With the current situation in the country with regards to the Naira redesign cum scarcity, I bet we're all facing the negative effects in one way or the other. While some are applauding the policy, citing the long term postive effect which is centered on curbing vote buying and some security excesses, others are screaming to high heavens on the negative side effects which entails the needless suffering it has brought on the masses. Regardless of the side you're on, you're absolutely right. However, what if the CBN was wrong from the onset. What if there was no need to redesign the currency in the first place. Follow me as we explore the what-if angle to this economic brouhaha and how we could have maybe achieved way more with less. 1. What if instead of redesigning the naira, the CBN had sent out a secret memo to banks to pay out lower denominations of the naira to customers with #200 being the highest for a period of time. 2. What if 3 weeks after the secret memo the CBN makes an announcement that the higher denominations which includes #1000 & #500 will seize to be legal tender in 60 days that all customers should proceed to the banks to deposit those in their accounts. 3. What if the CBN placed a maximum amount that can be deposited to the banks say #1m cash and that anything higher should be deposited to the CBN with forms to be filled just like how it's been done at the moment. I believe the above would have helped achieve the main purpose of the whole policy while also cushioning the effects of the negative side. For instance: i. There won't be a need to waste money in redesigning the naira instaed print more lesser denominations. ii. The old #200 and lesser denominations will be more in circulation, thereby discouraging the need for cash hoarding, which will in turn solve the cash crisis and exorbitant charges from POS operators. iii. This will also encourage cashless transactions as people will embrace bank transfers and available alternatives like Mobile money as it doesn't make sense to move around with plenty of cash (imagine 10k in #50 denominations. I'll rather do transfer abeg ). iv. It will also benefit the people in the rural areas that will take some time to embrace cashless transactions due to lack of facilities, e.g, Internet access. v. Vote buying will be curbed to a large extent because cash hoarders will be busy explaining to the CBN how they were able to amass their billions in cash while elections are going on peacefully. vi. Insecurity, especially kidnapping, will be less lucrative. Imagine showing up with #10m ransom in #50 denominations. Are you playing? Who wan count all these bags of money? In essence, the CBN policy, albeit being a good one, was poorly thought out and implemented in a hurry without considering the negative effects on the populace. What do you think? |

Over the years and with a lot of experience, I have always wondered why people cheat. Especially in seemingly perfect relationships where people get basically everything they've ever desired in a partner. I have come to realize that; Staying faithful in a relationship has more to do with discipline than love. People can genuinely love you and still cheat on you if they lack sexual discipline. True or false? What do you think? |
constance500:Lol this got me laughing hard. OP at 31 you should be clear on what you want in life and not be impressed by number of free pussies you're smashing. Tread carefully coz in the end no matter the outcome it still won't be worth it, especially when that outcome turns out badly for you. Do not underestimate how toxic people can be. However if you chose to go ahead and be banging both of them, please for your own good state clearly to them that you don't want anything very serious at the moment that you just want to see how it goes. After all girls no too get choice like that when it comes to situations like this. Them go still chest am! More pussies to your dick until you figure out yourself. Cheers ! |
How silly! I remember back then during my NYSC days, I remember vividly how one babe wanted us to have SEX inside Living Faith Children Church ! The children unit building was in same compound with the Corper's Lodge, seperated from the main church by a tall fence. On this fateful evening, at around 8pm ish, this babe called me to join her in doing some work at the church. I was helping her innocently when all of a sudden the lights went off. B4 you know it one thing led to the other and this babe started kissing me. I returned the kiss and it felt so good. I fondled her soft breasts, with my hands searching for her hard nipples while still locked in a kiss with her awesome wet lips. My dick was solid hard like rock and the atmosphere was tense, next thing she grabbed my dick and inserted it in her mouth. It was so cool and felt like heaven hmmm....She sucked me for a few minutes, using her tongue to do some magic on me and I just couldn't resist. Next thing babe pulled down her trousers, shifted her G-strings and wanted to insert my cock in her already soaked puna omo It was at that moment my senses came back and I had to immediately take control of myself and said God 4bid for inside Church? Nooo. She insisted. I had to resist her with full force last last and left her there. It was indeed a crazy experience for me and I thank God I was able to stop myself coz I almost couldn't. Some Girls are crazy ! |
It's so sad that this blessed country is nothing but a joke Really sad and heart breaking |
The way all the news is being reported from one perspective makes me wonder the intention of these media houses. People are dying, access to food and basics have been denied to people and civilians are trapped. Stop making it seem like Ukraine is winning. Stop fanning the war. The media should report the Ugly side of things, encourage peace talks and Russia needs to withdraw ASAP. How can you invade a sovereign nation ? Imagine waking up to lose everything you have ever worked for and your cities are being left in ruins that all you have to be grateful for is managing to escape with your life. This war is totally uncalled for. Stop the madness Putin ! |
AfricaNigerian:Sup bro. I would love if you can share the contact of this Chinko vendors with me. |
