling for their urgent intervention to safeguard the nation's democracy.
I believe that you are not oblivious of the current political developments in Nigeria capable of scuttling the nation's democracy if not checked. This letter is not intended to make you violate the sovereignty of the country, but to appeal to you to use yours good offices to dissuade the present administration and its agents from continuing with their present action of spreading fear in the interest of the nation's democracy and to guarantee the people's inalienable rights to free of speech, press, association and freedom from fear, intimidation and harassment.
The frame-up and trial of the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and a vast number of opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members, by the agents of the presidency is a sure sign that unless the leaders of the free world come to the aid of the country, conditions will deteriorate irretrievably.
Nigerians are alarmed at the dehumanizing campaign being waged by its own government against free citizens through incessant arrests, detention and trial of the innocent in the name of anti-corruption war, which has been generally acknowledged to be highly selective, going by the manner it is being conducted.
It has come to our knowledge that the executive and its henchmen have concluded plans to force the impeachment of Saraki and Dogara as President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively. Already, the government is about to drag Dogara and some of his colleagues to court over allegations of budget padding earlier raised by a suspended lawmaker. Recently, a court purportedly directed the Federal Government to prosecute all the accused persons fingered in the budget padding scandal of which Dogara is number one. Even though Saraki has been on trial over alleged false asset declaration since 2015, new attempts are being made to link him with criminal elements as a way to gag him and his teaming supporters ahead of the up coming general elections.
Already the government has commenced phased withdrawal of security personnel attached to Saraki and Dogara, in a bid to expose them to danger and personal harm, ahead of the plot to forcefully remove them as presiding officers of the National Assembly. However, be it known to you and the U.K. Parliament that any attempt to compel the impeachment of the two presiding officers of the 8th National Assembly will be resisted by Nigerians just like the attempt to link Saraki with the Offa bank robbery suspects has been vehemently rejected across the country. This is one of the reasons the nPDP bloc of the APC is threatening to pull out of the alliance having realized that its members are being deliberately targeted for persecution.
Let it be known that the entire National Assembly is is on trial under the present administration. The trial of Saraki, spurious allegations against the Deputy President of the Senate, Dr. Ike Ekweremadu, the invasion of the Senate by sponsored thugs, the arrest and detention of senators Dino Melaye, Peter Uwaoboshi, Bassey Albert Akpan, Stella Oduah, the ongoing trial of Senator Isa Misau by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice over his differences with the Inspector General of Police and the attack on Senator Matthew Urhoghide at the Benin Airport for daring to speak up against constitutional breaches by the present administration goes to show that the National Assembly has come under executive siege and may collapse unless something is done urgently to reverse the trend of attacks against the lawmakers. However, democracy in Nigeria may cease to exist if the ferocious attacks against the National Assembly is allowed to continue.
I believe that the ordeal of the President of the Senate under the present administration, characteristically typifies the venomous zeal which has turned the agents of the state into instruments of victimization against its own people. You will agree with me that if the number three citizen of a country can be made to undergo such tremendous vilification, like the case of Saraki who worked assiduously to bring this government to power, then there is no hope for members of the opposition political parties and common citizens. A question the U.K. Government should ask is: How come anybody believed to be opposed to the policies of the present administration will sooner than later be accused of being corrupt and a sponsor of armed robbery and murders?
In view of the incessant attacks against its members and flagrant constitutional breaches by the executive, the National Assembly held a joint executive session Tuesday, June 5th, 2018, where it resolved to invoke its Constitutional powers to safeguard democracy, halt killings in the land and the anti-democratic acts of the executive and its agents. The National Assembly said and I quote: "Finally, the National Assembly will not hesitate to invoke its Constitutional powers if nothing is done to address the above resolutions passed today."
Permit me to say that Nigeria at this moment is at a cross-road politically and urgently requires the intervention of allies and friendly governments to sustain its hard earned democracy through the restoration of the rule of law, peace, unity and good governance. The world cannot afford to take passing interest in the ongoing political terror eclipsing the country at this time without risking grave humanitarian conditions that may result if law and order is allowed to breakdown completely.
