Interesting!!..

I see that this whole thing has taken an unsavory turn.
Oh well, every mallam with his own kettle undecided
As for me, I shall endeavor to give full disclosure on any sale; and if anyone benefits from regging something similar..it is to the glory of the Most High.

Case in point "Hire//VAs" and "Hire - VAs"

#Peace..

This might be the reason and I wouldn't blame anyone for hiding what is sold because of it. However, someone should always have abundance mindset.

On this case of sales report,Icausetrouble used to report sales with name but the reason why he stop doing that is unknown at least I know of mellow//tiger and truth/or/die and some others I can't remember.
So what I will ask now is there any reason why you stop reporting with name cos you still promise someone here you're going to reveal the name of a sales report you posted after the money hits your account.
Oh, he is the seller of MellowTiger?

I remember that name. I thought he had never revealed anyone. However, on such a note, he should have just mentioned that he used to reveal but stopped for a reason and that is understandable.

And if I had to stop revealing names sold for a reason, I would rather not give price and blur out or hide what I sold because at the end of the day, it is no different from not showing anything at all.

Some persons are already saying this is an attack or beef but this person is not someone you can blackmail into submission. Now picture this...

The first domain thread, everyone says they sold a domain name for $$$$ but didn't say what was sold, the next person comes did the same, and every other person does the same, nobody is saying what is sold.

You as a newbie come on the thread, you look around and noticed it is the norm, would you be motivated to even give it a try or you will exit the thread after your patience runs out?

Most of you trying to gaslight or bully others into submission are only doing so out of selfishness because you ALREADY KNOW domaining above average standard. Assuming you were starving of the knowledge you won't even support such a trend or attitude because you know it will not benefit you at the end of the day. You would rather gravitate towards those who are revealing what is sold, people like Iyke, Uche, haykay

So why are you encouraging it? Oh, I get it. You know domaining already and therefore, to hell with those that are just starting. You fail to realise that IF the thread starter towed this same line, you won't be here, neither would you have any domain sales to your name. But you are supporting a trend that would have killed your spirit... Someone should help define selfishness and self-centeredness, please.

iCauseTrouble, I have nothing against you. I was only trying to maintain and encourage the culture or spirit that has sustained nairaland since its inception.

I will always speak the truth if I see something wrong. And yeah, I will reveal the person behind this handle when it is time. Happy Weekend.

It all started when he was allegedly burnt by stage lights when he was performing one of his songs on stage, he was badly burned, which resulted him opting for series of reconstructive surgeries to save the parts that was badly burnt on his body to maintain his looks as a superstar, and that caused the sudden occasional changes he had during his lifetime. Moreover, he had acute vitiligo that kept developing all over his face and body as he gets older.

Again, then, cases of racism and blacks stars not fully accepted in the white dominated country also contributed to that effect. Michael lived a depressed, restless and a hideous character away from paparazzi when he is off stage due to the troubles he was passing through at that time, apart from the aforementioned ones, other troubles he encountered was the alleged child molestation cases that was in court which almost ruined his character and life and so on.

Furthermore, inasmuch as Michael Jacksons were the biggest artiste then, he was and is loved by many fans all over the world, sold out countless concerts, had millions of dollars plus numerous investments, his life away from the spotlight were characterised with so many unexplained Controversies, indeed he was a tortured and restless soul, that explained why he constantly took high formulated drugs for him to sleep at nights.

Away from all the negative parts that accosted him while he was alive, he was the greatest entertainer ever lived. His childlike voice is unmatched, he made the world dance, he brought so many creativity in the world of music which inspired everyone and most particularly to millions of music and creative artiste all around the world. He was and is a legend, king of pop music as fondly called. He left his footprint on the sand of time, which made him and his music unique and timeless.

I was so emotional reading all of this... You are a true fan. Thanks for the write-up. Most people didn't even know half of what you wrote here.

GoodMorning all ,

I will make this as short as possible.
Before marrying my wife she seems to be this very generous and accommodating fellow . I felt fall in Love with her because this is just the kind of partner I want,

I have not really stand very well financially, though comfortable and contented, but I have this great dream of, because of what I pass through to help as much people as I can.
While dating her, she told me all kinds of stories of her philanthropic and generous gestures to people.

But moving forward to today, she seems to be direct opposite of everything.
She detests people coming close or we offering any kind of help or assistance to family both hers and mine not to talk of friends.

What about suggesting to assist a relative that can't afford, with their child education na war
We have not born but I have more than enough space to bring one or two children to see them through school but my wife is not buying is at all at all.

I know who I am before I marry, this is the only thing that gives me joy, and my only reason for asking God everyday to bless me so that I can bless people.

But right now am seriously confused
it hurts me alot but I don't wanna force anything against her will.

I have tried discussing it over and over with her but she is still not buying it, with the excuse of that we have not stand enough to carry anybody .

What could be her reasons and
What should I do?

