5. Third player to make a European Championship dream team: The former Sporting Lisbon player became the third player to in history to be named in the tournament’s dream team from 2004, 2012 and 2016 respectively.

He joined the likes of Laurent Blanc and Paolo Maldini who were included in the dream team of a European tournament in 1992, 1996, 2000 for the French 1988, 1996 and 2000 editions for the Italian.
6. Eleventh player to win the Champions League and European Championship in the same year: Ronaldo and fellow country man Pepe have now added themselves to the exclusive list of players who won the trophies for both club and country.

Some days ago, a Sierra Leone international Kei Kamara got a yellow card for twerking while celebrating a goal.This unusual event happened in New England Revolution’s 3-0 win over win over Montreal Impact. Kamara scored Revolution’s third goal in the game and twerked while celebrating. Twerking in a dance style that involves the shaking of buttocks. Chidinma Okeke, the outgoing Miss Anambra 2015, whose sex video has gone viral on social media (See here https://www.nairaland.com/3421458/chidinma-okekes-lesbian-video-leaks) has handed over her crown to Miss Anambra project executives, Miss Abiola Jinadu and Miss Blessing Obiora.They expressed readiness to work with the outgoing queen as they look forward to crowning a new queen.

Mis Chidima urged other young girls to avail themselves of the opportunity of achieving their dream in life and shared some of her experiences during including representing Nigeria at the Miss Intercontinental pageant in Germany.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of the ABS, Nze Uche Nworah had earlier commended the out going queen on the successful completion of her tenure and wished her well in life. He also announced that Miss Anambra 2016 originally scheduled to hold on the 28th of October 2016 has been postponed and that a new date will be announced later.

Government of Imo State has introduced a policy tagged“BACK TO LAND FOR AGRICULTURE” to enable the state engage and invest heavily in agriculture for self-sustenance.

According to a statement by Sam Onwuemeodo, the Chief Press Secretary to the Imo State Governor, the governor directed that public servants in the state would now work from Mondays to Wednesdays, and use Thursdays and Fridays for agriculture (farming) while Saturdays can be used for ceremonies. And the directive takes effect from Monday August 1, 2016.

However, the governor exempted public servants on essential duties like the teachers, nurses, doctors and people involved in Internally Generated Revenue drive. Political appointees are also exempted from the 3-days working periods.


This does not in any way affect the salaries of the workers. Workers will get their full salaries. The issue of annual leave and casual leave is hereby cancelled. Resumption time for work has changed from 8am to 7.30am in the morning and ends by 4pm.

Any worker that is not found on his or her seat between 7.30am and 4pm on the days concerned will be summarily dismissed. Everybody must go back to agriculture. Every political appointee must own a farm. .

N2 billion has been set aside at the micro-finance bank for the purpose of this Back To Land For Agriculture policy so that those willing can access it. And time is gone again when politicians and some Imolites will come to government in the pretence of farming and collect loans and use it to buy cars and marry new wives.”
