A concerned woman shared photos of a badly beaten 9 year old Onyinyechi on her Facebook page, saying Onyinye, who serves as a housemaid, was beaten by her madam/aunty. How you can beat a girl this little, to the extent that you leave marks on her body and give her a red patch on her eye is beyond me. People like this should be arrested. A little girl called Onyinyechi (9yrs) always come to my mum’s shop where am currently working while waiting for youth service, to buy some things for her Aunty. This little girl is always full of smiles but only when you take a closer look at her, would you see the agony she passes through in the hands of her madam.

On Monday when she came to the shop, there were blood stains on her cloth and when I looked at her head, I saw that it was broken in two different places.
When I asked who did that to her, she said that it was her Aunty that broke her head because her aunty’s daughter’s baby food finished and she did not tell her. I was close to tears and when I asked if she had eaten she said no, by 12pm ooo
I wanted to send in this post that day but I decided to wait but what I saw today was another level of wickedness.
Onyinyechi came to the shop today to see me, to show me the latest designs her aunty made on her body with bite and belt marks included. Flogging her with belt and giving her a red patch on her eye was not enough, she had to bite her too and she is not going to school.
Please readers, I would love it if any human right worker can help this little girl before she dies in the hands of her madam please help. The names of her parents are Mr and Mrs Bernard and Rose Nkrem in Umunoha, Imo State, but she does not have their contact or that of any of her siblings.
If any of you recognises this girl or know her parents, please contact them to come and take their daughter away before her corpse will be all that is left to take. God bless you all.

Emma Tapping from the Isle of Man has been on the receiving end of criticism from internet users who questioned her parenting abilities after a photo of the gifts she got her kids for Christmas went viral. Emma got her kids three hundred gifts and despite the criticisms, she is adamant she has done nothing wrong.

“The way I see it is you can buy your kids two presents or 200 presents – it’s the way you bring them up,” she told British television program This Morning . “My kids know the difference between right and wrong, they appreciate everything they get, and they don’t get spoiled throughout the year.”
Tapping also said that she spent around $2,276 on the gifts and does not even own a credit card.
She stated that she refused to pay full price for any of the gifts she purchased, opting for bargain hunting by following the advice of British financial adviser Martin Lewis.
“I’m not rich. I literally start from January, use every bargain that I can, and I shop all year round to make the pile as big as it is, and I start wrapping presents in August,” she said. “And I do it all year round to give my kids the best Christmas I can.”

President Buhari yesterday said that his adminstration will soon publish names of those who have returned portions of their loot.
President Buhari, according to Vanguard said that the Central Bank of Nigeria will soon publicly release the names of those who looted the country’s treasury and have returned parts of their loot.

He said the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) hasn’t published the list yet because they don’t want to jeopardize investigations and further recoveries.
At the 15th session of the Anyiam-Osigwe Foundation lecture at the International Conference Centre, in Abuja yesterday, the president said:

“We have taken steps towards recovering a reasonable amount of the money that was looted or misappropriated from public coffers. Investigations are ongoing on public officers who served, or are still serving, and those whose conduct are questionable will be compelled to accept the path of honour and surrender their loot,” he said. “As I stated recently, a good number of people who abused their positions are voluntarily returning the illicit funds.
“I have heard it said that we should disclose the names of the people, and the amount returned. Yes, in due course, the Central Bank of Nigeria will make information available to the public on the surrendered funds, but I must remark that it is yet early days, and any disclosure now may jeopardize the possibility of bigger recoveries. “But we owe Nigerians adequate information, and it shall come in due course.

A statement released on Friday, December 11, by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman says that some soldiers conveying foodstuffs to troops were ambushed along Bama-Ngurosoye by suspected Boko Haram elements yesterday Thursday, December 10.

A search and rescue team that was sent to Bokos general area has recovered corpses of a soldier and a civilian JTF, as well 6 burnt AK-47 rifles. The team has also intensified search for a missing soldier. The Explosive Ordinance Device element on the team have discovered and detonated an Improvised Explosive Device buried along the road.

They have also found out and destroyed Boko Haram terrorists hideout in the area. It will be recalled that Ngurosoye has been cleared of terrorists months ago, but some elements of Boko Haram terrorists that were thought to be innocent civilians, sneaked into that and sprang an ambush on troops escorting supplies to our force at the front lines yesterday.

Despite the unfortunate incident, troops morale remain very high and they have continued with their patriotic duties of searching for and destroying the Boko Haram terrorists in their enclaves.

No fewer than 14 people were killed after Boko Haram members attacked Kamuya village in Borno State yesterday December 10th. There are reports that a few people were beheaded. Kamuya is the village of the mother of the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai.

Residents of the village say the sect members who arrived on foot and bicycles, started shooting sporadically and burning down homes immediately they came into there village‎. One of the village, Ibrahim Babagana who spoke to AFP said

“This morning (Friday), some of us went back to the village. We found 14 bodies. Some of them were decapitated and their heads placed on their torso. Seven others were shot dead. They have all been buried. The entire village has been razed.”‎.

