Those that applied thru the UK site will be interviewed for Global position and not Nigeria position although you'll start off in Nigeria All the positions in Shell are global positions regardless of the site the application is made thru. As a result a good proportion of the recruitment process is the same worldwide. The principal reason why you were not called for the test has to do with cost. The company wants to be certain that yo have a good chance of been taken and as such you are not expected to come into the country until the final assesment. |
@kvloander certain ppl will be exempted from the test. I want to believe you will be exempted if your status reads that you have been shortlisted and you used a UK address in your application. |
Heard Shell is currently running another recruitment campaign for graduates, dont know what's going on considering the fact that a lot of successful candidates from last years's campaign have not been called. |
Shell calls on a need basis, so I cannot tell how soon people will be called. It also depends on your SRD scores. |
It's a decent package w/out the relocation thing. it's just that it makes it more attractive. |
Worth the wait esp since I am relocating which means extra renumeration. Applied for a position in finance/accounting. |
I had problems logging on to Nairaland (forgot my password) anyways I was called earlier this month for my medicals and an offer was sent later this month. I will be resuming in May. Guess others will soon be called as soon as positions are identified |
@ edoblakky, what happened after ur medicals? applied for a commercial role and was sent a similar mail, want to knw if shell has found an opportunity within the group. |
Considering the fact that engineers that passed the SRD but could not make the SITP got the same mail i.e. review, and have not been contacted since June. I don't know what to make of the number of successful candidates that Shell wants to find a suitable graduate opportunity for. |
@nenginengi I got a similar mail |
I also got the same mail, thank God |
I have not received any mail also after attending the SRD, guess they haven't gotten back to ppl who had their SRD in Lagos. 'Cos I'm aware they have sent mails advising ppl who were unsuccessful in PH however I've not seen anybody in Lag who has received a mail stating he was unsuccessful or otherwise. @ Nnengi(hope I spelt it correctly) where was ur SRD Lag or PH? |
I applied 4 a position in finance and accounting. Just like u my SRD is later this week, however I'm certain that is not anything twisted. |
Guess people are busy preparing for the SRD which started last week Tuesday, anyways people who gone thru the SRD can share their experiences. |
Has anyone heard from Shell?10 working days have passed after the interview and I have not heard from them. Although my application status shows that I have been shorlisted. |
I was interviewed last week also, all u need to have is confidence. I think the real thing is the SRD. I was suprised that they just got n touch with u on Wed. |
I would like to know about major oil and gas firms in Nigeria and the number of employees they have. I need to size the market for a service used by people in this industry. Hope there is someone out there that can help. |
@hayo Nobody likes a Mr Smart Guy, esp. one who believes he knows it all. It would maen KPMG is less than 5years as a legal entity, guess you never heard of KPMG Peat marwick until 2000 |
interesting. Are you an alumnus of LBS? What prog, and what are you doing presently? |
yes, you do. However you have to analyse your strengths, weaknesses and interest. With this done you will be able to identify opportunities which will help you chart a career plan and progression. Most importantly, don't write yourself off |
kpmg isn't the former AA. However, Accenture emerged from AA and the tax and auditing arms of AA were acquired by kpmg. Kpmg was one of the big six i.e price waterhouse, coopers and lybrand, ernst and young, AA, delloite and KPMG. |
the tuition fee for 07/08 is 900k ie 300k per term. however u av 2 conider that there ar 2 sessions, and the tuition fee is almost certainly going to increase. if u intend runnin a full-time mba @LBS u might be thinkin of 2million naira for tuition |
have u paid your 1st term deposit to secure a space @d school.it is an intensive prog, it is called an mba prog and it is rightly so called |