This is an act of love and kindness. The type that will open up heavenly blessings for you. This is exactly what Christ wants us to be about, unconditional love. Not tithing and expecting blessings in return. You can't say you love God and give to expect something in return, LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL ! This is the kind of love Christ demands from us. The greatest commandment is LOVE and not threatening people everyday with death and hell fire like Righteousness2. |
The early churches and missionaries came with schools, hospitals and even employed most of our grand parents back in the days and they brought these things at the cost of what? Tithes and offerings? I GUESS NOT. You see when the Missionaries came, they knew we didn't have so they GAVE ! They sacrificed themselves in the midst of barbarism & cannibalism amongst natives, in the midst of Malaria and other deadly diseases infested Africa to bring The Word and the basics to our people for FREE. But what do we have today in the name of Religion? Isn't it funny that when church members are in need they are to cry to God, but when the church is in need then it cries to the members to make donations ![]() |
I watched your video sir, but unfortunately you failed to mention how to actually make #10,000 daily on Binance. I think your topic should have rather being 'HOW TO BUY USDT USING BINANCE P2P' because that is the only thing you have demonstrated in the video. You failed to mention where or how you sell Usdt for #600 thereby totally defeating the whole point of the video. |
jamesversion:No sir, I can't. I am self employed. I hit the gym almost everyday from 7 to 8:30 am |
zedegit:Not yet, but it is my next target. I am just being lazy about it. |
Leg days for me are the sweetest days...The pain when walking down the stairs or trying to climb is on another level entirely lol. Still in pains from the last one I did yesterday but that won't stop me from going tomorrow coz today was strictly upper body. Fitness is life ! |
Don't try it man. Stay back in Nigeria, like someone mentioned earlier, learn a digital skill and be making money from the comfort of your home. There are so many out there, buy some of these courses, do research, YouTube is your friend ! You can't make that move just because of that small moni na when you can earn more than that weekly. Lemme tell you, Nigeria is one of the freest places to live on earth. Stop sleeping all through the night, Youtube is the best University that will teach you life changing skills that will fetch you money. Use your head sir and do research. No try am go o I no go happy with u o. Buy courses online, watch plenty YouTube videos on different digital skills you can acquire. It's only a lazy man that thinks all businesses need capital. From buying courses, reading books and research you will be opened to a whole new world of possibilities. I used to earn 25k monthly working from 8am to 7pm everyday including Saturdays, but today I make between 30-100k daily from just 1 of my businesses which I run from the comfort of my home, and guess what, I didn't start with any capital o. Now that is just 1 business. I make so much more daily from applying one of the numerous knowledge I acquired all from YouTube. Abeg I no wan talk again. Go do research. |
Stop trying to make the president look bad. The North is healing ![]() |
GlorifiedGod:Let's even assume your story is true. So somebody in 500L in EKSU cannot look for a lecturer in the school but rather it is you that is here looking for lecturer on nairaland. Your story is still not adding up ! Good morning to you too. |
Great. Hope it is sustained though and not just for the gram. The next focus should be those Abokis living by Tap Junction. Open defecation on the center of the high way should be condemned in its entirety. Abokis must learn to live like normal civilized human beings and stop messing up people's places. |
I have serious doubts about your story. Somebody in 400L who you claim dropped out should have enough information and connection in school to know that deferment is a better option than dropping out and should already know how to go about it. Same with the one in 500L so my dear your story is not adding up. |
Why don't you allow Jesus speak for himself? He is being so quiet that there has been a lot of confusion lately. So many unanswered questions. Why can't he speak for himself the way the christians asks the muslims to allow their God fight for them? |
Nothing to see here, the North is healing ! Stop trying to make the President look bad ![]() |
Not only in Lagos. It's a Nationwide practice. They hold you for no reason and try to extort you. When they can't you will be detained till you give in to their request. Nigeria is a failed state. It's only in Nigeria that the Police collect money from motorists plying the roads (that the governments have refused to fix), struggling to make ends means amidst soaring cost of living and insecurity. What a great nation with unfortunate leadership! |
Nothing to see here, the North is healing! Stop trying to make the President look bad. |
Okay we have heard you sir |
Nice one |
Lol |
Angelfrost:You are absolutely correct. However following the argument I quoted, it was on the context of Religion and I can boldly say that modern day Religion has contributed almost nothing to societal development. Maybe worldly stuffs don't matter or does it when it comes to acquiring properties and luxuries by so called Religious leaders? It is indeed both sad and laughable. |
emmykingzy:Yes I agree with you, however these early churches brought these things at the cost of what? Tithes and offerings? I guess not. You see when the early churches came, they knew we didn't have so they GAVE ! But you will agree with me that today's churches have totally derailed from the examples set by Jesus and also that of the early Christians. Even that of the missionaries that sacrificed themselves in the midst of barbaric & cannibistic natives, in the midst of Malaria and other deadly diseases infested Africa to bring the word and the basics to our people. But what do we have today in the name of Religion? |
Where are the feminists? Abi gender equality doesn't count when it comes to fighting herdsmen and bandits? |
Hmm |
...While we celebrate railways and 2% reduction in gas price (After initial 100% increase). The life of an average Nigerian has fast lost its value under this administration. Buhari & his cabinets including supporters are indeed shameless. Give it 48hrs and we'll move on from this probably with news of more attacks cum death tolls from the Northern region. Buhari we hail thee ! |
