ollah1: The issue with you is you non consistent of arguments. You switched from Nigerian market to Verizon dropping 2 XL price when the question was about 3XL and you didnt even answer it.
Nigeria isn't up to 0.01% of Pixel Market. How many Pixels have you seen in the wild, say any mall, per 100 people? Pixel 3XL, same story. So far, Pixel 3XL isn't crossing any sales milestone inspite of the camera being praised to high heavens.
ollah1: What price did Pxel 3 and 3 XL debut to reach the conclusion that they aren't high? Also, resale value doesnt always have to mean the initial price was high
Price ke? I'm talking of quantity of sale. It's like Blackberry claiming to have resale value when people aren't buying a lot of it. Pixel is greater than BB but with the first wave of bugs and the current reception in the US, India and China etc, it's not flying off the shelves as much as say the OnePlus or Samsung or Apple or even Oppo and Vivo fam. Verizon dropped their Google Pixel 2 XL Price to $399. That's less than half its starting price for a brand new one. Compare with iPhone X that was released within the same time frame. Unless we're talking about something else. Things like resale value have numerical figures and should not be argued.
ollah1: Stop writing like a noob. Only pixel phones in the Android department have high resale value and that's because Google isnt really interested in moving more phones. iPhone is the only iOS mobile phone so its normal for it to be like that.
How can Pixel have resale value when initial sales aren't even high to begin with. Now who's sounding like a noob?
Patrick33: thats cause iphones are over expensive and we all know that..even tim cook said that, the value of flagships will surely drop cause samsung has other line of phones..the A series for example..futhermore samsung has to drop value of their phones cause they are damn expensive to repair,at least what i read on tomsguide.
Samsung has 2 flagships a year. That's all. How can you say iPhones are over expensive with regards to Samsung when Samsung and iPhone flagships cost the exact same price as at launch?
Patrick33: bro you say samsung lacks resale value??
Check it. Resale value isn't subjective like specs. iPhone X released in November 2017 at 360,000 or $1000, 16 months later at N265,000 or $740 Samsung Note 9 released in August 2018 at 360,000 or $999, 7 months later at N240,00 or $670 When it comes to UK used, Samsung even loses more value.
Patrick33: ill pick the s10+ over any flagship coming out now...the display and feel on that phone can make you orgasm..am not a camera freak, and basically mobile phones are still learning where professional cameras are..the huawei is great but i just doesn't come close..no stereo speakers and earpiece ports...huge letdown..the battery on the p30 pro is nice tho..dont like their kirin chipset..the snapdragon 855 is better and the exynos variant of s10+ just stomps all
That's called brand loyalty. I'd rather be loyal to a brand that offers me resale value. Samsung lacks that.
PhenomenalMorgan: That's your opinion, which doesn't make it a fact!!! You can just say it offers better value for money... Not even a single spec comparison to back up your claims... Next!!
They said GPU lool Who pays 300K for a phone to use GPU? They can't afford PS4 ni?
ollah1: Using the dxo you uploaded earlier, s10 plus has a higher score in selfie than others but its poor to you. Also, the design isnt overplayed because punch hole isnt a two year old design compared to notches. If you are indeed itching for something new then you should be talking about dual screens or foldable phones
When i tested the S10. It's everywhere now. You know quality camera when you see one and that S10+ is not an improvement from Note 9. Too basic, nothing like iPhone.
ollah1: S10 plus is an overall better phone but I expect a photo crazy person to choose P30 Pro.
Not really photo crazy about camera but Samsung S10 selfie camera is too poor for the price. Also, S10+ design is overplayed. It was so cute 2 years ago but now, i don't know. Samsung screens cost a fortune too. Frankly i'm just itching for something new in general.
ollah1: Cameras dont end with still pictures. You need to check out videos too and dont forget that the selfie cam on s10 plus can shoot 4k videos. The screen doesnt end at 1440p but it's also equipped with HDR10 +
ollah1: YouTube dont tell the full story and it's not only GPU department that S10 plus edges the P30 pro
Samsung has the best displays though it's not set to full 1440P by default. I think that's where the edge ends for samsung. Even GPU isn't significant enough to call an edge since iPhones run games smoother than both.
Game wise, it's iPhone Display wise, it's Samsung Camera wise, it's Huawei Battery wise, also Huawei Design wise ...
seunfly: Which IPhone are u talking about about? I guess u are talking about the anticipated iPhone 11 because p20 pro even beats iPhone X, it is only iPhone xs max that came close last year.
meobizy: To me it was only a matter of time before this trend got boring. I would have added mine but I have more pressing issues to attend to. This news hitting front page will make people think the video will accumulate eight thousand views from Nairaland alone but the highest it'll see on a good day is two hundred.
I have a feeling that no YouTuber or blogger can blow from Nairaland alone even if you hit front page 10 times a day.
Competition is good. Let's see how the tecno/infinix people would reply this one. We're still waiting for Zero and phantom series since over a year ago. Nawa o
correctBlogger: The only time i will start buying all these recent Infinix and Tecno phones with notches is only when they start using those notches for something useful and meaningful, like adding a real working 3D Face Unlock.. Now nobody should come here to shout at me telling me that all those are premium features and are only meant for premium smart phones.. My friend, almost all Xiaomi midrange phones nowadays has it, Huawei doesn't even care if it is a midrange, low-end, high end phone or not, they are putting it in almost everywhere.. even Vivo has it.. so what are you saying.. why can't Tecno and Infinix just copy something meaningful for once...
But anyways.. i'm patiently waiting for this year's Infinix Zero 6 sha.. at least nowadays i can trust Infinix more better than Tecno.. heard the phone will even come in a glass finished body..
But oga Henry007, why haven't we been hearing any news or even runors concerning the phone na.. at least let's be anticipating for something.. abi have Infinix and Tecno finally decided to ditch the Zero and Phantom lineups?.. Thank you.
The 12 nanometer process Helio P22 chipset on the Camon 11 pro proved to be a much faster chip than the 16 nanometer Helio P23 CPU from installing apps, to playing PUBG. I would be doing a detailed gaming performance test shortly to talk more about the battery life.
Here are some screenshots from the video.
