Trying to build a system to work with CGI. Any suggestions what to do or what not to do. Maybe you have some interesting builds or can advice on the hardware?

I have a basic idea what I should be going for, but since it's my first time doing something like this I could use some guidance from more experienced people.

Nvidia cards are much more supported in videos and graphics, especially 3D rendering, if you are using laptop go the system specifications above but if desktop then buy Nvidia PCI graphic card, it has a new technology called cuda.

Anybody have any suggestions for what GPU would be the best for 3d rendering? I am learning CGI at the moment. Working mainly with blender, but have some knowledge with maya and 3ds max.