Help but MAKE SURE YOU DO IT WITH SERIOUS control... She has her fears for kicking against it. People take advantage of generous people.

There was a Nairaland member that made a quote that has stuck to me... "if you act like food, people will eat you"

While it is good to be good, don't overdo it because you will regret it for real. I have seen people do good to their own detriment that led to their own death and the children suffered because of that. Listen to your wife.

Just look at the nonsense coming out of you. Keep your sales to yourself. It is better that way than doing what your friend is doing. This is not about hypocrisy but stating how things are done.

Interesting..

While I must state equivocally that no "kettle" has the right to call any "pot" black.

It is worthy to note that unless there's a previously agreed NDA, posting the amount a domain is sold without revealing the name only serves as inspiration for the up and coming.

In my opinion, the name itself is of more value to this community than the amount sold.
Both the money and the name have gone to their respective destinations; it is knowledge that the rest of us desire.

If the fear/excuse is that someone may register something similar; what then is the essence of domain trends?.
Besides it is neither your time nor money being used.

If u'll rather not post what is more valuable, then better not post at all. The price being displayed is of little value me.

The chaps on Namepros, DNGeek, et-al do not tow this line; we as well should not. The domaining community is far bigger than nairaland.

Like someone said..this thread has had it's up and downs, but my joy is that the vision of IykePromotions still stands till date.

Let me stop at this junction. I implore the concerned individuals to rethink and reconsider. No one is an island of knowledge.

#Peace

God bless you! VERY simple thing.

Oga, it's is not compulsory you read my sales anytime I post it. You can act as if you didn't see it or I didn't post anything. In as much I am on this thread, I will keep posting my sales the way I deem it fit. Nobody can tell me what to do with my sales. When you also make your sale, post it the way you like, half, full or censored. If you like, don't post at all
And we are saying the keep the furking nonsense to yourself if you can't disclose everything. Keep it. It is better that way. The industry is driven by Data that propelled your ass into starting in 2018. Keep your damn sales to yourself. You are not bigger than Abdul Basit and others who still disclose what is sold till this day except when NDA is involved.

What do you take yourself for? GTFOH man!

Thanks to the bosses who've kept the thread alive.

This sold last year
$1999
Hold time: 8 months
We can tell them what to do. On namepros, people kick against such attitude because the industry is driven by Data.

I still stand by my words that HE and EVERYONE ELSE WOULDN'T HAVE STARTED if there was nobody reporting sales. You think it is motivation that made people to join? NO! it is those reported sales and nothing else.

I do not want to report this sale before so as to allow peace to reign as I have always been attacked anytime I report a sale.
I think using whois privacy has both advantages and disadvantages depending on the situation but I have been lucky for not using privacy for some of my domains.
This indian guy contacted me for this domain name and we haggled from $600 to $1300.
The domain name could have been my first Rooted. Com sale. I listed it for $1995 on Rooted. When I thought that Rooted will take 25%, I had to let it go for $1300.
I set up the transaction on DAN, the guy paid immediately. DAN commission for the transaction is 5% and I have $1235 transferred to me.
Attacked for reporting a sale? can you show proof where you have been attacked for doing good? I mean a case where you reveal what you sold, not where you blur out a section.

Even when you claim to be reporting sales here, you didn't report anything. You did exactly what you have been doing.. the only thing people who read this know is the price it sold for. No one knows what you sold and I am saying it is best you keep everything to yourself than doing this.

People who do this kind of thing you do here on namepros are often called out and told to desist from such because it does not benefit anyone at the end of the day.

Congrats on your sale.

Your kind won't even report first sales here.
You really think it is a newbie behind this handle, don't you? grin if you read what you quoted, it should have given you a revelation that this handle has historical records.

That guy knows he wouldn't have started if there were no reported sales or data to show that this stuff works.

However, you have people who benefitted heavily from those that laid the foundation hoarding the same data that was used to give them a leap and thereby denying those coming after them a glimpse of what is possible.

There is no point in giving the price a domain name is sold but hoarding what was sold. It is just as good as not saying anything; so I would advise he keeps everything, price, and domain name because it does not really benefit anyone. So what's the point?

I personally do not need it but just stating what I have observed on here. This thread will die IF everyone stops reporting sales. Aren't we all Nigerians? It is our way of doing things after all. NamePros or the domaining industry wouldn't exist if it was a Nigerian who conceived the idea in the first place and even if it was conceived, it wouldn't have lasted much simply because people hide information that can benefit others.

Good luck to you all.

See, there is this thing about educated Nigerians that they do not seems to grasp about life. The illiterates among us have a good grasp of this reality and that is why you find that what MANY educated Nigerians will tell you cant be done, an illiterate that grew up in the street will tell "oga, leave am to me, I go handle am"

Some times, we have to detach ourselves from that background and adapt to reality. It is not surprising that thugs hold sway in Lagos, are wealthy in a scale that many professors in Nigeria can only dream of.