This is why I am calling on you and the U.K. Parliament to prevail on the executive to halt their sinister campaign capable to truncating the nation's democracy and to halt all manner of human rights abuses in the country. As things stand, nobody knows who will be the next victim of government's anti-democratic and inhuman activities. It is my hope that you will spare a thought for Nigeria - as a proud member of the Common Wealth - and once again help us to navigate our way out of the present political darkness about to overwhelm the country.
Imagine that all our leaders are getting it right like this, Nigeria would have been a better place by now, keep up the good work sir, we need PDP back in 2019
There is a clear difference between Dankwambo and President Buhari both in age, productivity, efficiency. The assessment of the projects handled in Gombe, shows that he can do more when given the opportunity to lead as the president of the federal republic of Nigeria
Adurofight: ROAD TO 2019; Muhammadu Buhari Versus Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo; . President Muhammadu Buhari hails from Katsina State( NorthWest) while Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo hails from Gombe State( NorthEast) . President Buhari is 75 years of age while Dankwambo is 57 years of age. . President Buhari's education qualifications is a controversial O'level result and the certificate he obtained when he schooled at United States Army War college in Carlisle Pennsylvania, United States in the 80s. While Dankwambo graduated from Ahmadu Bello University in 1985 with a degree in Accounting. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Lagos in 1992 and a PhD in Accounting from Igbinedion University. . President Buhari was a former Military head of state in the 80s with no meaningful achievements. As the president of Nigeria in a democratic era, Base on fact, Figures and record, His administration remain the worst since 1999 while Governor Dankwambo was a former Accountant General of the federation with clean record since his 40s. Base on his achievements on Infrastructures, Health, Education, Workers welfarism etc, He was rated as the best Northern Governor in year 2015 by Vanguard Newspaper. Again, He won the award of Best Governor in Nigeria in year 2015 from Leadership Newspaper. Whereas, No Newspaper, international body or non Governmental organization has ever rated Buhari's military regime as the best in the history of Nigeria. . President Buhari is not medically fit, He had been receiving Medical treatment abroad since 80s while Governor Dankwambo is medically fit without health challenges. Base on Health ground, He has never jet out of the country for Once. . According to records, Many divisive, Violence, inciting and controversial statement has been traced to President Buhari in the past. E.g Buhari promised to fight for Sharia Law in Year 2001 if elected as the president, "Dog and Baboon will be Soak inside blood" A Statement Buhari made when he lost year 2011 poll to Goodluck Jonathan. This statement alone leads to lost and destruction of lives and properties in Northwest in year 2011. "Abacha is a good president, He's not corrupt" A statement Buhari made during Late Sani Abacha's remembrance day in year 2008. Again, History can never forget the day Buhari described Northerners as 97% and the remaining tribes as 5% in year 2015. Lastly Buhari declared IPOB as a terrorist group while he hails Fulani herdsmen killer and describe them as a good citizen of Nigeria etc. All these made many Nigerians to believe that President Buhari is a religious bigots and a First Class tribalist. People believe he lacks what it takes to rule a multi cultural and Multi religious society like Nigeria successfully. Meanwhile, No divisive, Derogatory, Inflammatory or inciting to violence statement, Quotes or comments have been traced to Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo in the past. He's a detribalize Nigerian. He's not a tribalist and he's not a religious bigots. His Education background said it all. . President Buhari belongs to analog age. His utterances, Manner of approach, Mentality, style of leadership, etc. belongs to 19th century. As a matter of fact, He cannot operate any social media platform. He's running from presidential media chat because of his intellectual ability to give perfect and suitable answers to questions that will be ask by Newsmen . MeanWhile, Governor Dankwambo belongs to Digital age. He's a man with Modern ideas and mentality. He has given meaning to Governance in Gombe State in this 21st Century. As a matter of fact, He operates all his social media accounts by himself. He tweets and post of facebook on daily basis. . President Buhari is a man who cannot think by himself. His remote control is in the hands of the invisible cabals in Aso Rock and some political godfather. While Governor Dankwambo is a man who is self dependent. He doesn't have any political godfather. Despite the tsunami of Change that engulfed many PDP candidates