PoliticsThe Death Of The Young Boy In Owerri Is A Call For Justice - A.M Joseph by TeamLeader112(op): 2:33pm On Aug 26, 2017
Tears breached my eyelid after it got filled to the brim When I stumbled on the thread of a young poor boy with a promising future that we lost into the cold hands of blood following the demolition of a of Ekwe-Ukwu market in Owerri. It was recorded that the boy was short dead by the stray bullet of the demolition squad and I think immediate justice should be taken over the case. Civilians are dying and we the citizen tends to keep quiet.

Government armed forces can’t commit any impertinent act and do away with it in the guise of working for the government, it is of utmost assertion that the government will make the attempt of sweeping this case under the carpet, whereas if it were to be a random citizen that committed this treasonable felony, he would either be prosecuted by the government or jungle justice would have been taken on him. Why? Why do we continue to harm ourselves in our own country? This issue is going berserk in this country and we the citizen keep quiet expecting the wealthy ones who have no feelings for human to speak for us.

Our leaders think they can act the way they wish all in the name of POWER, Oh! What a country. The constitution of this country is not a constitution that exempt the leaders, it’s a constitution for all. The law that binds the poor also binds the rich as well as our leaders. We can’t continue to watch the government blindfold us with power. Its so appalling that those that have been put up to secure us are the one harming our lives. There’s no food in the land, no employment opportunities, no power supply and yet our lives are not secured in the arms of the government while we search for our daily bread. Its crystal-clear that our leaders are virtually looking for our downfall. A quote goes this way “If there’s no enemy within, the enemy out there can do no harm.”

A poor boy with a bright future had been sent to his early grave, I once thought “Hope our so called leaders have not with their immoral laxity and egocentric personality lead the God-sent president of this country to the grave.” I hope God himself has not folded his arms watching were the leaders are sailing this country to. They should remember the day of reckoning is near.

• we need to fight for our right.
• We need to fight for equality.
• We need to stand against discrimination.

Many people that can fight for us had kept a low profile just because of the fear of been jailed by the government. Many citizens had kept their head low because they are scared that if they speak, they would be penalized. Why do we continue to empower the petulant act of our leaders with our fear. The government are acting on our fear because they think whatever they say is the final. Its high time we need to stand up as one and show that that we have a voice, its high time we need to show to their face that we are emotionally disturbed by the sword they use in stabbing us from behind, we feel the pain. How long will they continue to take our lives, even in our own country. Its so disgusting that we are not safe upon all this hardship.

"AFTER THE STORM" PROLOGUE
BY
ADEMOLA MAYOWA JOSEPH

AHEAD OF DECEMBER. . .

How deserted lays her world,
Once so full of threats!
Who once was great amongst her peers!
She who was queens among the people,
She has now become a slave.
Bitterly she weeps at night,
Tears are upon her cheek!
Between her father and her mother,
There was none to comfort her.
All her friends have betrayed her;
They have become her enemies.
She dwells among the people;
She finds no resting place.
All who pursued her?
They have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.
Her antagonist have become her master,
Her enemies are at ease.
She regretted stepping her feet into the world,
The world had brought her grief,
Just because of her childhood scars.
When she fell into her enemy’s hand,
There was no one to help her;
Her enemies looked at her destruction.
The enemies laid hands on all her treasures;
And there’s no one to deliver her from the captive,
Until she met her ANGEL!

Who is the ANGEL?
How did they met?
What were the hurdles she encountered in the world of mystery?
How did she managed to be amongst those that life tormented?
How did she managed to escape future disaster?

You find out in "AFTER THE STORM"
A novel enriched with moral recipes that nourishes the mind in family and love affairs, crime, patience, politics, corruption, death, security to mention but few.

Article: It saddens the heart
Author: Ademola Mayowa Joseph

Our attitude, personality, temperance, quality to mention but few is what this great country possess, we as an individual is what we know as Nigeria. Nigeria today is a replica of our attitude, people characterize this country according to the attitude we possess, so we are Nigeria.

I wonder where we are actually heading to in this country, everybody most especially the females now dress naked, they no longer feel ashamed of themselves. its crystal clear that we are gradually heading back to the days of Adam and Eve when they eat the forbidden apple and Discovered they were naked. I hope the ladies have not eaten another apple?

We will never imitate the repertoire of the white men that makes their country a fast growing one, we rather imitate the idiotic part of them and practice it in Nigeria and we think we are getting civilized, we think we are developing. If you don't know, you are moving in an anticlockwise direction.

How appalling is it when a white man travels down to your country, bargain with the government and goes away with your resources. They then utilize the resources to develop their country and they tend to use the waste outcome to make product for us to buy, why is it that all our appliances, gadget, wears are not lasting longer anymore. Let's stop been stupid, the white men are acting on our idiocy.

Its so mind boggling when a well sown garb that covers the whole unclothedness of the body is sold for #2500 and an half sown attire that reveals all the part of the body is sold for #5000, then females crave for the one of high cost that possess an high risk to their life. How naive we are?

When we sight an insane man walking on the street with tattered cloth and a barefooted leg we pity them, but we never pity ourselves when we put on crazy jeans that imitate the quality of an insane being. I think is high time we need to come back to our right senses. If the country is naked, do we need to go naked along with it?

You can't change the direction of a wind to get to your destination but you can change the direction of your sail to get to your destination.

