Betanaija42moro: But things were terrible when the 2nd Niger Bridge was being built. Or was it not the same Buhari era when you people claimed Nigeria was the 'world poverty capital' and a failed zoo? When Boko Haram owned territories across northern states? With herdsmen, banditry and kidnapping MORE rampant than today? When IPOB gangs were shooting Igbos for not sitting at home? And bad roads everywhere? Why did NOT ONE of you stand up and say ''this 2nd Niger Bridge costing billions of dollars is a misplaced priority, since we already have the 1st Niger Bridge, and have so many other challenges facing the country''? 22 Likes 3 Shares |

samwash: Start a new thread for that. We're discussing Onitsha here. Is it One rule for ONITSHA and another rule for coastal Nigerians like Calabar people and others? Did you see that first picture? Two expensive multi-billion dollar deepwater bridges sitting right next to each other. You can even walk from one bridge to the other in a few minutes! How is that fair when we have so many roads in the country that need fixing? 10 Likes 1 Share |

Was 2nd Niger Bridge A ''Wasted Venture'' Since You Already Had The 1st Niger Bridge? I don't recall any complaints about the multi-billion dollar state-of-the-art 2nd Niger Bridge being ''a waste of resources since we already have the 1st Niger Bridge, and there are numerous bad roads in the country that need fixing''. Or is it one rule for a section of the country and another rule for others? 2nd Niger Bridge (and 1st Niger Bridge to the left) 1st Niger Bridge 2 Likes 1 Share |

eagleu: Also, US scholar Alice Linsley writes that the Edo people are genetically related to the Edomites, who were neighbours of the Israelites. She also states that the Ijebu people are descended from the Jebusites, another neighbour of Israel. It seems that when they were driven from that area by Romans, they fled together into inner Africa, ie Nigeria, and remained neighbours just as they were over there. That Yorubas, Igbos, Edos, and related groups live in close proximity today is not by accident. It is based on very deep connections going back thousands of years. 3 Likes |

Hebrew = Igbo The Hebrew word for "son" is ben; plural is bānim. In Hebrew you say ‘Josh Ben Kasper’ to mean ‘Josh, son of Kasper’ In Igbo the same is done, usually in the village where everyone knows each other. So if you are referring to a guy in your village named Kelechi Okafor, you would say ‘Kelechi BEH Okafor’, meaning “Kelechi Of The House Of Okafor”, And then the PLURAL of the Hebrew word, Ben, as stated above, is ‘bānim’. In Igbo that of course translates to the same word, BANYIN.. meaning “Our common home”. It’s incredible. 4 Likes |

MaxInDHouse: You can NEVER prove that a man flew up into heaven from a a dinner table after rising from the dead and climbing out of his grave. You can NEVER prove that the said man walked on top of a sea without sinking. You can NEVER prove he raised the dead, changed 3 fishes to 500, or changed water to wine. You can NEVER prove that a man lived in a whale’s belly for 40 days before coming out alive. You believe UTTER NONSENSE AND RUBBISH WITH ZERO EVIDENCE from 3,000 years ago, yet you have the TEMERITY to be demanding “EVIDENCE”, for actual directly lived testimonies of today. It shows you are a brainwashed person. The christians have brainwashed you. And it’s clearly irreversible. 1 Like 1 Share |

SoNature: Shut up. What did your stupid comment have to do with “leaders”? IPOB DEVIL. One idiot makes a silly comment and you blame the black race for it. And then when you are asked why, you say it is because of “our leaders”. You are a pea brain brainwashed by Nnamdi Kanu’s anti black rants on his Biafra radio broadcasts. That’s why you IPOB dropouts have this racial inferiority complex that you blurt out at every opportunity. Sick idiots with no brain too stupid and dumb to realise you are denigrating your own selves and your mothers, fathers and siblings when you denigrate “the black race”. 1 Like |

MaxInDHouse: The torment he is referring to is a mental one. It has nothing to do with the burning of people in a furnace. Look. We get it. You believe what some semi-literate desert goat herders from 3,000 BC claimed in a colonial ‘holy book’ to what your fellow human beings are telling you today, regarding transition. There is no single shred of evidence at all for anything you believe in your little book, including all the “miracles”, yet you have the AUDACITY to be demanding all kinds of proof from the modern testimonies of transition. But sensible people will glean that their validity as verifiable Eyewitness accounts supersedes any silly, dodgy, no-evidence Roman texts from thousands of years ago. 1 Like |
Foreign Affairs / Re: 1917 Film Of China Shows Most Chinese Were Black! by Tellmeastory: 9:30am On Apr 21 |
PureFace1: My friend stop talking rubbish. Why the hell should Africans not know their history? It is that ignorance that makes them feel inferior to other races, which leads to them preferring foreign made goods, foreign gods, skin bleaching, and even embezzlement and siphoning money to deposit in European banks. It’s all caused by the loss of the knowledge of WHO YOU ARE. The Europeans know their history, as do the Chinese, Indians, Japanese, Arabs. They let their history guide them. In China, the principles of their ancient philosopher Confucius are taught to every Chinese kid from Age 5. The Japanese have a policy of ‘Nihonjinron’, ie ‘Japanese values’, based on their ancient history. The UK adopted the Protestant values. These societies are powerful because they stand on deep roots. Africa must likewise regain its link to its powerful history that was disconnected by the colonial era, and ground its forward movement on that knowledge. The European colonialists LIED about African history, and have whitewashed a lot of world history to erase the huge African contribution to world civilisation. It’s our job as Africans to uncover those lies, and teach our people their true history of greatness and achievement. That their ancestors founded empires, not just in Africa, but in China, India, Cambodia, Spain, and other places. They were explorers and seafarers, long before Europeans knew what a canoe was. Knowledge of your past is massively important for instilling confidence and drive to move forward as a people. 3 Likes |
