Hello Guys, I have a question. Which makes more sense? To get married while waiting for PPR or to get COPR, travel and then come back to Nig to get married. What are the timelines for both options? Also, what is the timeline for carrying out a marriage at the registry? Can it all be done say within one week? Please advise. |
Has XXXXX applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before? I have applied and been issued a few Canadian visit visas. What should the correct answer to this question be. Somebody, Anybody, Please help!!! |
00DE00:Thank you so much for getting back to me. 1. I got retained in my first job and worked with them for one year after completion of NYSC. In your opinion do you think it is necessary for the company to make any reference to NYSC as i was in the same role for the 2 years i worked with them. The letter just simply states that i worked with them for a period of 2 years. I will proceed and indicate it in the personal details section the 1 year NYSC period and put it under employment. 2. Can you please send me your contact details, there is something i would like to discuss with you about NOC. 3. I will attach all passport pages. Thanks. Please get back to me ASAP. |
Ehrnie:The more i read through this thread, the more i get scared and worried that i have not done something right. Here is my predicament. In my personal history tab, all i have is my Uni and previous jobs (it mentions activities within the last 10 years). I initially did not make any mention or reference to NYSC in my eAPR but i am having second thoughts. Here are my questions 1. Is it ok to refer to my NYSC as just the 3 weeks spent in the orientation camp and claim the rest of the NYSC year as work experience? - Reason i ask this is that my first job is where i did my NYSC and its in that work experience i am claiming my NOC because it is actually what i studied in UNI. The reference letter from the organisation does not refer or mention anything about NYSC. Should i get them to write another reference letter which will divide the 1st of the 2 years at the organization as NYSC and the other as a staff position? 2. I recently just got approved by 2 professional regulating bodies. Is it necessary to include these under personal history? If yes, under what category in the personal history section? 3. I have scanned through 4 passport cycles, do i need to include all visas from each and every one of my passports or will the last 10 years suffice? PS: If you are reading this and you have successfully gone through the eAPR phase please, please send me a message,i really really need your help and a little bit of your time. |

Aka2003:I think it mentions over a 10 year period somewhere. |
Hello, I am a bit confused. In my employment details while applying initially, the system didn't let me progress because i had a 2 months gap between 2 of my work experiences. I then had to move my engagement dates for all employment to follow each other. The issue now is, one of my letters of reference carries the original date as against what i have in my preliminary application, which i am certain in on the CIC records. I have written a LOE and attached to the employment reference letter. (is this necessary)? Will this suffice? Please promptly help, anyone who has/had this issue. Many thanks. |
jugzy:Bank certificate? What bank did you get this? I asked from GT bank and they mentioned that all they have is a reference letter (Only for current accounts) and a letter of non-indebtedness. 2 separate letters. I had to put these letters on pause as they were very clear they do not issue "To whom it may concern" letters. Is it ok to use the address below? Federal Skilled Worker Program Centralised Intake Office, C/o Canadian High Commission 42, Independence Avenue, P.O.Box 1693 Accra - Ghana |
boldinc:Apologies, for some reason i do not think you got the email i sent. Please see below in response to your comments in red. CIC Address to include in reference letter from bank: Could you help out with this? 2. Attaching WES report: I read on the CIC website that it is not required to attache WES report. However, to be on the safe side i will attach it. You cannot go wrong with more documentation. Will the online report sent to me by WES Suffice as i do not have the paper copy yet? Please see attached document.

Ehrnie:Hello Ehrnie, can the address stated above also be used for bank reference letters and letter of non-indebtedness? Many thanks. |
boldinc:Howdy, you have not gotten back to me on my questions. Please assist. Thanks |

Adiahabasi:Thanks for getting back to me. Seems to me WES evaluates 2 results per payment cycle. So it was my B.Sc and SSCE that were assessed. I did not even know their was an age error until WES report came back. The age on the WAEC certificate is one year younger than my age. I have gone back to my secondary school and they have taken ownership of the error and the process of correcting it is in progress. So back to my question... Is it ok to attach WAEC (With proof that the age disparity is being processed), BSc, IELTS as proof of education? |
Hello guys, good thread you have on here, big task reading through the entire thread. Eye wan pop out. I have a few grey areas i need help with: 1. Letter of non-indebtedness/Letters of Reference - I know the banks write these for customers at a fee. WHO SHOULD THIS LETTER BE ADDRESSED TO. The banks will not write this unless it is addressed to someone. Should it be addressed to CIC or?? 2. Proof of employment: Is it OK to have this document as a "To Whom it may Concern" 3. There was a mistake in my date of birth on my WAEC Result. This was picked up by WES. I have begun the process of rectifying this with WAEC and i am currently waiting for the change to be made. However, i have attached my WAEC result as it is, with my UNI Certs, copy of my birth certificate and sworn affidavit used for processing the change. Will this suffice? Anyone had the same issue in the past? Doi need to include a letter of explanation for this reason? 4. Do i need to attach copies of my IELTS and WES certificates to my eAPR? 5. I seem to have misplaced my original UNI Cert and just have the scanned copies. Will this be requested by CIC at any point? Anyone have this experience? 6. How many months of bank statement is required? I know it is not cast in stone, but what time frame is prudent? 7. Any ideas on how to pay the fees? I don't think any Nigerian debit cards can transact such amounts. Any leads on this? |