】Don't be a tool for the destruction of this great nation.
● The change begins with you.
◆ You are Nigeria.
● You are the weapon for reinstating and reinforcing this country.

EducationOur Mumu Don Do Fce(t) Akoka Student Protest by TeamLeader112(op): 4:11pm On Jul 27, 2017
*OUR MUMU DON DO*
.
We live in a society where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither people nor society will be safe.

*WHERE JUSTICE IS DENIED*
This brought about the story of struggle for justice *26/07/2017* at FCET Akoka. It has been recorded that over 90 students (Year 1, 2 and 3(Extra year)) were deprived from their right of writing second semester examination because of yellow card been given at the admission office after fulfilling the school fees payment of which students didn’t pay happily as a result of the N5,000 surcharge that was added.

Where justice was denied is that, every other higher institution including our neighbouring school UNILAG deemed it fit that once you have paid your school fees, you then have the right to printing exam docket and getting the school I.D card of which gives students the full right of writing exams.
Last year today in FCET Akoka, you can write your exam without any pink or yellow card and those that didn’t conclude their registration concluded it during the final clearance and same can still be done now.
The school management knew they can still give this week without pink card and reduce N3000 from the N7000 of first and second semester registration before passing the heartless directive that students shouldn’t write the exam without the yellow card, and as a result allowing students to have carry over and extra year they didn’t plan for.

*Edu-Portal as a new development.*
It is a new development that FCET Akoka now have Edu-portal that students are paying N5,000 where you can easily pay your school fees, register your course form, print your examination and check your examination result.

*Before Edu-portal*
The evidence of payment was school fees receipt and registration of which it is not supposed to be like that anymore because there now exist a school portal of which you can easily do it all online.

*WHERE THE POVERTY IS ENFORCED*
It is crystal clear that late registration fee is been imposed on the students after paying the school fees. Final clearance card now happens to be the pass to exam hall, neglecting the online docket.

*WHAT IS THE EXCENCE OF THEIR PORTAL THAT WE ARE PAYING FOR?*

*POVERTY IS ENFORED.*

*OUR MUMU DON DO*

*WHERE IGNORANCE PREVAILS*
It is so sad to have discovered that unity, oneness and the love of brotherhood is nowhere to be found amongst Nigeria students BUT the ignorance of “I will be rusticated” OR “I won’t get my result” now lives in the BRAIN of everybody.
After my case study today, I discovered that an FCET Akoka student is the one that, if when pushed to the wall, get more power and energy to break the wall and run away from the oppressed. That was what *BABA FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI* called *SUFFERING AND SMILING.*

A Nigerian student has forgotten that an injury to one is injury to all and when the right of one is threatened, the right of all other students is diminished.
People tend to be generous when sharing their nonsense, fear and ignorance as some students was agitating that they are interested in writing the exams today after their brothers and sisters in academic struggle has been sent out of the hall, all in the name of yellow card. What if you were among the ones affected, what will you do? Remember that fingers are not equal.
This same ignorance am talking about is a poison that kills love, friendship and all the good feelings simply because you are ignorant of the role you are supposed to play in the struggle, you went on with your exams and as a matter of fact killing the “in brotherhood we stand” in the Aluta anthem.
The incoming and unborn generation will suffer for it and they will never forgive you.
*OUR MUMU DON DO*

*MY VIEW*
My believe is that we are all equal in the fact that we are all different, we are all the same in the fact that we will never be same, we are harmonious by the reality that we came into this world through the same gravity. I believe we don’t share blood; we only share the air that keeps us alive. I will not blind myself and tell you that my black brother and brown sister is not different from me. We are each other’s harvest, business, magnitude and bond. Unity is power.
As far as I believe in a peaceful and egalitarian society, I will continue to fight this injustice.
You can go behind me and say I am a fool for not writing my exam of 26/07/2017 but emphatically speaking, I will never regret my actions as I felt the pain of the students that didn’t write their exam as they shed tears and I decided to put myself in their shoe.
Just so sad some other union leaders are running after convocation and their results when other students are in tears. Do comrades still exist? Never answer you name in Aluta way any longer because you don’t worth it (To whom it concern)
Note: You got your NCE certificate and I didn’t get mine doesn’t state that you will be richer than I am in the next ten years. You had better correct your MUMU now before it is too late.
My agitation is that students should be allowed to write exams without yellow card and they can easily sort that when doing the final clearance.
See the truth, speak the truth, and stand by the truth.
Justice will prevail one day.

- Birthday acculturation.
- Ways through which birthday acculturate

Everywhere around the world birthdays (it is the day on which a person was born, typically treated as an occasion for celebration and giving of gifts) helps to bring people together either by individual birthdays, religious celebration (Christmas), festivals, anniversary. it brings people together from different society, culture, ethnic groups, tribes, through presentation of gifts, family and friends, traditions and food.

Birthday is an important process of acculturation (acculturation refers to the processes that occur when different individuals of groups of people meet and exchange aspects of their culture) and it is a one way people can become acculturated. Due to advancement in birthday there has been a significant increase in the interactions among different cultures.

As a result, understanding acculturation, and learning how to accomplish it effectively, has become vital to the future of the world. Birthdays have helped people of diverse culture from varieties of ethnic groups to be able to have access to each other either through attitude, principle, social mores, values and in the process of continuous contact at birthdays people have exchanged foods, music, dances, clothing, tools and technologies which thereabout could cause social change among people of diverse ethnic groups.

