If you are a Nigerian and you support Trump, you are a fool who knows nothing about life and how this world is ran

PoliticsRe: Cost Of Living Comparison: UK Vs. Nigeria by teeytimi: 5:26pm On Jun 27, 2024
In as much as I understand that cost of living is very high in Nigeria right now. What you have up there is not the truest picture to compare the two countries with.

Rent of two bedroom flat per month in the UK is most time more than half the monthly income, not to talk of so many tax that will take more than half of the remaining income.

I am not saying Nigeria is easy to live in right now I am just letting you know that you should have a wholesome comparism.

“What investment does he has there that all these noise is being made. Go to the Total Estate and find out. There are two Obas within that zone. Let me start from chenet zero.”

Is Umahi insinuating that the South East people are illiterate noise makers?

PoliticsRe: What Was Nigeria Producing When A Dollar Was 200 by teeytimi: 10:25pm On Mar 29, 2024
chinchum:
The recent waves of Japa in the last 7 years is yet to yield appreciable remittance, it will yield at some point . There is a gestation period for most people who left to begin remit appreciably . It is at least 10 years for most people. If you spend 40,000usd to leave the country, when do you settle down enough to meet your basic needs in your new country and can then begin to remit hundreds of thousand dollars? Sending 100 dollars every month when you used 40,000usd is not bringing the ROI.

There are Nigerians in Diaspora that left 15-50 yrs ago, many are accomplished enough to start building large homes , companies and remitting to families. The bulk of remittance are coming from those set of people.

Youu will agree with me that rate of "Japa" increased a lot in the last 7 years., Most of this new set of japarians in the last 7 years are not self fulfilled in their country of origin to bring any tangible remittance beyond some few hundred and thousands, there may be very rare exceptions, they are close to negligible

If you spend 40,000usd to leave Nigeria and start remitting 500usd monthly to Nigeria the moment you got in to the new country, how long will it take to remit 40,000usd? 7 years. Most recent japarians can't even remit 500usd monthly yet.
I understand the angle you are coming from but sincerely no one spent $40,000 to japa from the country, the recent student japa to UK is the most expensive jada in the history of Nigeria and on the average no family spent more than 25000usd.

God is in the temple, not in the church but Christ is the body of the church.

This is why I like being under sound men of God that teach bible based truth and not the enticing words of Mens wisdom just to stir up excitement in you.
Its high time we Christians stopped defending rubbish. He has no right to sell that church, it's the effort of the entire church members to put that structure up there.

The fact he woke up one day and put it up for sale means it is his personal business which is absolutely disgusting.
PoliticsRe: What Was Nigeria Producing When A Dollar Was 200 by teeytimi: 5:23pm On Mar 29, 2024
chinchum:
The quest for dollar has increased exponentially and our dollar earnings has decreased due to reduced oil production.

Nigeria was producing over 2.3 million barrels per day of oil to earn dollars at some point. Today it is barely 1.5 million bpd, an increase from about 1- 1.2million bpd some 6 months ago.

The japa waves( one way emigration) in the last 7 years is also shooting up demand for the dollar. More people want to school abroad as well( most will not come back). An average individual leaving the country to a developed country spends 40,000usd . Those paying school fees may spend more than that.

The sharp change in taste by low middle class and above for exotic equipments and materials has changed as well. The level at which every lady need to use expensive hair. The high brand phones as well that are all imported. Even household appliances in many homes are no longer basic that are now imported.

The population increase with no matching increase in production of goods and services .

More money laundering by politicians keeping stolen money in foreign currency abroad or in their underground storage.

These reasons and some others all contributed to what we have now.
Your number point is a fact and one main reason we are where we are today, instead of our export to be growing with our population it is reducing.

But the number 2 point is pure fallacy, japa has brought more good than bad to the Nigerian economy. The dollar the japa people remit back to the Country's economy is more than four times of what they used in "japaing".

Didn't you read where the Central bank said the major source of forex in the month of February was diaspora remittance.

The government need to increase oil export to at least 3mbd to achieve some level of level of long term stability.

I believe dangote refinery working at near full capacity coupled with some other refinery coming on stream before 2024 ending will see to a larger appreciation of the naira
EducationRe: Workers Are Richer Than Prayer Worriors: Church Attendance Is Now A Profession by teeytimi: 11:21am On Mar 06, 2024
seiyefajohn:
WORKERS ARE RICHER THAN PRAYER WORRIORS:

Church attendance is now a profession that should be added to the list of professions available in Nigeria. I say this because most churches now open from Monday(s) to Sunday(s), when schools, businesses and corporate firms are opening in the morning, you will find many churches already open and practicing their religious craft (i did not say crap).

Church services was mostly on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays), until most denominations and prayer houses turned week days into their meeting days. Permit me to ask, if we pray for money and other issues of life Monday to Sunday, when will we actually work for the physical outcome of offered prayers? Is it not suppose to be after prayer then work? Or is it miracle wealth that we seek?

In fact, in most developed societies; it is work before prayer. You work, then you offer prayers to God to bless the works of your hands. Hear me, if prayer can produce 10% of wealth to a prayerful person, i can assure you that, work can sharefully produce the remaining 90% measure of missing wealth. This must be the reason WORKERS are richer than prayer WORRIORS.

I am Seiyefa John✍️🎬 abeg no vex if this one touch you.
This is one of the many causes of Nigeria problem, people leave work and turn to prayers for survival. That's the reason we have remained poor and will still continue to be poor

Tell me, I'm interested in knowing what you do in which country and how much you have sent?
That's one major problem with you lots. Come to Europe and experience true essence of living, over here no one cares about what type of work you do to earn money. You know most Nigerians are lazy most just want to sit in the office with their legs on the table chatting all day.
Here ordinary mechanic earn much more than a banker quote me anywhere. You see a banker in Nigeria come over here to do menial jobs and many of you think they are suffering. Make una sidon there
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Are Fleeing Nigeria Because They Are Both Selfish And Cowards by teeytimi: 7:24am On Dec 30, 2023
This OP is so stupid and ignorant at the same time. All over the world people migrate from one part to the other, in fact, the most travelled people are always the most developed.

For your information, those leaving Nigeria for better opportunities are rather brave than been a coward, they do more good to the country than evil. Just to educate you, diaspora remittance is one of the biggest support the Nigerian economy is receiving at the moment without it maybe your Naira would have clock 5000 to dollar.

Alot of ignorant fellows keep opening thread to bash japa people like many of them are not receiving money from their uncles, aunties or friends abroad.

I personally can't calculate how much I have had to send to families and friends back home just within the space of one year that I left.

PoliticsRe: Why Dangote Refinery And Other Local Refinery Can't Drop Price Of Petrol by teeytimi: 9:04pm On Dec 10, 2023
A lot of economic illiterates opening threads up and down, they don't even know what it meant to produce a product locally. They forget petroleum product import gulp over 35% of Nigeria forex.

Even a dullard should know that saving over 35% of our forex that should have been spent on import is a big relief on the national currency. Theoretically, after a year of continued local refining of petroleum it is expected that the nation currency will appreciate significantly.

This is one reason I have always say that the South - South will not develop even if they are given the entire revenue from crude oil.

Their human capital development is really bad
