mzapplication:Hi sis, Congrats! I'm in the process of filing a similar application - PBS Tier 2 Dependant - to join my wife and would like a few clarification: - Was the category you chose 'Tier 2 General Partner' or 'Tier 2 General Migrant?' - In terms of the COS, my understanding from my wife is that it's a number, did you provide any print copy of any sort? - The bank statement from your hubby, did they have to be stamped from the bank? Or could they be sent to me to print and submit along with my application? - For your own bank statements showing evidence of maintenance fee, did you have to provide any additional letter from your bank? Or did the statements suffice? - The IHS, I haven't seen anywhere on the application form for where I can pay or anything to its effect. When do I encounter this? Thanks |
nomad26:Hello, Please, in view of my Tier 2 Dependant UK visa to join my wife, I'd like you to help clarify the following: (1) The CoS - from what I know is just a number. Is there any doc of any sort that one needs to print out? (2) IHS or NHS - I haven't seen anything to its effect during my application filling. Where and how do I make the payment? Thanks |
oyb:Please I would like to know if it works fine in Satellite town. I stay around Unipetrol estate. |
Hello, Please, I would like a Portuguese (European or Brazilian) tutor in Lagos for one-on-one classes. My preference is for one who can teach a non-speaker to acquire proficiency in spoken communication. Thank you. |
darfay:I have a team of illustrators and animators who can work on it. We need to get someone who's good at the Isoko language to voice each lesson. It's something we can do for the beautiful Isoko culture. |
Interesting. I used to have an Isoko neighbour. If we can get a volunteer who is good at speaking Isoko, I could get my team to make videos of Isoko lessons in animated form and publish on YouTube for ease of access. Let's work towards it. |
Hi, I just came across your post. While you can do with a personal tutor, I'd like to recommend the Yoruba101 app for iOS and Android built by my team. Briefly, it's an interactive Yoruba learning app for newbies. It uses lots of games to get you acquainted to the language and culture. Read more here http://www.geniigames.com/games/yoruba101/ . Let me know what you think. Thanks. |
Hi all, I'm a developer who's looking to target the Diaspora market with my apps hence, a shift to the iOS platform. However, I'd like to know the possibility of integrating my Nigerian bank account say GTB with the app store thus accepting payments made for my apps. I heard the iTunes is now available in Nigerian hence, apps can be purchased. I'd like to know if this means restricting my apps to Nigerians alone even though I'd like to see it targeted beyond that. Any developer with experience distributing paid apps on iTunes, please respond. Thanks. |
Hello, I am pleased to introduce to you a set of Android apps recently released by "Àsà" (www.geniigames.com) to promote and preserve our African culture. There are 2 apps on the google play store i.e. 'aYoruba' teaching the basics of yoruba language and 'African folktales' with a collection of popular African folktales. The links to the apps are aYoruba: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.aYoruba&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImFpci5hWW9ydWJhIl0. African Folktales: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asa.folktales#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDIxMiwiY29tLmFzYS5mb2xrdGFsZXMiXQ.. The developers of the apps would love for the community to help spread the word, try them out and give feedback. Many thanks.

Hello fam, I'll be relocating to Badagry for some web jobs in a week's time and seek to find out beforehand which internet connection will best serve me. My experience over there reveals the likes of Starcoms, Swift, IPnx do not work or if they do as with Starcoms, the connectivity is virtually inconsistent. No doubt, the town has been slow to catch up with development unlike other parts of Lagos. Please, I'd like to hear from anyone who works from Badagry or who's had to work from there so I can get reliable info as to which internet connection to settle for. Thanks. |
Hello peops, I', on the verge of developing a full fledged website for a secondary school and need help with how best to. I'm pretty good with dreamweaver but a newbie to CMS vis-a-vos joomla. I've since discovered a good number of CMSes but would like to ask which best serves my purpose considering the modules and plugins that may be needed to make the site all encompassing as a school management system. I'd appreciate help with templates, extensions alongside the tool. References, links, samples all are welcome. Thanks |