For instance Christmas which is a Christian holiday celebrated on December 25th for the birth of Christ where many families and friends have a large dinner and exchange gifts, it can then be formulated that many families and friends of different ethnic groups has exchanged culture through dancing, foods, greetings, attitude and so on by so doing an ethnic group may admire an host culture thereby assimilating and adopting such culture which will cause social change.

In this process of acculturation through birthdays some people will adopt the host culture and abandoning their culture of origin, some will fail to adopt the host culture but preserving their culture of origin while some people will adopt to the host culture while preserving their culture of origin.

Acculturation as a strategy endorsed in a multi - cultural society, in which multiple cultures is accepted and appreciated, people who adopt host cultures at birthdays using it to preserve their culture are most liable to advance immensely because the adopted culture is used in comparing theirs and adjustment is made which is termed to be social change. Birthdays have played a very vital role in acculturation because it involves exchanging of diverse social activities (foods, music, dances, clothing, tools and technologies).

It also helps in improving interaction between diverse ethnic groups thereby reducing conflict and wars in a given society.
PoliticsOil Exploration In Lagos State By Com. Ademola Mayowa Joseph by TeamLeader112(op): 10:49pm On May 27, 2017
ARTICLE - OIL EXPLORATION IN LAGOS STATE
DATE PUBLISHED - SAT. 27TH OF MAY, 2017
AUTHOR - COM. ADEMOLA MAYOWA JOSEPH

Related detailed explanation was made on
- Meaning of oil exploration.
- Benefits of oil exploration to the state.
- Effect of oil exploration on the economy of the state.
- Consequences of oil exploration to host communities.

Studies defined oil exploration to be the search by geologists and geophysicists for Hydrocarbon (crude oil) deposits beneath the earth's surface, such as oil and natural gas. Exploration of oil in a host community is not just an activity that is passed into budget overnight but an activity of high risk investment and risk assessment that is paramount for a successful project portfolio, oil exploration risk is a difficult concept and is usually defined by assigning confidence to the presence of the imperative geological factors.

The discovery of oil in the Badagry axis of Lagos has made the state one of the oils - producing state in Nigeria and the process of exploring and utilizing the discovered oil will bring a new phase of positive change and great benefit to the economy of the state thereby attracting more investors (both local and foreigners) and also creating an avenue for employment opportunities in the state most especially for the unemployed youths. Moreover it is important the state government does not target the revenue to be generated from these oil exploration activities alone but to key into the consideration of the consequences of this oil exploration.

One of the adverse effects is that the activities of the oil exploration companies can cause oil spillage if the government does not render adequate support and intense inspection as at due thereby causing pollution to the environment, water bodies, destroying crops and aquiculture through contamination of the groundwater and soils of the host community. A chairman in the house of committee on physical planning and urban development spoke at a meeting held by the Lagos assembly to protect host communities “ I hope communities will not be devastated, fishing activities would be affected in the area if the government does not do anything about it.

There is need for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) on the discovery to know what would eventually happen to our people when exploration commences”. However, it is well - known that most of the people living in the host communities make their living and contribute immensely to the economic growth of the state through agriculture such as farming and fishing, so if their source (water bodies, land) is abused and contaminated with oil spillage, definitely a sector (Agricultural sector) had been affected negatively for another sector (Oil producing sector) to take off its positive effect which can cause the economic growth of the state to fall or either fluctuate and exposing the host communities to economic hardship.

It is also of great expectation that the state government learns from the past, for instance, the incident of oil spillage that occurred in the Niger Delta Region many years back recorded that the oil spills were caused from tanker accidents, sabotage, inadequate or non-functional production equipment, corrosion of pipelines and tankers. It was also recorded that oil siphoning increased during this period, while the popularity of selling stolen oil increases, the number of deaths also increased, in late December 2016 more than 200 people were killed in Lagos Region of Nigeria in an oil line explosion due to pipeline vandalism.

The oil spillage also affected the state ecosystem, the rain forest which previously 2 occupied 7,400km of land was eroded, the consumption of dissolved oxygen by bacteria feeding on the spilled hydrocarbons also contributed to death of fish. People in the affected areas complained about health issues including breathing problems and skin lesions; many as lost basic human right such as health, access to balanced diet, clean water and an ability to work. Another adverse effect is the high possibility of oil degradation of environment which can affect the business of the people in the host community for instance oil spillage on farm land can cause farm produce to get contaminated and plants to develop retarded & stunted growth. Which means that the state government must be fully prepared to prevent the repetition of the past agitation in the Niger Delta Region over environmental degradations.

However, before exploration can commence in Lagos, all necessary infrastructures must be put in place to protect the state and host communities. Secondly the government officials must hold a stakeholder's meeting which would bring the host communities of the oil exploring areas and the investors of the oil exploration companies together in other to avoid chaos and hazard which can cause conflict in the nearest future, the meeting must be basically channeled through the state pro - activeness in protecting the host communities from environmental degradation within the area of exploration and also look into the socio - economic importance of the exploration of oil in the state and other related issues. The state government must also put all hands on deck with the security operatives of the state to ensure that there is maximum security in the host communities of the oil exploration companies not excluding the oil pipelines in other to avoid vandalism, oil bunkering, black markets, oil siphoning and so on and so forth.