President Muhammadu Buhari has accepted the invitation of the Osigwe Anyiam Osigwe Foundation as the Keynote Speaker for this year edition of the annual lecture series, which will hold on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The central theme of the 2015 edition of the lecture is titled: -To live in the way that Honours: Incorruptibility; A spiritual Premise for Material wellbeing.

President Buhari is expected to speak on the topic: The contradictions that inhibit anti-corruption initiatives in Nigeria and the perspective to their deconstruction The Central Theme of the lecture series are drawn from the collection of writings of Emmanuel Onyechere Osigwe Anyiam-Osigwe in the course of his earthly sojourn.

Also expected at the session is Dr. Mathew Hassan Kukah, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese, Sokoto who will preside over the proceedings as the Chairman. Speaking on the choice of President Buhari as the Keynote Speaker, the Coordinator General of the Foundation, Mr. Charles Anyiam-Osigwe said, “the foundation acknowledges President Buhari’s distinguished credentials reflective in his efforts at eliminating corruption from the Nigerian socio-political space while functioning in various capacities in the governance process including his most valued initiatives in that regards as Head of State of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 1983-1985.

Fox News has suspended two on-air contributors in the wake of crude language they used on different programs on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network on Monday to discuss Obama’s Sunday evening remarks on terrorism.

“Earlier yesterday, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air,”said Bill Shine, senior executive vice president of programming for both networks, in a prepared statement. “Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks.”
The two networks are both owned by 21st Century Fox.

Ralph Peters, a Fox News analyst and retired Army officer, made his comments on a Fox Business Network program hosted by Stuart Varney on Fox Business, saying “the President is such a total pussy, it’s stunning” to describe the President’s remarks on terrorism delivered on Sunday evening, eventually prompting host Stuart Varney to demand Peters apologize.

Stacy Dash while speaking on Fox News’ “Outnumbered,” said that the President didn’t “give a s—” about terrorism.

The two aren’t the first cable-news personalities to utter a disparaging word about a prominent public figure. Martin Bashir resigned from MSNBC in late 2013 after making intemperate remarks about conservative pundit and one-time Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Alec Baldwin was removed from a Friday-night program he had begun to host for MSNBC in November of that year after he was heard uttering an anti-gay slur while confronting reporters in an incident not related to his hosting duties. He did not return to the air, choosing instead to part ways with MSNBC.

According to Vanguard the Minister has already listed Innoson Motos and PAN Nigeria as the only companies to supply his preferred vehicles.

“This is to inform the general public that the Boko Haram terrorist group has continued to establish and operate sleeper cells whose (sole) mandates are to conduct surveillance and carry out subsequent attacks in the FCT. This disclosure has become necessary following the arrests of the sect’s members who migrated from various conflict theaters in the North East to the FCT in order to enable them capitalize on the excitement of the yuletide season to launch attacks in the city.
For instance, on October 29th, 2015, the duo of Muhammed Hassan Idris (a Nigerien) and Baba Abdul Maina were arrested at Panteka area of Apo, Abuja. This was followed by the arrest of Sanni Mohammed (aka Kakase) and Ahmed Umaru (aka Mallam; Mallam Hamdi Garne; Ahmed Daubi) in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Sanni, who hails from Potiskum, Yobe State, fled the area following his involvement in coordinated suicide attacks in Yobe, Plateau, Kano and Kaduna States.

In a related development, on 19th November 2015, Mohammed Shiwar ABUBAKAR and Musa TA’ADA were arrested at Shoprite Junction, Apo, Abuja. ABUBAKAR hails from Borno State and operates as a taxi driver in Abuja. He is of an unknown address but claims that he sleeps in his Volkswagen Golf car at the Honda line, Apo mechanic village, Abuja. The Gwoza-born TA’ADA also operates under the cover of a suya seller at Apo Primary School along Kabusa Road, Abuja. Still, on 23rd November, 2015, one Ahmed HASSAN was arrested while carrying out surveillance on a high-profile hotel in the city.

He hails from Katagum, Bauchi State. Suspect admitted using the cover of a beggar to sustain surveillance on his targets. Bulama Ali, had previously been arrested in Karu, Nasarawa State, on 22nd November, 2015. Similarly, on 1st December, 2015, Hassan Abubakar and Mohammed Gwale Mohammed were arrested at Madalla, in Suleja LGA of Niger State following intelligence that they were planning to commence attacks in the FCT after a successful surveillance of the city. Before his arrest, Abubakar was working with other sect members in different parts of the country notably Borno, Yobe, Taraba and Adamawa States. Abubakar was arrested in the house of Mohammed GWALE who claims to be a Federal Civil Servant from Niger State.

He (Gwale) has made useful statements which are helping with further investigation. So far, preliminary investigations reveal that the suspects and others still at large may have adopted their respective trades as plausible covers to infiltrate the city and its environs in their bid to conduct successful surveillance and map out soft targets for the sect’s attacks. The DSS’ operations are, therefore, aimed at preempting any attacks by the terrorist elements against the backdrop of the upcoming festive period and beyond.

