As rightly noted by the various posts, it depends on what you want for urself, what you have and can make out of it. Its amazing that the likes that have schoold abroad are of the opinion that one enjoy what u do for a living while the nija bred are not of that of school of thot(if you dont mind my classification). Don de Maco is rite to the extent that working in the likes of KPMG, Accenture and PWC dont pay much but it does to a greater extent guarantees you a better a paying job, exposure etc. So if u do have the opportuinity of getting into one, good for you. Mind you some companies look at where your coming from if a smaller company. i had a colleague who had worked at a small company then moving to a good advertising firm, she was told that since she was coming from a smaller company she could not be placed on the next level. What do u say about that . Best to think abt these things while asking God for guidance. |
Well i have had the opportunity of speaking with industry experts within the oil and gas industry likewise i have colleagues that started their careers from the likes of KPMG, PWC and accenture. They are usually very well grounded in whatever aspect they are into. While those within the oil and gas industry are of the opinion that without a doubt the oil and gas industry is very well known for the pay package however, they get to a stage where the work is no longer challenging. Having said the above, it all depends on the careerpath you choose and what u want. would u want to struggle it out in the KPMG, PWC and accenture's of this world (they accept candidates with a minimum of 2.1 while PWC does accept 2.2) and move to teh oil and gas industry later on in your career or just start off with the oil company. |
I suggest u think about it carefully. True there r ways arond it i.e. checking the blood type of the child at a certain stage but the moral considertaions, i am not sure its something you may want to get into. I was in a relatnship for 4yrs only to find out we were both AS . We agreed it was best to go our separate ways. In the long run, we r better off. I am sure u will find someone else. Its ur call. Take heart |
its interesting to find out about working hrs for other banks, my bank closes for 5pm but by 6pm the place is a ghost town. In fact my boss leaves me in d office check that out My dept is empty by 5.30pm na wa oh different strokes ![]() |
I find myself in the same position; i have more qualification, older but he has more exposure due to his cnsultancy background. Initially we were close but later discovered that he had a condescending atitude and only to find out that i am older than him while he tries to potray himself as older than his age. time to time i get irritated and may snap which is not good but it does need getting used to. Apart from the fact that he tries to make u look like u r not working i try sometimes to put him in check in nice subtle ways. u may say that I dont love my job, i do but what can u do. ![]() |