Safeguarding the state at large should also bring about the construction of very long-lasting transportation networks for the marketing of oil - produce because bad road networks can cause tanker accidents which can lead to an explosion thereby causing inferno to shops, companies, houses and can also lead to premature death of the state citizens. Before oil exploration begins, the state government should pass into law the consequences of citizens that’s been caught amidst oil pipeline vandalism, selling of black market and so on i.e any one caught in the bizarre act won’t be spared out and will face the wrath of the law with thorough slapping across the face. In conclusion, to make oil exploration a favorable sector for generating revenue for the state, the sector must bring about safety and protection to the host communities and also safeguard the state at large from hazardous and release of toxic substance by the oil companies because the material resources of the state can't be attaining its maximum level of production while the human resources of the state are gradually diminishing to its minimum level of production, both the human resources and material resources must be at equilibrium and also be taken care of by the state government.

EducationSNIPER FLUID - Beyond Our Fear By Com. Ademola Mayowa Joseph by TeamLeader112(op): 11:32pm On May 23, 2017
ARTICLE: SNIPER FLUID - Beyond Our Fear
AUTHOR: Ademola Mayowa Joseph
DATE PUBLISHED: Tuesday, 23rd of May, 2017.

The intake of SNIPER fluid nowadays by youth (Mostly undergraduates) in Nigeria is getting too unbearable, news trending online about the death of youths depict that its cause is from the intake of SNIPER fluid and the government is not proffering any solution to curb this impudent act that is wreaking havoc on the potential of most youths who are likely to be the leaders of this nation in the nearest future. We now live in a society where people tend to give up on their hurdle easily, we live in a community were SNIPER fluid is the only one-way ticket to finding solutions to life dilemmas. I wonder why SNIPER fluid that is initially manufactured for killing insects and rats in the house is now the fluids people take in to halt the challenges that life pose at them.

Taking a critical glance at this issue, it is known that an insane man wandering about the street dares not take in the deadly fluid “SNIPER”, don’t they have a greater challenge than us who are walking on the street with sanity. We have our wisdom, knowledge and understanding intact but we can’t make exploit of them in solving life challenges, we then sit back to think SNIPER fluid is the only way out. Who in this whole wide world have never encountered the kind of setback you are facing right now, have you ever met those who are now in high places today to ask of how they came about having headway in the hurdle of life. Even biblically, we were made to know that “In the world we will find tribulation, but we should be of good cheer………”

Let’s believe that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel but not everyone lives to see the light, this illustrate that everybody has a dazzling future but not everybody has the capability of scaling through the challenges and stumbling block attached to it. Let’s always remember that life is a puzzle, we need to solve it; life is a problem, we need to find solution to it; life is a game, we need to play along with it. In life, it is either you come up with a reason or you come up with a result, it is either you come up with excuses or you come up with achievement, it is either you go through life blaming or you come up with solutions, which category do you fit into?

Yes, the bullying you get from people around you (both far and near) about the present hurdle you are passing through may be quite excruciating but taking SNIPER fluid isn’t the solution let alone tagging it as the best. There are people out there you can meet for counseling that will relief you from your emotional trauma, many of us who get intimidated by people are ignorant of the fact that it’s when people have foreseen how intense their star would glow if eventually they make it life, these set of people will decide to threaten the life of an individual till he or she feels frustrated and decide to commit suicide of which they think taking SNIPER fluid is the fastest route. You don’t have to give up for your enemy; you don’t have to go to the end of the world by sparing your life for people who threatens it. If because people are tossing your life around like a die making the world a hell for you, you decide to take in SNIPER fluid and you end up giving up the ghost, won’t that enemy of yours be alive to threaten others, “Known angels are better than unknown angels.”
Stand up and defeat them, look at them in the face and challenge them, let them know that you have the potential in you. Life is a battle, the world is the arena, but we tend to run away from the world just because of the fear of been killed on the battle field only to end up gulping SNIPER fluid and finally kiss the dust, does this make any common sense? Why don’t you remain in the battle field and fight with an optimistic view of winning the battle. Believe in yourself, believe that your future is very bright, have the view that your future holds more for you than what you are facing now, it is because you have a great future that is why the enemy surrounding you is umpteen. Have you ever study the light and discovered that the more the light, the more the darkness surrounding it, the light will never go dim or adjust itself because the darkness wants to comprehend it, they will rather engage in a battle, this is how your life should be, emulate the characteristics of a light.

SNIPER fluid is not the solution to your difficulties; the solution to your problem is you. The power to triumph over intimidation, threat, menace is in you, the resources had been deposited in you, it left for you to make exploit of them. I use this medium to urge the government to look into creating GOVERNMENT COUNSELING CENTERS where citizens who are experiencing emotional trauma can make reports and not medical centers alone, not every predicament needs medical attention, most of the problems youth are facing nowadays are emotional oriented. If parents menace you, if your friends intimidate you, if people around you castigate you, the government is there to attend to your situation; they know the law and would stand in gap for you.