Hello folks, Here's requesting for a sound illustrator in Abeokuta. Experience in comic illustration will be an added advantage. Also, a portfolio of your works would help. Thanks in view of your response. |
Hello, Here's requesting for the services of professional animators and graphics artists. Skills proficiency in Adobe products specifically Adobe Flash, illustrator etc. In the area of animation, good knowledge of ActionScript 3.0 scripting language. How do I create a game that is controlled by a plug-in USB game controller? I already have the scripting done for the game itself. I just want to know how I would script it to be controlled by a USB game controller. |
Okay bro Already downloaded. Please send over the resources. Just wondering, have you developed desktop applications using flash technology as I intend to? I can be reached on slickbayo@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks and God bless. |
Hello peops, I'm a proficient adobe flash developer but my works have been limited to web and interactive presentation designs. Right now, I'd like to know if I could develop desktop applications which can be installed like a regular software similar to what obtains with java, vb etc. I'm very good at actionscript so I'd like to know if it's possible without having to pick up another language. Also, how secured can this applications be? Do let me know of the possibilities and packages or tools I could leverage upon. Thanks and God bless. |
Hello folks, I only recently moved to Badagry, Lagos and my Starcoms EVDO rarely works there. I think they don't have a 3G mast in Badagry hence, I only sparingly have access to the connection which turns up at snail speed if at all it connects. I'm looing to go for any of glo, mtn, etisalat or airtel but I need to be sure of its effectiveness specifically in Badagry. Please folks, I'm calling on anyone who knows anything about the effectiveness of any of this networks to give me a tip. I tried getting info on the type of mast any of them have in Badagry to no avail, Please, which should I go for to guarantee me of consistent connection and speed? |

Hello folks. Please i need a corel x4 serial n activation code that works. Please folks. Thanx. |
Hello folks, I'm a newbie to Joomla and my self-lessons had been going on smoothly until lately when i encountered some limitations with the built-in editor (TinyMCE). It's very limiting for me as i can't seem to add media files as flash plus not enough format options, and i was wondering if the problem has anything to do with my installation or Joomla version (1.5.20). I tried using another built-in editor called X-Standard Lite 2.0 but it's not even showing even after publishing. I need help with knowing what the problem is. Thanks. |
I am avid flash fan and presently working on an interactive project that's bound to be quite sizable. But whenever my fla file reaches about 3MB (which is just a fraction of the intended size of the project file), i get an error prompt that says "Flash CS3 has stopped working" when i try testing or publishing my movie. Initially, i thought it was a Vista issue but the same occurs on an XP run system too. I also used a 2Gb RAM system to no avail. This is such a major setback for my project and i need to figure out where the problem lies and the solution. |
I have two files A.swf and B.swf written in ActionScript 2 and 3 seperately. In the A.swf, i have a button btnA which loads the B.swf and in the latter, i have a button btnB which loads the A.swf. My dilema is that it works perfectly well in ActionScript 2.0 using the codes below while i have display issues with that written in AS3. In Action Script 2.0, i could load either A.swf or B.swf using the codes below and when i do, the calling swf is replaced by the called. on (release) { loadMovieNum("A.swf", 0); } on (release) { loadMovieNum("B.swf", 0); } Presently, i use ActionScript 3.0 and loading the external movie using the loader class presents a dilema as the calling swf remains in the background thus, obstructing the called's display view. Here's a look at my code for both movies: btnA.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,loadB); function loadB(evt:MouseEvent):void{ var swfRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("B.swf" ;var swfLoader:Loader = new Loader(); swfLoader.load(swfRequest); addChild(swfLoader); } btnB.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,loadA); function loadA(evt:MouseEvent):void{ var swfRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("A.swf" ;var swfLoader:Loader = new Loader(); swfLoader.load(swfRequest); addChild(swfLoader); } I've tried using the addChildAt() method too but the calling movie remains in the background. |

Hello my all-too-reliable nairalanders. Many thanks for your help since my last post on a related issue. So far, i've managed to get a good hand on lading external movies, thanks to the "Loader" class on ActionScript 3. My major challenges now are as follows: 1. I need to know aw to make my .exe file appear in fullscreen and without the "minimize, maximize n close" buttons on the window appearing. I've seen so many interactive CDs share same similarity with only an EXIT button saddled with the function. 2. I need your hlp with creating an EXIT button to close the exe file. 3. Lastly, aw can i link my intro page to the rest of the movie? Presently, wen i use the Loader class, the intro page which is an external movie someaw remains in the background of the loaded movie. Thanks for anticipated response, i've come a long way n i know i'm only a few steps away. |

Hello folks, i'm a proficient flash user with a basic knowledge of Action Script 3.0. My major challenge is building interactive CD using flash. I've seen a couple of theses CDs to know they are nothing but a combination of swf files published as a single executable file. My major challenge is exactly how to do this. I can actually publish single files but how can i combine multiple swf files including sounds and links (more like websites) to make a wholly interactive exe file. |