It is in this regard that the Service wishes to advise residents and all law abiding Nigerians to remain vigilant especially at this yuletide season and promptly report to security agencies any suspicious movements and persons in the FCT and even other parts of the country. The Service also assures the general public that it will continue to carry out its responsibility of ensuring peace and security in Abuja and beyond.

Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, the son of embattled chairman of DAAR group, Chief Raymond Dokpesi has released a statement distancing his father from the controversial $2.1 billion arms deal scandal.

According to a statement released titled “The Continued Detention of High Chief Raymond Dokpesi by The EFCC on Allegations of Money Laundering” which was signed by him, he said his father was only contracted to develop a Multi Media Strategic Development Support Project to promote and project the achievements and highlight the challenges of former president Jonathan’s government. THE CONTINUED DETENTION OF HIGH CHIEF RAYMOND DOKPESI BY THE EFCC ON ALLEGATIONS OF MONEY LAUNDERING
1. It has become very imperative that following an article published in the Nation Newspaper and reprinted in other online and social media, that we provide more clarification on the current detention without trial of Dr. Raymond Dokpesi by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC in Abuja over allegations of Criminal Conspiracy and Money Laundering.
2. In the first place there is no iota of truth whatsoever that Dr. Dokpesi had a hand in any transaction with the former National Security Adviser regarding the purchase of arms, locally or internationally. This falsehood has become commonplace as his detention is constantly being associated with what has generally become known by the media as the $2.1 Billion US Dollars Arms Deal Scandal.

We will like to make it abundantly clear that Dr. Dokpesi’s DAAR INVESTMENT & HOLDINGS COMPANY LTD, initiated a proposal to the Presidency of Former President Goodluck Jonathan proposing a Multi Media Strategic Development Support Project to promote and project the achievements and highlight the challenges of his government whilst demystifying false information gleefully circulated by the propaganda machinery of the then opposition party.
4. The proposal was submitted to the Former President in person by Dr. Dokpesi and his team in the presence of the Former Vice President and the Former National Security Adviser at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. We must further emphasize that the proposal had absolutely nothing to do with the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), nor the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
5. We understand that this proposal was thoroughly studied, approved and paid for by the Presidency through the office of the National Security Adviser which to the best of our knowledge has multiple budgetary sub-heads including for the promotion and propagation of information to sustain and stabilize the government and its administration.
6. We are still at a loss as to why a Federal Government that claims to have been popularly elected only about six months ago, will embark on a wide scale propaganda, misinformation and brazen falsehood just to achieve its objective of decimating its perceived political opponents and supporters of the previous government’s administration.
7. High Chief Raymond Dokpesi remains a law abiding and consummate patriot who has served his fatherland to the best of his ability with Zeal, Zest and oftentimes a very infectious sense of patriotism.
8. For the avoidance of doubt, Dr Dokpesi has never applied nor bidded for a contract for the purchase of arms. Nor has he ever been registered with the Ministry of Defence for the similar objective of engaging in the supply of Arms for the Government. Unfolding events will soon prove irrefutably and unlike what fictious stories are being fed to the media as published by The Nation Newspaper on Friday 4th December 2015.
9. We urge the Buhari-led APC Government to rigorously investigate all political and economic crimes thoroughly before embarking on a media trial and sentencing even before the law courts of Nigeria have an opportunity to adjudicate.
10. Our democracy must grow on all fronts but more so under the rule of law which remains the bedrock of any democratic system.

Gunmen have killed one Diseye Dickson, the APC deputy ward leader at Odi in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government. Residents of the area say the APC leader was killed on Wednesday Dec. 2nd after the gunmen failed in their mission to abduct one Chief Watson Ogoriba, the elder brother to a former two-time member of the House of Representatives, Warman Ogoriba. The gunmen, eight in number and clad in military uniforms, killed Dickson while on their way out of Odi community.
Meanwhile APC through the Sylva/Igiri Campaign Organisation (SICO), have alleged that the killing was carried out by suspected thugs hired by the PDP.

Wife of one of the Doctors at First Consultant Hospital in Lagos, Dr Adewale Adejoro, gave birth to an Ebola-free baby girl on Tuesday December 1st, a month after another Ebola survivor, Dr Ada Igonoh gave birth to a baby girl in the US. Dr Adewale was the first doctor to have come in contact with the first case of Ebola in Nigeria, Patrick Sawyerr.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose has suspended the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Modupe Alade, for alleged incompetence. Alade, before her appointment was the Treasurer of Ayo Fayose Campaign Organisation prior to the 2014 Ekiti governorship election.

According to the statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday, November 3, the suspension would last for three months.

The statement also disclosed that Fayose directed Head of Service (HoS), of the State, Dr Gbenga Faseluka, to oversee the office pending her resumption.

Alade retired from the state civil service as a Permanent Secretary. She also worked in ministries of education and local government affairs.