SHUN the intake of SNIPER fluid
SHUN the abuse of this innocent insecticide.
It will exterminate your future.
It will end your life prematurely.
PoliticsNigeria's Economy Diversification By Com. Ademola Mayowa Joseph by TeamLeader112(op): 3:54am On May 15, 2017
Article - Nigeria's Economy Diversification
Author - Com. Ademola Mayowa Joseph
Date posted - Monday, 15th May, 2017

Related detailed explanation was made on
• Recent economic hardship in Nigeria.
• Diversifying Nigeria's economy.
• Nigeria's sector that needs regeneration
• Ways of diversifying Nigeria's economy through regeneration of diminishing sectors.

It’s obvious that the Nigeria economy is currently hitting maximum level of hardship of which has been trending with the economy trying to have an headway, the Nigeria economy in 2016 exceeded its maximum level of hardship to collide with economic recession which has already taken off in Nigeria today causing so many industrial sector to collapse, this as made the country vulnerable to shocks and danger of unsustainable growth. The economic hardship is due to the Federal Government ignorance on running a mono - economy policy (mainly crude oil) to generate revenue for the country and this has been causing inflation on products of the country, though the crude oil revenue has contributed substantially to Nigerian economy since its discovery in 1956. But the supply and demand of major importers from the country, has brought about the fall in the price of oil by more than 40% since June 2014 when it was $115 per barrel, which in 2015 was below $70, after five years of stability. Nigeria’s Federal Government still has the leisure time to make the economy attain its maximum level of sustainable growth and positive economic volatility only if the Federal Government can focus and implement on other sectors of the country through the process of diversification.

A diversified economy is an economy that has a number of different revenue streams and provides nations with the ability for sustainable growth because there is not a reliance on one particular type of revenue, the diversification of Nigeria economy will provide the nations with the security and reliability that they need so that if one economic revenue stream fails they have several other options to sustain the revenue income. The Federal Government needs to centralize and stabilize so many sectors before the economic growth of Nigeria can get to its maximum level of diversification, the Federal Government should focus on implementing new sectors as well as going about the discovery of new tactics in restoring the diminished sectors.

The agricultural sector is one of the major collapsed sectors in Nigeria and has contributed immensely to the economy of the nation positively in years back, the Federal Government as a very great role to play in the agricultural sector in the sense that it needs to re - allocate some farm resources, such as land, capital, fertilizers, insecticides, farm equipment and so on to farmers and youth in the community which will bring immense income to the revenue of the country as no man can do without food, the Federal Government also need to empower farmers and youth on the benefit of agriculture and its risk with ways of preventing them in order to inculcate in them tenacious ability and alacrity for study agriculture because of the nonchalant attitude of the Federal & State Government toward the sector and this has contributed immensely to the economy growth of the nation negatively. We now see Nigerian youth studying irrelevant courses at the Higher Institution.

The economy of Nigeria can also be reconstructed if the Federal Government can awake from its slumber to see that so many Nigerians had fled from the country to seek greener pasture abroad implementing their skills in the host countries thereby boosting their economic growth and also to the scientific and technological advancement of humanity while our country Nigeria is dying of economy starvation, Federal Government needs to encourage youths and adults' Nigerians abroad by reviving every production sectors with the aims of creating employment opportunities for the citizens of Nigeria which will attract them back to the country. Recent news recorded that the movement of Nigerian citizens out of the country abroad has tripled it’s original number which means the economy is gradually moving out of the country to boost foreign economy. Federal Government needs to take vivid actions on regenerating all non - functioning sectors in Nigeria. "When a highly qualified professional chooses to leave his own country for another, he does so for one or several legitimate political or economic reasons: peace and security for himself and his family, job satisfaction, education, better pay and conditions, higher standard of living etc." I think the Federal Government should look into the text in quote and aim at becoming a developed country and not an under - developed or developing country.
Diversifying the economy of Nigeria to be more favorable is also by reducing the cost of importing finished consumer products from foreign countries that could be source locally if efforts are made by the government to patronize made in Nigeria products. The Federal Government should immediately commence the production of a non - oil products in order to export goods which will generate more revenue to the nations economy. The debt Nigeria has in reserve as recorded, exceeded its level of revenue income that is why it is suffering from economic recession presently, though Americans also have high debt in reserve but the utilization of their resources has the capability of generating revenue that supersedes the debt they owe. We must not sit at the detriment of our economy watching foreigners migrating to Nigeria with only a briefcase and going back to his/her state with Nigeria resources to make money, Nigeria Government should say NO to this, our resources are not in constraint so we need to utilize them.

The power sector must be regenerated totally because it is pivotal to the economic development of the nation. Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa but only about 40% of the people are connected to the energy grid. The blackout that is occasioned by poor power generation has crippled the industrial sector, for instance when power fails, many workers may be trapped in the mines, so as soon as there is a risk of failure the operations are shut down, which leads to economic difficulties (kaseke & Hosking 2013). Poor power generation also causes problems on agriculture. Most irrigation lines are run by electricity, so when the power is cut out then the crop yield decreases, the power sectors most be regenerated before the economy of Nigeria can be diversified, so many investors has fled Nigeria for other countries to invest has there are blackouts in the country which is causing a set back to their products and this as affected the economy of Nigeria greatly.