in the North 3 years ago, He remain the only PDP Governor that won his reelection bid without the support of President Buhari. He won with a wide margin despite obvious threat by his immediate predecessor who is now a Senator under APC. The gap Governor Dankwambo used to defeat his opponent in year 2015, It is more than what Aregbesola used to defeat Senator Iyiola Omisore in Osun State in year 2014 Guber race. . Prior to year 2015 presidential election, it was revealed that 2.8billon dollars was missing under General Buhari when he was the former Minister of petroleum under General Olusegun Obasanjo in year 1977. Till Today, he cannot account for the missing money. Meanwhile, Since Dankwambo's days as the Accountant General of the federation till now, He has never been accused wrongly by EFCC, He has never been indicted for fraud or Embbelzement of public funds by his political enemies or Government officials. He has never been in the watchlist of EFCC or any security agency. I am not saying he's a saint, Only God is perfect. This is one of the reasons why Dankwambo stand out among other PDP presidential aspirants When compare to Dr. Sule Lamido and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. . In Nigeria today, We cannot point out to any visible achievements of General Buhari as a military head of state in the 80s. He has no achievement in the Education sector, Health, power, Agriculture, security etc. As a president in the Democratic dispensation, As of today, We cannot point out to any visible projects initiated, constructed, completed and commissioned by President Buhari. Meanwhile in Gombe State, The education sector of the State remain the best in the Northeastern part of Nigeria today. Dankwambo has performed exceedingly well in the Health sector, Agricultural sector, Security and other sectors in the State. These are audible to the deaf and visible to the eye. . According to record, President Buhari's administration in 3 years has borrowed more than what PDP borrowed in 16years. PDP borrowed 6trillon naira in 16years while Buhari's Government borrowed 11 trillion naira within 3years with no reasonable achievements to show for it. Meanwhile in Nigeria today, Gombe State is one of the best managed State among the 36 States of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Gombe State is one of the states that Collected the lowest federal allocation on Monthly basis from the purse of Federal Government. Gombe, Ekiti and Ebonyi State are in the same Shoe. Despite this, the level of Development in Gombe State is far better than that of Ebonyi and Ekiti State. As at today, Gombe State is not owing workers a penny when compare to many States that collects huge allocation than Gombe State e.g Osun, Oyo, Ekiti and other States in the Southern part of Nigeria. With little resources, The State is the fastest developing State among the Northeastern States. Despite all these, The amazing fact is that Gombe State is among the State with lowest debt profile in Nigeria today. All these are attributed to the transparency, Integrity and financial prudence of Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo. As an accountant, He knows how to plan and manage a little resources to achieve a meaningful things. . On security, It is an obvious facts that Nigeria is not secure under President Buhari. Bokoharam are still active under this administration. IPOB agitation also set in. The dead Niger/Delta Avengers also resurrected under Buhari and Fulani herdsmen killers are on rampage killing everybody. Buhari failed to use his experience as a former Military man to combat the insecurity challenges facing the country. Meanwhile, Gombe State on the other hand is one of the peaceful States in Nigeria despite being a Northern State. As of today, The State remains the most safest States in the NorthEast when compare to its contemporaries like Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba and Bauchi. Base on record, Bokoharam has never strike for once in Gombe State. Despite the fact that almost 50% of Gombe State population is dominated by Fulani people, As at today, There is no single record of Fulani herdsmen killing in Gombe State. If we blame the Governor of Benue State for the insecurity challenges bedeviling Benue State today, then Governor Hassan Dankwambo deserves praises, encomium and accolades for the peace and tranquility Gombe people are enjoying under his administration when compare to neighbouring states. . In a nutshell, Governor Dankwambo and president Buhari are incomparable. Dankwambo is a man that have everything president Buhari lacks. Dankwambo defeat Buhari in every areas. He remain the best among all the aspirants who are jostling for the post of presidency in year 2019. . Fellow Nigerians, I present to you the best Alternative to President Buhari in year 2019. His name is Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, The executive Governor of Gombe State. . God bless Nigeria(Amen) . # Adurofight !!! . Email; temitopeaduroja90@gmail.com
