I'm still very much optimistic, no matter the situation. I think the major impediment here has been the change of government........... There was a news item last week that indicated that all the government establishments under the power sector as well as the ministry of power would be having a forum at the Senate very soon. NERC would clock 10 in October and i think there should be continuity in system even if the tenure of this present commission is not renewed. Imagine how much NERC would have paid to Restral regarding the consultation fees for recruitment. Are you now insinuating that the whole money would be wasted in the event that this recruitment process is cancelled ? @Brosiye99 |
Brosiye99 thanks for this...... Perhaps, NERC might not be occupying the whole building. Perhaps, they could even move to the only floors occupied by them. Please keep in touch with your contact there. |
Guys, be calm and stay positive...... I guess their new office should be in advanced stage of completion now.. @Brosiye99 @Kunleezra |
@Kunleezra @Brosiye99 , indeed, i do appreciate all your moves and efforts and i sincerely hope that we will all beam in SMILES at the end of it all...... So does it mean that the recent in-takes were mainly for the Regional Offices, Forum or others ![]() |
@Brosiye99 . Thanks for writing. Of course there are now two government agencies in the power sector, i.e Nigerian Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO) and Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) . However, they haave different functions. I really don't know why the GEJ administration had to come up with another body in the light of the realities on ground regarding the state of the country. Perhaps, this new administration might decide to collapse them into just one or two bodies..... |
Please where is Brosiye99? He seems to have access to credible feelers and information. @Kunleezra , perhaps you could call NERC again for updates. Thanks for craving your indulgence. |
@Kunleezra AMEN! |
@Kunleezra , any feelers Something tells me that the final interview could be done at the present headquarters before they finally relocate to the permanent office later. |
@Brosiye , thanks for the response. Please keep in touch. Here is my email if you don't mind:- kay_teex1@yahoo.com |
@Brosiye , please let me crave your indulgence ------ Do you have an idea of the remuneration, pay-package and/or condition of service for Assistant Managers and Managers at NERC ![]() |
@Brosiye Why the delay in resumption for that fellow meant for the North Central Regional Office ![]() |
Perhaps, the building might be at the stage of 'finishings'; 'fittings' etc before moving there..... |
okay, i get the picture clearly.... |
@Brosiye99 , @Kunleezra does it mean that nobody in this thread has been successfully taken for the regional recruitment .. I thought one or two good news from them would serve as encouragement to their peers in HQ recruitment ? |
@Brosiye99 , please keep tab with your links there |
Brosiye99 , that's another vital info from you. Obviously, they would need to get the said building furnished before moving there. Have you ever tried to pull a call through to the NERC HR telephone line provided in this thread? |
***is a vital factor |
@Brosiye , you are very much on point. The NERC calendar year runs from October, being the actual month of commencement of operations. I believe this recruitment would be concluded by October 2015, moreso NERC would be exactly 10 years in operation...... Again, i believe the completion of permanent site of NERC in a vital factor towards the logical conclusion of this recruitment... |
@Brosiye , hello brother!.... Concerning the last question you posed to me:- i heard that a new board was constituted. Perhaps, those were the individuals sighted by the NYSC member there. Again, the Corper stated in the other nairaland link that the individuals in question were all elderly.... |
@cowboyvs could it be that these employees you are referring to are meant for the various zonal offices? |
@u3fine , you are most likely correct |
@Furrylow , thanks for that!. Of course NERC is a revenue-generating agency but they still receive subventions from the Federal Government. If you visit the NERC website check ''About'' page and find out that although NERC is generating revenue, the Federal Government still fund it and that sometime in the nearest future NERC would be FULLY independent of the Federal Government in terms of revenue generation. You would agree with me that at every point in time when NERC is having its recruitment money is involved in the whole logistics...... |
The delay by National Assembly in passing the 2015 budget was a major factor..... Since this was finally passed last week, i believe we should expect some news from NERC sooner than thought (my opinion anyway) |
@Opuama , then you must probably at some oil companies, CBN or NNPC since you stated that you've got a better job than NERC....... Congrats again! |
@Kunleezra , what exactly are you expecting from Dr Sam Amadi. For those Zonal Applicants who are still curious, i would suggest they try and contact some of these mobile numbers displayed alongside the Zonal office addresses earlier posted in this thread. Perhaps, there could be useful first-hand info there...... |
@opuama , what position did you apply for in NERC? |
Congratulations |