Currently Nigeria uses four different types of energy sources for power generation and they include natural gas, oil, hydro and coal (Aliyu, Ramli & Saleh, 2013). The power generation sector is heavily dependent on petroleum as a method for electricity production which has slowed down the development of alternative forms of energy. The Nigerian federal government should also aim at fighting corruption in the country because it has been the utmost reason for economic hardship in the country, at least the gross domestic product of the country had been favorably positive and increasing years back, so the question is, were are the income that had been generated and reserved years back; and also were are the revenue generated from the exportation of goods year backs, this is a probing question that is needed to be acted upon. In conclusion the Nigerian Government should encourage reservation of wildlife and tourist centers, most of all the wild animals that ought to have been reserved for generating revenue to the economy of the country had been butchered and eaten by human who are naive and unwit. I think so many natural resources that have been gifted to Nigeria by God has been wasted years back that is why the country is going through economic recession presently. Hope the Federal Government act fast to make a diversifying economy.

Nigeria & Culture
A write up by
Com. Ademola Mayowa Joseph

Much of Nigeria's culture is based on traditions of the past, as Nigeria is known to be the largest and one of the most populous country in Africa and the 8 most populous country in the world with a population of about 162.5 million which has been increasing yearly due to the high fertility rate of the people, the grouping of Nigeria as a single entity was a constructed of the British colonizers.
The vast amount of population in Nigeria made it to have diverse ethnic groups with varieties of languages which makes Nigeria a multi - cultural country and the most interesting part is that all the varieties of ethnic groups in Nigeria never considered themselves part of the same culture. Culture as a unified whole is the way of life of people living in a specific area at a given time, culture as a pattern of human, and the symbol that gives these activities significance. It is what people eat, how they dress, beliefs they hold and activities they engage in, Nigerian artisans still make sculptures, masks, and baskets by hand.
Traditional music, dance, sports, and storytelling are also important to Nigerian life. Some writers use ideas from traditional folktales in new stories that they write. Cultures have been some distinguishing factors that differentiate people form their neighbors in terms of social, political, economic, aesthetic and religious norms and modes of organization.
General lacks of Nigeria nationalism coupled with an ever - changing and often ethnically biased national leadership, have led to severe internal ethnic conflicts and civil war. Nigeria has more than 520 languages and more than 1150 dialects and ethnic groups but there are only four major ethnic group which speaks more than 500 languages and are identified with wide varieties of culture, they are Yoruba who are predominant in the south - West, Hausa and Fulani who are predominant in the North, the Edo people who are predominant in the region between Yoruba land and Igbo land, and the Igbo who are predominant in the south - East and others are Birom, Efik, Fulani, Gwari, Ibinio, Idoma, Igala, Igbira, Ijaw, Itsekiri, Jukun, Kanuri, Katab, Margi, Nupe, Tiv, Urhobo - Isoko and so on and so forth.
Nigeria is famous for its English language which is widely accepted in Nigeria as the official language, 90% of Nigerians could speak and understand English language or otherwise the mixed one which is widely known as pidgins (cross - breed of English language), English language can then be translated into the dialects of different ethnic groups.
For instance Federal Republic of Nigeria can be translated to Hausa as Jamhuriyar Taraiyar Nijeriya, in Igbo as AhanjikA Ahaneze Naijiriya and in Yoruba as OrilA - Ede Olomi Niira AlaapapA Naijiria.
The major ethnic groups in Nigeria have varieties of occupation to source for living in sustaining growth, it can then be deduced that Nigeria has three main environmental regions, mainly the Savanna, Tropical forest and Coastal wetland. The environmental regions greatly affect the cultures of the people who live there, the dry, open grasslands of the savanna in the north make cereal farm and herding a way of life for the Hausa and the Fulani; the wet tropical forests to the south are good for farming fruits and vegetables which serves as main income producers for the Yoruba, Igbo and others in this area.
The small ethnic groups living along the coast, such as the Ijaw and the Kalabari are forced to keep their villages small due to lack of drylands, living among creeks, lagoons and salt marshes makes fish and the salt trade part of everyday life in the area. The Niger and Benue River come together in the center of the country, creating a "Y" that splits Nigeria into three separate sections, in general, this "Y" marks the boundaries of the three major ethnic groups, with the Hausa in the North, the Yoruba in the South - West and the Igbo in the South - East.
The people of Nigeria practice many different religions. Many are Muslim or Christian. Some follow traditional beliefs. Each religion has its own special holidays. Nigerian food embellishes a rich blend of traditionally African carbohydrates such as yam and cassava as well as vegetable soups made from native green leaves. Maize is another common crop that is grown in Nigeria. Garri is a powdered cassava grain that can be readily eaten as a meal and is quite cheap. Yam is either fried in oil or pounded to make a mashed potato like yam pottage. Nigerian beans, quite different form green peas, are widely popular. Meat is also popular and Nigerian Suya. Fermented palm products are used to make a traditional liquor, palm wine, as is fermented cassava. Some examples of traditional dishes are eba, pounded yams, iyan, fufu etc. with soups like okra, ogbono, egusi and so on. The music of Nigeria includes many kinds of folk and popular music, some of which are known worldwide. Traditional musicians use a number of diverse instruments, such as the Gongon drums. Other traditional cultural practices are found in the diverse varieties of Nigeria's masquerade, such as the Eyo masquerades, the Ekpe and Ekpo masquerade of the Efik/Ibibio/Annan/Igbo peoples of coastal southern - eastern Nigeria, and the Northern Edo Masquerades.

