Hello techsavy1, I guess you submitted your expired passport since you’ve submitted all your documents to nvc already, however, you’ll need to get a new passport as fendorf advised. They will ask for your new passport during your interview but make sure you go along with the old passport you submitted.

Thank you for your response. The passport has not expired yet. It expires in November. Are you saying I just go ahead and get a new one now and have the one I submitted my documents with cancelled?

My passport expires in November and I am yet to be scheduled for interview. I have submitted all documents to NVC, just waiting for interview. Is it advisable to get a new passport and update after I get interview date? Basically when is the best time to introduce a new passport?
