About a month or less on the countdown to the commencement of the 2019 general elections in Nigeria. The electoral body, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its portal for interested persons who meet their requirement to register.

Interested applicants are expected to pass certain eligibility criteria as listed on the INEC recruitment portal after which they can register and proceed to apply for the interested position.


What are the documents required for registration?

An email address (You can create a new email from the following websites Gmail, Yahoomail, Hotmail, etc.)
A mobile phone number
A personal account number with a BNV
A passport photograph (passport must be recent, clear, on a plain background and not larger than 50KB in size)
Referee (you also need to have their contact details such as email address and phone number)
A valid ID card (any means of identification is fine Staff ID No./ Student ID No)
An NYSC Callup Number for former corps members from 2017.

How to Apply INEC Recruitment For ADHOC Staff Online

This is a simple step-by-step guide to a successful INEC online registration without stress. You can do the registration at home, via your computer or mobile phone.

I will prefer you can also visit a cyber cafe for if you don’t have internet facility, scanner and a printer.

Before you hit, take a moment to review the requirements for the available positions, so can know which position you are qualified to apply.

Click on Register and fill in you details (email address and phone no.)
Open your email to activate your account by clicking on the activation link. Take note of your password. The email will sent from electionstaff@inec.gov.ng, if not found on your inbox just check on your span folder.
Change your Password. After changing your password, you are automatically logged into the portal and application form will open for you to fill.
Fill the Application form correctly.

After everything, take a second look at the information to be sure there is no error.

Submit the application form and print your acknowledgement slip in colored. Also, print your acknowledgement slip because you will need this during the final verification.

A dreaded 419 shrine discovered by Police detectives in Osogbo, Osun state capital has been destroyed and one person was arrested at the shine.

The Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr Fimihan Adeoye said the shrine was being used for organised crime by fraudsters.

CP Adeoye who led the operation said that police detectives are on the trail of other members of the gang that escaped arrest.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), says about 200,000 candidates have been offered admission by the board, for the 2018/2019 academic session.
Over 1.6 million candidates wrote JAMB-organised 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The Head, Media and Information of the JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, who disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Lagos, said that the admission took effect after the board’s policy meeting in June in Gbongan, Osun state.
According to him, the exercise is done through the Central Admission Process (CAP), an automated process to eliminate all human interference.

An American animal rights activist has slammed Nigerian comedian, Funnytoheeb, for taping fowls to recreate an outfit Cardi B wore to a fashion show performance.

According to the lady, it’s animal cruelty. Read her posts below:

“Honestly, reading the comments on this post makes me sick to my stomach. How could ANYONE think that this is funny? Chickens are BEAUTIFUL and SENTIENT animals. We’ve objectified them for so long- to the point where people don’t see a problem with this. If this outrages you, like it did me- please go to @funnytoheeb’s (the guy in the picture) instagram as well as @iamcardib’s page and let them know that this is CRUEL.

The driver who picked up the woman accusing Juventus and Portugal footballer Cristiano Ronaldo of rape has said she was ‘happy and excited’ when she got in the car.

The driver, Vince Humphrey picked the woman from the five-star Sanderson Hotel in Marylebone, London, in October 2005.

He has claimed that the woman was ‘giggling’ after leaving the former Real Madrid player’s hotel room and told the chauffeur about Ronaldo’s ‘incredible body,’ reports the Sun.

Ronaldo is currently facing allegations of sexual assault from American Kathryn Mayorga who claims he raped her in the penthouse suite of the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas in June 2009.