#PROMOTING THE READING CULTURE
Books are accessible organic material that contains indispensable knowledge that can improve optimism in human philosophy and vision towards their self and humanity at large. Books are affirmed to be crude in the sense that they contain unrefined facts; these facts can't become pivotal knowledge if not refined and redefined by a reader. After the reading, the reader relates important perception in the book into his/her way of life and begins to see his/her mental picture leap into reality. Reading and understanding books makes you to shrink back from the shuddering of inferiority complex thereby getting you amplified in having a sense of self-worth and self-fulfillment.
Everything in this world may actually take your last breath but books will never do so, books will never seize what you have but will precisely put in more to you. Books will always be in existence forever, future generations are going to access them and it will always be new everyday to those who seeks for knowledge. Make reading an element of your routine as from today henceforth, take possession of any books that you sight around you, it has nothing to do with your area of specialization, discipline or field, when you put this into custom, it begins to spur the use of your constructive and critical thinking. Don't be like those arbitrary students on campus who say
“I read to pass my examination.”
“No!” That's not how it should be.
Also make sure you desist from cramming concepts in books, read at your own personal pace, so that you can comprehend new ideas. Read to revolutionize and restructure your personality, with this you would be proficient of salvaging the people's life in the society from future disaster with the aid of finding relevant solutions to their dilemma. When you read other people's thoughts through their write up, you gets to know that you will always need to be happy every day of your life because you will never expect anything from anybody due to the fact that human beings are the most difficult set of people to manage.
Lay your hand on any book today, they are always interesting, books contain new ideas and fantasy that you as a person are not aware about, that's the main reason why when you are reading; you should always have an open mind and make your mind a cultivated ground for the seeds of new ideas to take their rooting growth in it. Don't forget that a close mind is a mind that knows it all, such a mind is always stagnant, but when you have an open mind, you keep on feeling curious about life thereby creating a spirit of inquiry in you, and this will then spur your personality in reading books.
Start reading today and always be pre-active in everything thing you do. As a student, make library a daily routine which you follow day in-day out, which is when you can enjoy your stay in your great institutions.

AutosGermany Launches Transparent Car (photos) by TeamLeader112(op): 10:03am On Jan 03, 2017
The world has changed and moving at a very
fast pace to catch up with the future cars
drive themselves and plane flight without
human pilots.
The big question among automakers is
whether they will be the ones to provide new
technologies — and profit from them — or will
major tech companies like Google and Apple
take a slice of the industry. For now, the two
sides are balancing cooperation against
competition as they gauge what the future
holds.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra succinctly
expressed a common view, asserting that
“we will see more change in the industry in
the next five to 10 years than we have in the
last 50.”
Dieter Zetsche, the head of Daimler AG,
described the car and technology companies
as being “frenemies.”
If Apple or Google starts making cars —
something neither has said it intends to do —
“then we are competitors.” New technologies
could lead to all sorts of innovations, such as
real-time navigating around a slippery stretch
of road and eliminating the need for a home
garage by having cars drive themselves to
people who summon them through a mobile
app.
Another technology that is fast making the
new is this transparent car of ZF company
equipped with different security systems is
presented on the second press day of the
Frankfurt Auto Show IAA Frankfurt, Germany.

BLAMING THE GIRL CHILD: A BOGUS ASSERTION
COM. ADEMOLA MAYOWA JOSEPH

Early last week, I was at a shopping mall to get some beverages just to keep myself warm during this wintry weather season, but to my greatest gob smack, I sighted a young woman who had with her a little girl who happens to be her daughter, she was precisely within the age range of six to eight, I thought. The mother was busy cataloging cloth to be purchased for her little daughter; the cloth seems so licentious for such a little girl.

Each moment the mother lays her hand on varieties of indecent cloth, she asked the daughter if she appreciated it, but the little girl who don’t know how to differentiate good quality from bad quality would go ahead to say YES since she knew her mother can never choose for her anything that seems to be dire.

I can pledge to say that the mother bought apparels of about twenty-five thousand for her daughter, and 90% of the attires were too indecent for such a little girl who seems to be naive. I wonder what kind of garb such girl would attempt to buy for herself when she grows up to her adolescent stage, when such a girl is been cautioned in the society for indecent dressing, she tends to overlook them because she does not take what she does as an awful thing.

We thereafter go around blaming the girl child, not knowing it was the fault of the parent, most especially the mothers. I urge the federal government to please encourage effective family education before marriage, because so many bust into marriage all in the name of love without focusing on the fruit such a love is going to bear, I can intrepidly say that many parent don't know how to bring up a child.

I was also going to greet a friend at Bariga area of Lagos state when I sighted this woman beating her daughter of almost certainly eighteen all in the name of reprimand; she blamed her for wearing indecent dressing in the society. It is of paramount affirmation that it was those kinds of indecent clothing the girl was brought up with or the moment she was going wayward, the parent tends to ignore her. The moment things got worse with her was when they knew it was time to make alteration.

Many parents nowadays speak fallacies, hoax and bogus statement about sex to their little girl child thinking they are educating them to take flight away from boys, urging them not to relate with men, I think they are really making a great slip-up that can cause hazard to the girl-child in the future.

We need to tell the truth behind sex to our children so that they can go by the law, let’s join hands together to tell them the truth. When parent tell lies about some pivotal issues to a girl child and the society speaks the truth, the girl child would rather believe her parent than the society. With this, parents are to be blamed for a girl who goes wayward in behavior because if such a girl is examined, the dilemma will boil down to the family background.

I also use this medium to encourage our parents to please be very wide awake and on guard about our girl child whereabouts, they are very crucial to the society, I was at a friend’s house two months ago to pay him a visit, as I was about stepping out to buy bread at a grocery shop adjacent our apartment, I saw a boy and a girl of precisely three years of age and deep-rooted to be from the same parent, they were kissing their self on a lengthy bench outside the edifice while their mother was washing dirty cloths beside them and was unaware.

I can't really say about what such child could practice in the society when they grow up to be an adolescent due to the fact that such child would have been exposed to some adult materials or activities while they were indoor or where they go to amuse them self.

This is why I’m urging our mothers, I precisely focus on the mothers because I think they are the one most concerned, that is why I’m using them as a benchmark to children’s waywardness due to the fact that fathers are not always at the domicile, please lets be very much careful about where our children go and what they recreate with, especially the girl child.

And also to the parent at large, let’s Endeavor to keep away from little children, all material that seems to be for adult and any adult activities that goes on when we think the children are not aware. Children are very smart, so parents BEWARE!!!

Together we can protect the girl child and together we can secure their future.

ONE NIGERIA.

PoliticsPresident Buhari Is Not A Setback To This Nation - Com. Ademola Mayowa by TeamLeader112(op):
PRESIDENT BUHARI IS NOT A SETBACK TO THIS NATION

Ademola Mayowa Joseph

Millions cried, thousands yelled, hundreds wailed to the present administration for not meeting up to its expectation as required from them, they kept on jerking the blame on him for failing to fulfill all the promise he has made during its campaigns, many made bogus statements that it was just a campaign line of attack to wining most of the votes, likewise many condemned him to be incompetent in been a leader but neither did we reflect back to scrutinize how past administrations have affected the present administration either favorably or unfavorably before we start condemning.

I think it’s high time we need to stop been ignorant of knowledge that are so much readily pivotal to us in terms of having an in-depth and insightful thinking about issues before we give remarks, many believe they are tarnishing the image of the President of Nigeria by off-putting him with taunts but little did they know that they are gradually digging their grave.
Nigeria today is going through economic crisis, downturn, hardship, recession not because of this present administration but of past administrations who had looted away the treasure of this nation were money is been sourced from years back, I think all we need as a good citizen of this nation is to speak well of the President and his contingents by giving them a mark of distinction for their good works in moving this nation forward and also urging them to help us in convalescing back the nations treasure.

Using this medium, I urge Nigerian citizens to halt the condemnation and blaming of the President of this Nation, President Muhammadu Buhari and his regime for bringing failure as an agent of change, it is of utmost assertiveness that no one would ever crave to be a failure but rather, to be a successor.

To begin with, as I have said earlier that Nigeria's treasury had been looted away many years back by some unknown administration that have ruled this nation whose cabinet consist of egocentric politicians as leaders, this has made Nigeria to be frozen and if adequate care is not taken, it will crash like MMM Scheme because when the treasure was looted and all the revenues of the nation swindled the little amount of income left was what the nation had been managing without any awareness, now the revenue is decelerating to its minimal rate and almost hitting zero level which was when the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari took over the lead.

All we think to be the solution to the problem we are facing is to go about blaming an innocent man who has nothing to do with failure but to move the Nation forward. If we don't detest from blaming this regime for failure and look for a way out of solving the problem we are in this nation, we will continue to remain in this predicament, recession will elevate to depression, furthermore, if the looted Treasure of this nation is not recovered and the culprit been brought to book, Nigeria will never come back to its initial status quo.

Many people we tag in the society to be dignitaries, politicians, honoraries, wealthy, rich and so on and so forth are surviving this hard time under the umbrella of another citizens’ wealth which must have been labored for so many years, many innocent people of this great nation, who ought to have moved this nation forward are in jail due to bad governance.

So many have been assassinated by people of high class in the society and their properties looted away, some have made the psychriatic home a place if their shelter while most have been kidnapped just because of a layman who wants to be known in the society. Many Nigeria politicians who have ruled this nation are squandering our money, living an extravagant life when so many are on the street looking for job merely for them to meet with the standard of living.

Likewise, Many people condemn and blame the poor in the society for been the architect of their life, it’s not that they aren't doing anything, they are actually doing something, but the something turns to nothing when they violate parental and constitutional laws which makes all their effort seems effortless.

The only way out of the plight we are in Nigeria is to plead with the Federal government to help us in reinstating the country's treasure by diversifying the economy because it will be very hard for a country who run a mono-economic system to survive, all sectors in Nigeria need to be recuperated so that if one fails, others will strike the balance.

To the populace, we are all Nigerians, if this country is first-rated, we will also be first-rated, if the country also go haywire, it will also go haywire for us, because we are all in this hardship together. So to prevent crises, I plead with us to put all hands on deck with this present regime so that this nation can get to its destination soon as we expect.

Mr. President, we hail you for your good works in moving this nation to its promise land even if so many are wailing over you, they tends to focus on your bad side that is why they never see good in your works. But we see thy good works that is why we the good citizen of this nation commemorate you this day, we believe in you and in the most high we trust. Seeing is believing, believing in a dream, dreaming of discovering and discovering our treasure. We look forward to seeing a better 2017 Mr. President, hope your budget suites the nation and take us to that goal we have all been hoping for.
